Hell yeah, brother. Just a group of bros that like to kick back and riff on bad movies. I know both of them are knobs, but I remember when liberal pundit Alan Combs passed away, Sean Hannity teared up on air memorializing Alan and their deep friendship. When I was a college student I had a friend group that was a mix of liberal and conservative, and whenever we got together we'd have a blast and laugh our asses off joking with each other... of course that was quite a few years before Orange Man came around and everyone started to act like they lost their fricking minds
Mike is a patrician and his style of mean spirited humor is perfect for the show. Movie selection was better during the Mike era too. Joel is a bitter old homosexual responsible for zombie MST.
Everyone involved with old MST has made a contribution to the Netflix series except Mike. Mike has never really acknowledged it other than saying he was never contacted about it at all.
On the bad book podcast he hosts his co host called them his “colleagues” and all Mike did was laugh. They probably don’t have a relationship at all which is too bad. The podcast was created to make fun of Ernest Cline who has written for the new show so that probably doesn’t help much.

Final Sacrifice is much more funny. The 'Pumaman' is all jokes about how bad the effects are.
Pumaman is responsible for me being completely unable to take Donald Pleasence seriously in any other movie
