In 2, Lord Humongous dies by driving his own vehicle headfirst into the one Max is driving, which also kills the secondary villain Wez. And Aunty Entity didn’t die at all in the 3rd film.
The guy suicide runs into Max, it’s not like Max made a choice to murder him by shooting him or running him down or something like that. He dies entirely by his own stupid actions

While that is an interesting point, if you're gonna talk about hundreds or even thousands of years in the past, I believe human procreation was much more similar to wild animals, with rape being rampant. A violent man raped women and forced them to give birth to violent people.

he's not, furiosa is clearly presented as being just as competent as him, and even if he was, that wouldn't prevent the movie from being feminist
so? that doesn't invalidate anything else about how competent her character is. by that same logic, you could argue that Max is the most incompetent of the two because he got caught at the beginning or because Furiosa got the final kill on Immortan Joe. those are just singular points, you have to look at the greater picture.
Not him but I'm gonna go ahead and interject here and say that Max and Furiosa are effectively the same character. The highs and lows or their arc occur at different times, but then converge at the end. Max is at his lowest in the opening, haunted by failure and reduced to the singular instinct of survival. He later overcomes this due to Furiosa's high throughout his time with her, and returns to help her, who learning of the now destitute green place is running from her past due to her own failures, whereupon he brings her back and they both succeed in killing Immortan Joe and commandeering the Citadel. Why anybody would think one is better than the other is beyond me. They are integral to each other's arc. One doesn't function without the other, and this is portrayed in the final fight when Max defends the injured and emotionally distraught Furiosa and creates the opening for the latter to kill Immortan Joe, whom she specifically has a long and emotional history with. Max is emotionally tied to Furiosa, and Furiosa to Joe. Having Max kill Joe would be moronic.
It's feminist if feminism means men and women working together and being equal, not the women better kind. Look at how the Vulvalini clan was depicted. They were on the brink of death out there and only getting by from robbing passersby. They would've killed Max and Nux on sight if not for Furiosa too and they were good guys

She also pushed heavily for british and american troops to intervene in Iraq at the beginning of the Gulf War. While Bush Sr was hesitating somewhat, Thatcher was hyper aggressive, she even suggested threatening Iraq with chemical weapons.

Eh, it falls apart after the storm. Bullet Farmer was fun, but overall it just runs out of gas after that first half hour, pun very much intended. You can pretty much shut the movie off after Max gets on the rig, unless you're somehow invested in the plot.
It's probably still my favorite movie of the 2010s, or at least my favorite action movie of that decade (though Dredd is pretty close).
I think some people get bent out of shape about how Max and Furiosa are basically co-leads, which is a valid criticism, especially since Tom Hardy's Max is pretty good. Plus the whole feminism thing but as that one anon said, it comes off very restrained compared to what would come later. I agree it kind of peaks early but I never get really bored any time I watch it - the movie is generally so over the top and fast paced that I never get the time to get bored. I liked Nux too.

I have never understood the "feminist" criticisms of Mad Max Fury Road. Max is more competent than all the other characters. Is it just the "Who Killed the World" bit? Because it's completely fair for women as a species to be upset about the world being destroyed by weapons they have no capability of understanding and had no hand in making.

Behind almost every genocidal dictator or warmongering tyrant you'll find a wife egging him on, or one in his past who spent their entire time together berating him for not being enough of a proactive man of action.
Feminism is a juvenile ideology that attempts - as you do here - to absolve women of all responsibility for their circumstances whether IRL or in any fictional setting, when in reality and in fiction women who end up in situations like this are only getting what they fricking deserve.

Not him but I'm gonna go ahead and interject here and say that Max and Furiosa are effectively the same character. The highs and lows or their arc occur at different times, but then converge at the end. Max is at his lowest in the opening, haunted by failure and reduced to the singular instinct of survival. He later overcomes this due to Furiosa's high throughout his time with her, and returns to help her, who learning of the now destitute green place is running from her past due to her own failures, whereupon he brings her back and they both succeed in killing Immortan Joe and commandeering the Citadel. Why anybody would think one is better than the other is beyond me. They are integral to each other's arc. One doesn't function without the other, and this is portrayed in the final fight when Max defends the injured and emotionally distraught Furiosa and creates the opening for the latter to kill Immortan Joe, whom she specifically has a long and emotional history with. Max is emotionally tied to Furiosa, and Furiosa to Joe. Having Max kill Joe would be moronic.

Eh, it falls apart after the storm. Bullet Farmer was fun, but overall it just runs out of gas after that first half hour, pun very much intended. You can pretty much shut the movie off after Max gets on the rig, unless you're somehow invested in the plot.
It's probably still my favorite movie of the 2010s, or at least my favorite action movie of that decade (though Dredd is pretty close).
I think some people get bent out of shape about how Max and Furiosa are basically co-leads, which is a valid criticism, especially since Tom Hardy's Max is pretty good. Plus the whole feminism thing but as that one anon said, it comes off very restrained compared to what would come later. I agree it kind of peaks early but I never get really bored any time I watch it - the movie is generally so over the top and fast paced that I never get the time to get bored. I liked Nux too.

Fury Road is praised for being a feminist masterpiece when it's about a bunch of stupid b***hes driving in one direction then straight back with the only accomplishment being killing the villain and only because he was stupid enough to go chasing them when if he had stayed put they would have had to come crawling back and begging for forgiveness while Furiosa would have been killed.
Also, the movie peaks during the storm which was genuinely eye opening as olis showed how damaged the world was, alien and hostile to its inhabitants.
