I am class of 2015 so kids in my class were 96-97 which is the cut off for millenials and zoomers.
You can see a sharp contrast between the kids in grades above us and grades below us.
Kids below us were cool if they played minecraft. No one was really into sports, they were into esports.
Kids older than us had some of those but the cool kids were atheletes. I would say most athletes weren't bullies but they did see themselves as superior to others. They hung out with the loser kids but to them it was like an act of charity.

I don't want to be that guy, but, if you're getting bullied by a troony then you probably deserve it. At my school, there was like one gay guy, and he got bullied by everyone. The school was way too bad for something like a troony to exist.

That's a nice theory however I was born in 2004 and troonys were untouchable at my high school and they took full advantage of that to be complete bastards. Australia here.

Also, how the frick can someone be untouchable? You don't have to beat someone up to bully them. I remember we had lockers with locks on them, and I trolled a guy by supergluing his lock so he couldn't open his locker. You should have done stuff like that to the trannies.

Bro I went to a state catholic school in London. It was plenty "diverse". But bullying didn't really happen, at least not as far as I could tell. Making fun of each other and even getting in fights was just considered "bit of banter". If you dished it out, you were expected to take it too.

Looking back on it I should've done whatever possible to get them to frick off, even if they thought I was a psycho. The only way to win is to make them stop fricking with you.

Graduated in 2004 and there was basically zero bullying or fighting in my graduating class. Given that I was involved in sports I would be classified as a "jock" but I never once considered myself one. Most of my graduating class had come up from kindergarten so basically everything had been squashed years prior. In middle school during 98-99 holy shit I don't think I've ever been in a more hostile environment in my life, puberty was something to behold for sure. One time my pencil rolled off my desk and hit the floor, the kid next to me that I never once had problems with snapped and started shouting "Does your fat frick mom allow you to be so loud homosexual?!?" well you have to deck the guy in the snoz for something like that, you just have to. I think there must have been about 1-2 fist fights a day between the boys during those two years, pure tension waiting for someone to just fricking snap and it to be your turn to frick someone up.

There was also this new thing called gleeking that was going on where people would spray jets of water from their mouth so you DEFINITELY needed to beat the shit out of someone that spit on you.

movie jocks weren't really a thing, all the football players were pretty chilled out (and the other varsity teams were about the same)
but there was definitely the "popular" clique, and they weren't like movie popular but it was the kids who
    >were wealthier than average
    >had very connected parents who had a lot of influence around the high school and were all friends with each other
    >were generally involved in the student government shit, event planning and what not
    >controlled the gossip pipelines of the school

and in that little inner circle clique you had jocks, cheerleaders, people who were on their way to IV league schools, etc
It was kind of like the inside track of high school

And these people weren't like traditional "dump milk on your head, shove you in a locker" bullies but they for sure definitely didn't know most of the artsy kids existed and definitely were being hyper selective about who got invited to what - that sort of thing. You didn't want to get caught just "being yourself" around one of them because it could tank your social currency.

Not really. I graduated in 04 and there was only one certified, true blue, always on bully. He was a meathead sports bro, but even the other jocks thought he was an butthole and didn't associate with him. There were quite a few holier-than-thou "deep misunderstood" metal kids who were actually more antagonistic to just about everyone though. Like, they were all the typical bullied goth/punk/alternative kid from the movies in their own heads when people just didn't want to talk to them because they called anyone who showed an interest in the same things as them posers.

I went to high school in the mid 2000s and I had a group of real friends that I still have today. I never talked to any of the popular kids even though 2 of my friends were extremely sociable high performers and one was popular. They weren't jocks though.
Basically I was too anti social toward people who weren't my friends to even get bullied, either that or they thought I was too weird when they didn't know me. The closest I ever got to bullying was some piece of shit dumbass homosexual drawing penises on my desk in study because he was fricking gay as hell and I hated him.

I'm Australian and no, at my school while the jock group was the popular one they were good guys. I even became part of the group and while I like sports I'm not a jock and I was fat at the time.
They made fun of people, sure, but literally every social group did at some capacity and generally the people being made fun of were part of the group and it was always good natured or just banter, never malicious.
At my school the bullies were the group of black kids/wannabe black kids and while I was never the target of them I did see them being really nasty or domineering to lots of people that were always smaller/weaker than them or unable to defend themselves and it was always malicious.

That's how they are. The darker races get physical, because it's how they decide who's in charge. Everyone else is just like
      >this guy is tall, or this guy is good looking, so he's the cool guy

Yes, well, I was a big guy, and also a loser. I think it was my choice, though. I chose to hang around other losers, because I didn't like the normalgays.

The last day of school we gave literally every freshman on the football team’s offense a swirly. The qb got a chunky dunky.

How did you deal with your bully Cinemaphile? I was bullied by an older kid when I was 10 then one day I grabbed one of the golf clubs from my dad's golf set and smashed it over his head a few times. He ended up in hospital and never bothered me again once he got out.

I didn't have a bully, because I was bigger than the other kids. If I got bullied at all, it was verbal, and basically just banter. I never had to fight anyone.

I got bullied in my first year and a half by one mid tier popularity guy in the year above me. I have no idea why but it didn't help that I was a giant pussy and just let him mock and intimidate me. In my second year I got a growth spurt and grew into a big guy and became friends with the popular group which gave me a lot more confidence. One time when I was walking past him, his new girlfriend and a few other people he shouted something at me. Hadn't said anything to me in a long time and I thought it was over. I dropped my books, went up, leaned over him up close and after some back and forth, with him visibly shaking, I told him I wanted to fight and told him to show up at a spot after school. He never showed and after that I never spoke with or heard anything from him again.
Later heard from a friend of mine that knew him from their homeroom that he said he didn't know what my problem was or why I overreacted like that. What a homosexual.

not really a millenial but jocks werent really that bad
here in eastern europe most(98% id say) kids were normal, but there always was this one guy who had 0 impulse control - fricked up grades, insulting teachers, drugs/smoking/drinking and such
NOW THESE were the guys where if youd look at them wrong he would attempt to give you a concussion or something, consequences, getting expelled, police called, its like nothing registers
Thinking back, my theory is that these guys were actual psychopaths/sociopaths
Should have to do a test like in the blade runner where if they find you have no empathy you get sent to Africa or something - go free lil man, go fight some black tribesmen lol, maybe take over a village

all kids are basically nerds now because of smartphones
I think outright bullying nerds is no longer a thing since there is always a nonzero chance that you get shot for it

      >the jocks at the richer school thought they really had hit a triple in life despite it being their parents wealth

That just proves that there isn't always a correlation between intelligence and wealth. The wealth can be inherited, so the kids wouldn't need to be smart. The silver lining is everyone is equal on Cinemaphile. Being rich doesn't mean shit here, and they could be an anon nobody likes.

bullying was pretty prevalent but you had to be really fricking nerdy to get picked on usually.
I wouldn't say it was jocks so much, just kids who were dickheads usually although some of it was funny as frick. My one buddy ended up on a hit list they found on this one kid lmao.

You mean like the people who used to be on this website? Nobody would know, because you all scared them away, but I was here back then, and they were the kinds of people who would get bullied. The site was a lot better.

Not in my experience. I graduated in the mid 2000s and there wasn't much bullying to speak of in general at any point of my time in public education. What existed that could be shoehorned into what most people call bullying had nothing to do with the jocks. The jocks were as a group the nicest and least malicious clique in the school. The only thing that approached bullying that they got into is when light hearted ribbing got taken the wrong way. You were far more likely to see bullying coming from the poor trailer trash or intergroup anti-social sperging from the geeks. In any case nobody was getting stuffed in lockers or getting their lunch money stolen. Then again even though I went to a lower middle class highschool it just so happened to be overwhelmingly white with only a smattering of asians, and hispanics. There were less than 10 blacks total and 3 of them were east african immigrants who hated american blacks more than any white I've ever met. I suppose the demographic situation might have had something to do with my experiences.

No. I knew one football player at school. Super nice guy and kinda obsessed with final fantasy 7 (this was around 2001). He knew my gf and I and friends would routinely have DnD campaigns and wanted to join because he really wanted to have an authentic roleplaying experience.

The entire jock/nerd/Stoner/goth shit is all Hollywood BS. People just wanted to have fun and be left alone. That's the high school experience.

The bullies were mostly black and Mexican gang members. Sure we had guys that played sports, but they didn’t rule the school or anything. Most people didn’t care for them. Only one cheerleader dated a wrestler.

not really. some of the smartest kids in school were jocks, and like half the programming class played football too. i guess there was some bullying, but it was mostly trash kids who couldn't hack it in sports that tried to bully a lot, more often than the sports players, who were expected to lead by example.

Jocks bullies? Far from it, it has been the total opposite to me, the jocks in my life taught me sportsmanship, teamwork, and the value of commitment and sacrifice, far from being bullies they were inspirations.

Where the fuq did the bully jock meme come from? Why the frick would we label a people who's mission in life is dedicated to teamwork, camraderie, dedication, and self sacrifice, a bunch of ruinous bullies?

I would be more wary of a person who hates sports rather than someone who loves it.

Its' the difference between a fit and gregorious team work minded athlete vs a fat ass israelite-Mobster who got spoiled and fat from all the money he stole.

the jocks were fine for the most part. they got all the pretty girls and would only shit on you if you tried to talk to one of the popular girls. it was the wiggers and the poors that "bullied" people.
