Porky sneed
Simpsons movie was a truly fun theater experience, everyone was having a good time
Watched this in a packed theater, crowd was silent
was it a deaf theater
It was in Georgia
Crazy how just 15 years ago paying for ringtones was seen as normal
This is not a You Nostalgia You Lose thread, though.
Crazy how less than 10 yrs ago only a few restaurants delivered, now all of them do.
>delivers cold food
What's the point again?
Since many of us are lazy fricks, it's better than nothing
Isn't it still? How are you supposed to get them on iphones?
millennials stopped watching this shit about 7 or 8 years prior to this
Yes, but they still watched the movie. I hadn't seen the Simpsons in 5 yrs before the film came out and I still watched it. I think a lot people did because the VO of Hank Scorpio was cast, tbh.
That's not Bart's penis.
I swear this movie was made for kids, I found it hilarious when I was 9. These days it's shockingly unfunny, its entire vibe is off, doesn't even feel like the show.
And it was fricking hilarious by the time. Spider-Man 3 had just come out a couple of months back in that same year shattering box office records. Forget about whatever the frick you read on IMDb or RT. Believe me when I tell you, S3 was a fricking event.
It really was. The characters in the knocked up movie even go see it. Still remember Ebert being blown away by that lmao
>S3
The two movies that had an ungodly insane fever pitch to me was Spider-Man 2 and Star Wars Episode I. I saw both of those in theaters and people were absolutely going insane for it. Not even when I watched the Avengers or the Dark Knight did people go ballistic like they did for Spider-Man 2 especially.
Remember that hot blonde girl in that spider-pig commercial?
Nope. I don't know a single person who actually though it was funny. It was just a meme they tried to force about the movie.
>gen x shat their pants from laughter back in 1999 from this scene
rightfully so
that's kinda correct, although awareness of it wasn't as widespread
i hated tv and movies even then. I was obsessed with music in high school.
I unironically appreciated music more after I left High School. HS is too much of an echo chamber and bias confirmation bubble for music. Every kid I knew loved Rock music but the moment they left HS, they started liking gay ass Rap songs. Glad I got away from that before they ruined my appreciation of music now over the last 10 yrs.
funny, i liked dadrock and metal in hs, and developed a taste for most genres except Black personrap afterwards.
>Dadrock and metal
I liked it before, I liked it then, and I like it now. The big bands when I was in HS were My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy and Paramore. I didn't like them. There was people with fricking Nirvana shirts and Metallica shirts and now they can't even tolerate vocalists screaming anymore. Hell, even Chester from Likin Park screamed and people said that was corny that he did, lol. Music and tastes are so sterile.
