MCU Fantastic Four Problems

Ok, these are just rumors, maybe real, maybe fake...
It seems that MCU Fantastic four is going through several problems... I'm only going to mention the rumours of the problems of the Shakman version here, since the above is already in the past...
-It is said that Josh Friedman was hired to rewrite the script, since the previous one did not have the “family feeling” in the Fantastic Four.
-It is said that they are having problems with what the director wants and what the studio wants with the film... They cannot coordinate their ideas... The studio has rejected several actors that the director proposed and they want to look for others, originating a conflict between the studio and him… It is said that another reason for the conflict was that the studio has demanded to change the plot of the film once again…
-It is said that for a long time there were problems choosing the official cast of the film... Recently Shakman proposed Matt Smith for Reed Richards, but Marvel did not like the idea, they proposed Jake Gyllenhaal for Reed, who he does not like to Shakman... It is said that this has generated conflict since they cannot coordinate their ideas well...
-There are rumors that say that Shakman is not happy with this problematic situation and that he would be considering abandoning the project...
-The latest rumors say that the only actors who are already selected and signed are Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman and Ebon Moss Bacharach as The Thing... While Mr. Fantastic and Human Torch remain without actors chosen yet.
-Finally, Marvel studios wants the film to be as perfect as possible.
As I said before, these are just rumors, not confirmed of debunked yet...
Cordial greetings.

Most of the rumors got debunked by scoopers. Something about both of them backing out.

Jesus Christ how hard it is to just make a fun family space adventure. I swear I'll send a pipe bomb to Feige's house if he fricks this one up.

It makes sense, Fantastic Four is the only thing coming down the Marvel pipeline that has any sort of hype behind it and Marvel/Disney is probably hoping it'll save the whole franchise after several lackluster to outright disastrous years.

Hard, just look at Quantumania, that was a F4 fanfic.

its going to flop because there is just too much studio interference, too many expectations that the FF will be the core of their relaunched MCU. They want to catch the lightning in the bottle again but the very reason it happened in the first place with IM1 was the studio not caring enough to butt in.

Some little movie featuring some D-list character is going to blow up in the next few years and suddenly a new franchise is born, but you can't force it. Completely out of left field, something like A24 doing a low-budget Elric film, it makes 800 million on a 10 million dollar budget, and now the race is on for his Saga and spin-off characters, Cymoril gets her own movie, Arioch gets a tv series, we get a big Eternal Champion crossover event, etc. Something like that, something you wouldn't think would catch on in a million years but it does and suddenly a nobody like Tony Stark has to have a cameo in order to sell *spider-man* tickets.

      >too many expectations that the FF will be the core of their relaunched MCU
There's a lot of people here hoping that's going to happen with FF or with X-Men, but nobody with an actual working brain thinks this is going to happen. A reboot of something that's already had several live action iterations isn't likely to blow up and be the New Big Thing. Even if Disney somehow absolutely knock it out of the park and make something good, you've got years of audience disinterest in these characters and concepts to overcome. The MCU really would be better off looking for Marvel properties that have never been adapted before, and hoping one of them takes off, over putting all their hopes on an FF reboot.

This sounds fake since both Matt Smith and Jake Gyllenhaal have been in the MCU already.

Smith you could maybe get away with out of makeup and all... but meh.

i2's main problem was being too mild. Its stakes felt "inconsequential" in comparison to the first film

Bird wanted a movie more family focused movie where mr incredible has to deal with being a hero and a family man, while his wife Got dragged into a obvious trap with the fame they got and retired heroes coming back from the woodwork.

        Instead we got that shit.

Why did they even get John Krasinsky for the cameo in Dr Strange MoM if they weren't going to keep him?

Because it was a fan casting that was constantly called for. Because executives randomly use social media in a bubble every so often.

Just wanted to say that I don't get why they cannot adapt comic books when both movies and comic books are mostly visual with some dialogue unlike books... There are like 70 years of fantastic four comic books just adapt a good storyline straight from the pages and that's it.

    Hollywood writers are moronic.

Well this came out a few hours after this post so it seems that at least the rumour of Shakman leaving the project is pure BS. Not sure about the rest tho.
