there was a few deleted scenes, one most notably at the end where Joe Pesci arrests his twin brother Harry and berates him for being a liar as he promised their ma' he would stop being a criminal
That's his twin. Originally they were going to have a plotline about Cop!Pesci finding out about Burglar!Pesci still robbing houses even though he promised he was going to do it again, leading to Cop!Pesci trying to Burglar!Pesci.
Inevitably Kevin would confuse them which is the original reason why he didn't go to the police, and Cop!Pesci would end up also falling into some of the traps. The plotline was cut because it was thought that having a good person get Home Alone'd wouldn't have played well with audiences.
