Some of the shots linger too much, they need to cut them or have the actors move slightly faster. The whole pause action pause hurts the flow and action. I disagree. Miranda Cosgrove was a cute, short, chubby face little sister in Drake and Josh but she also managed to be mean and manipulative. Besides, this is just a still image, and for promotional reasons too. They might have missed the mark with this photo but that doesn’t mean it was a bad casting decision yet. They could do the same thing with Azula and make her a composite of two actors, working together, one of whom is a perfect physical model for her and another who is a perfect voice for her. You clearly have no idea how fricking extreme and burdensome it is to try to gain and then maintain that kind of a body. You basically have to workout for hours daily while also being on a very restrictive diet for months to get the kind of unrealistic muscular and top fitness bodies that you regularly see in movies and tv shows now. Alexander Skarsgård has talked a lot about how he hated the regime he had to keep for months while filming his Tarzan movie, and how he couldn’t eat almost anything.
And a lot of the time studios don’t pay for you to get into shape for a role unless you’re the lead actor and you are contractually required to get into certain kind of shape. And you can still see how people like Hugh Jackman just focus on upper body training specifically because it’s already really taxing and hard to get the muscles and maintain them for the upper body shots that require him to show off his body that doing the same thing for legs would make it longer, harder and more miserable process.

Avatar the Last Airbender peaks at the second season and kind of falls apart in the third season. The third season did not dedicate enough episodes to the actual main plot, which is Aang figuring out how to defeat the Firelord, so it leads to a conclusion that feels like an asspull where Aang miraculously regains the Avatar State after hitting his head on a conveniently placed rock and then has a Lion Turtle grant him powers out of nowhere. While character-focused episodes are nice, at this point the series needed to have a stronger focus on setting up the conclusion and it failed to do that because a large chunk of the third season was arguably filler.
Aang didn't hit his head on a conveniently placed rock, he impaled himself on his spine with a conveniently placed rock. The spine is where Azula hit him (and killed him) with lightning when he was in the Avatar State and was promptly revived by Katara's deus ex machina water she got from the spirit well.

You clearly have no idea how fricking extreme and burdensome it is to try to gain and then maintain that kind of a body. You basically have to workout for hours daily while also being on a very restrictive diet for months to get the kind of unrealistic muscular and top fitness bodies that you regularly see in movies and tv shows now. Alexander Skarsgård has talked a lot about how he hated the regime he had to keep for months while filming his Tarzan movie, and how he couldn’t eat almost anything.
And a lot of the time studios don’t pay for you to get into shape for a role unless you’re the lead actor and you are contractually required to get into certain kind of shape. And you can still see how people like Hugh Jackman just focus on upper body training specifically because it’s already really taxing and hard to get the muscles and maintain them for the upper body shots that require him to show off his body that doing the same thing for legs would make it longer, harder and more miserable process.

Avatar the Last Airbender peaks at the second season and kind of falls apart in the third season. The third season did not dedicate enough episodes to the actual main plot, which is Aang figuring out how to defeat the Firelord, so it leads to a conclusion that feels like an asspull where Aang miraculously regains the Avatar State after hitting his head on a conveniently placed rock and then has a Lion Turtle grant him powers out of nowhere. While character-focused episodes are nice, at this point the series needed to have a stronger focus on setting up the conclusion and it failed to do that because a large chunk of the third season was arguably filler.
Aang didn't hit his head on a conveniently placed rock, he impaled himself on his spine with a conveniently placed rock. The spine is where Azula hit him (and killed him) with lightning when he was in the Avatar State and was promptly revived by Katara's deus ex machina water she got from the spirit well.

This leads to a deeper analysis of the behaviors that make someone villainous and, and their application in the viewer's life. Western countries are more heterogenous. There used to be a period when a person of any race could be the villain, but lately there's been a kneejerk reaction in light of racial tensions heightening. Marginalized groups are now seen as helpless and oppressed by whites. As such, whites are usually casted as the villains in more contemporary movies. I think the trend is dying down, but I'm not sure.
