It's a musical. Why?
Don't you like singing, anon?
The entire movie showing sounded like a solid hour of reaction video.
Little girls like Frozen. Next question.
let it go bro. frozen was 10 years ago.
And Frozen 2 was few years ago and it's a second best selling animated movie ever. Your point?
i made my point. let it go. learn to read. stupid american.
You sound less like you're making a point and more like you're making Let It Go joke which by your own admission, is super old. But sure, maybe making it twice will make it fresh.Maybe that's how things work.
>still won't let it go
yikes
Ignore him.
You do realize this movie was in works for years now? Frozen was like 5 years old at the time.
let it go
Because this is a Disney Princess movie for little girls and homosexuals.
I take it you didn't like the Christmas special either?
>Will They/Won't They romance that ends with both protagonists dating other people
I hate this. I'd rather read straight up NTR because at least I know what I'm signing up for

Are you suggesting this thread is a general?
It is in all but the name. Just like the others in Cinemaphile like Win-O, Emmy, Wazzo (?) Wednesday, Tushy Tuesday, edit threads, /coc/, /hwy/, Gunnerkrigg, /bcb/, /oop/ (perhaps the only in trouble with mods), /qc/ (always terrible), /outsider/ (more rare these days) etc.
We are in good company.
>the ONLY reason they were aged up was so they could be legal to drive for these dumb commercials
actually fricking hilarious
zag had to raise a gorillion dollars for his movie's budget somehow
But why is VW bothering with pushing vehicles that aren't sold in North America? They're doing this same thing with the Canadian commercials that feature the ID.4, a model not available in the NA market.
this was shown in France and presumably those models are or will be on sale there. In any case, this is as much about brand building as selling cars.
When this is shown in the US the brands could be different. What would you prefer? Beach buggies?
Yes
Neat. I cannot see much information about this but it seems to be a mockup without lights or registration plates. https://youtu.be/NB7coO-00Ag
Found some more info:
https://www.turbo.fr/actualite-automobile/la-volkswagen-coccinelle-electrique-de-ladybug-reperee-dans-paris-191035
It is an electric Beetle, still in the concept car stage according to the German manufacturer.
I am surprised they didn't apply the full Ladybug pattern with hexagonals and spots.
they did promotional material on german bottled water months ago, i’m telling you, zag was doing anything and everything to get the bag for his movie
>aged up was so they could be legal to drive
Weird. After all they did drive a sports car in one of the episodes, and there was also a scooter. LB leaped out with a parachute once, which is hardly normal for a 14 year old girl.
I wonder what brand they will advertise in Italy...
>I wonder what brand they will advertise in Italy...
How about an electric scooter?
How could I have missed
?
Also I started a thread over the weekend, and it only got three responses before it got archived.
just in case anybody's interested.
>Ladybug
>Bug
Makes sense.
>Parents
>Buzz
Kinda logical
>Butterflyman
>Fancy EV
Makes sense
But what's Chat driving and why?
Chloe and sabrina model look good.
Honestly it's not bad. It's kind of like the Comic book movie adaptation of the show, and it really benefits from not having to be a formulatic show that runs forever. Some points are...
-Marinette is actually able to develop since she doesn't need to keep her usually schnanigans for next episode. She learns to stop being a spaz and actually talk to Adrien throughout the course of the film.
-Gabriel is an active antagonist and has stuff like butterfly waves and telekniesis. He doesn't just sit in his lair and rage. He's also played more sympatheticly here. When he finds out CN is Adrien he gives up and surrenders to the authorities.
-The casual destruction and Ladybug just magic fixing everything isn't abused in the way the once an episode thing is. Damage piles up as the film goes on and Ladybug repairs the city like usual at the end but it's portrayed as an incredible display of power and something she needs to struggle to do.
- They actually reveal and it sticks (Adrien is unmasked during the fight, and Marinette tells him she's Ladybug afterwards), albeit not until the very end of the film so we don't really know how that will pan out. Think the end of Spiderman 2 with Peter revealing to MJ.
-Just in general every character benefits from not having to be episodic. Even Chloe sort of gains respect for Marinette, although she still tells her off in the end with Sabrina just giving a "Guess she won't totally change" shrug to her.
The musicals are weird, but in the end it's honestly a way more dramatic and better told version than the tv show and the Hawkmoth/Gabriel end is way better than the leaks of this seasons finale.
There is a sequel tease stinger suggesting Natalie as Mayura will be the next films villain.
Lila, Felix and most of the latter added characters weren't in it, or if they were I didn't recognize them. I caught Luka in a crowd scene but that was about it. I don't think Kagami was in it at all.
>The Hawkmoth/Gabriel end is way better than the leaks of this seasons finale.
How does he end up in the TV?
Adrien is not involved at all and Gabriel never even finds out he was CN, and he just gets beaten up by LB alone and sacrifices himself so Emilie can live again with Adrien seemingly never knowing he was Hawkmoth.
In the film, Adrien's mask is knocked off and Gabriel sees it's him, untransforms in grief, and explains to Adrien he just wanted his mother back before giving up and letting himself get arrested. LB is not a factor at all in his defeat, she gets beaten up and her Miraculous taken.
The movie already sounds way more refreshing than the TV show.
You actually did a great summary! I'll give a chance, I'm intrigued, now.
>Adrien and Gabe have an actual confrontation and resolution
So... Zag - 1 Astruc - 0?
At the very least it confirms most of the story problems are all on Astruc's end. Maybe it can be blamed on the show having to last forever while the movie was concise with a clear ending, but even still.
I think it also helps that Zag is an Adriengay so his treatment in the movie is better than the shit that he's getting in the finale
someone did a "summary" here
>Adrien and Gabe have an actual confrontation and resolution
This alone makes it worth it.
>Lila, Felix and most of the latter added characters weren't in it, or if they were I didn't recognize them.
Good. They got rid of the worst part of the show.
Sounds about ten times better than the garbage the show was/became.
So it sounds like my faith in Zag doing good was right. Astrid really is the problem with the show..
>Mayura as sequel villain
The show did her dirty, so I'm for this.
I'll wait for the mega since I don't want malware...again.
The site and video player is fine if you have an adblocker.
>I'll wait for the mega
How do I rip the video of that website?
The download option isn't working.
>In traditional Miraculous fashion, the movie leaked
Not a fan of this show and never seen it, but even I know that every season SOMETHING gets fricking leaked (episode names and plots). Didn't the official character models get leaked last year?
Zag has shit security and a bunch of disgruntled employees.
Not just the character models, the series bible, concept art and quite a few scripts were leaked.
And if IIRC it was because someone's password was something like miraculous123
It is SO refreshing to see 3D characters that are actually goodlooking, as opposed to the weird beanface shapeless Pixar phenomenon.
What ever it was, it's not looking like it's loading anymore. Anyone save it?
It's still available here.
https://www.miraculoushub.ac/2023/06/watch-miraculous-ladybug-and-catnoir-the-movie.html
But this is the cam version not HD
Oh wow. It's really there. French without subs is going to be a little hard to understand but it's still something. Pretty neat to see they are focusing on only five Miraculous for now.
See
since I originally left that response for you
Cool. I don't know if these were ever made public, but I got my hands on the scripts for every single season of the show awhile back and I'm sharing them in this thread for the sake of them being available
https://mega.nz/folder/QjpkgRrb#ch-EYxWA4advcpnEaYjrvw
Should have leaked them before the fandom dropped off drastically
the frick???
i’ll still watch it in theaters idgaf
The video seems to be down, did anyone download it? It was working when I checked earlier but I was out of the house and couldn't watch further
It shouldn't have even been up anyway. Just wait until the release
Oh fine. It would've been nice to watch early for the novelty, but it's not a big deal
Nope. Doesn't seem like anyone saved it. Darn.
you can clearly tell they cut A LOT out of the movie. the editing was super wonky
Is this the most leaked franchise ever?
more like #2, still doesn't top the pony show not only having flash assets and emails leaked but the original files for entire scenes of multiple episodes
At least for once they seem to have caught and blocked this movie leak
Pokemon has consistently had leaks since the early 00s
So, I don't speak baguette so I don't think I'm going to be watching the cam rip just yet, but how is the movie? How did it handle Gabriel? Chloe?
>How did it handle Gabriel?
Amazingly. Like 200 percent better than the show has. He and Adrien actively get proper closure.
Although It also seems to hint that his own Miraculous mixed with his own worst personality traits and grief over his wife have corrupted him slightly as when he finds out CN is Adrien he abruptly rejects the transformation similar to how Akuma's would defy him in the show. So depends how you feel about that.
>Chloe?
Eh she's mostly similar to season 1 Chloe and while she does somewhat lighten up to Marniette at the very very end, it's only a little. It's not redeemed good Chloe that Chloegays wanted, but they don't make her a caricature of herself like post season 3 does either.
>Eh she's mostly similar to season 1 Chloe and while she does somewhat lighten up to Marniette at the very very end, it's only a little.
That's what I expected
>they don't make her a caricature of herself like post season 3 does
The real test is if Zag does decide to put Zoe in the next movie(s?) and how he'll handle their dynamic
Since this is an AU, I really hope Zoe isn't part of it. It's much better have a token semi-evil teammate in Chloe/Queen Bee than Zoe's boring (if nice) ass.
Zoe exists to have a blond girl with Bee powers because the creator didn't want to use the girl with bee powers he already had.
Well that's good news. I'm trying not to read too much since I'd still like to go into the movie unspoiled when it's either subbed or in a language I can understand but thanks for the summary there anon. Gabriel is pretty much why I watch this series and if he was handled well in the movie then I'm happy. Did Gabriel get a song? Something that could rival https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnIxOtN2l3g maybe?
NOOROO
GIVE ME A BEAT
WITH A CANE IN MY HAND
Cliche Redemption of Father's realisation is "better"? How old are you kiddo XD
He was supposed to be devil reincarnated. Zag ruined his character and erased any depth. Where is his power hunger, cruelity, revenge, obsession, madness? Jeremy is such a coward. Sequel needs a better writer
>Where is his power hunger, cruelity, revenge, obsession, madness?
We had all of that in the show. You want more of the same, evilanon?
I'm actually glad, Gabriel is a character that people love, good or evil. It's good he had a decent closure with Adrien and Emilie in the movie.
The movie did a good work, surpringly enough. If anything, it'll be the reverse of the show and Nathalie will be the crazy one.
That's literaly the point of Gabriel's character. What the frick did Zag even think he was doing.
What's next. Marinette acting like Chloe and Adrien acting like Juleka? I came to watch Miraculous, not Jeremy's wet dreams. His wife and kids probably don't love him that's why
There are rumors he is beating his wife. People stalked their private Facebook accounts, his wife is Melissa Zagudeoun
homie what?
ok asstruck
Omelette Du Fromage?
It's not loading.
Any toilet scenes?
Can you transfer to mega or someplace like that?
I can't seem to download it.
It's gone bro. They got to it before we could
Dang it
Sorry anon. It looks like it got taken down before anyone could get it. Not even screenshot it. Knowing that site though I imagine they'll upload it again soon so maybe keep an eye out?
i respect my ladybug. i will not watch a leaked copy. i will wait for release and a hd torrent.
That doesn't seem very French of Marinette. Smearing ketchup over everything is American.
precisely
Oh, can't pretend to care anymore.
The film was in French anyway.
If I can download it, fine.
If not, I can be patient and wait for the English dub, if I have to.
Anyway, I'm glad to see yet another Ladybug thread going.
Maybe this one will last a bit longer.
Daily reminder: YES, PEOPLE STILL WATCH THIS SHOW!
Around 3 of us from what I can tell. Plus lots of little girls and according to Google trends the entire population of Iran
I thought all of Brazil also watched it what with all the Gloob leaks and stuff.
I don't believe it's the same three people that keep coming back to threads like these over and over again.
I mean, yes we keep coming back, but I'm sure it's more than three.
According to 4ch:
>63 / 7 / 29 / 1
So we have at least 29 posters.
I'm like 8 or 9 of those sorry. I lose phone reception a lot where I am and every time it disconnects I get a new IP lol
The movie already aired as a pre-premiere in France. Where can I find the spoilers?
Someone posted some info above, but dunno what spoilers you want, as it was basically explained to be an anime OVA style retelling and crunched together version of the plot with it having nothing to do with the greater show what so ever.
Basically, I'm interested into the ending. How the final battle happens and what comes after it.
It's just a retelling of the basic early show and then a new finale scene. Gabriel wants wife back, becomes Hawkmoth Marinette and Adrien get their Miraculous to stop him. They have a fight against the first Akuma, there's a timeskip where LB and CN become big heroes and thwart Gabriel's Akuma's and become famous while Marinette and Adrien grow close (they don't get constant resets because it's not episodic).
Gabriel eventually decides to take the fight himself and he has destructive butterfly powers and telekenisis and gets into a big flashy MCU style fight with the duo with the city getting wrecked, LB gets beaten and HM takes her Miraculous (she detransforms but Gabriel has never met Marinette in the film so she's just a random girl to him, Adrien doesn't see her because he's been knocked out and by the time he's back up she's been tossed away), HM beats up CN but his mask gets torn up and he sees it's Adrien (and so does Marinette) and he's horrified and detransforms. He apologizes and explains what he was doing, then gives up and allows himself to be arrested.
Marinette and Adrien now officially together go to a big party and Marinette meets him alone on the rooftop and tells him she's Ladybug and they embrace. And there's a scene of Natalie finding Emile in the basement, unlike the show she's not in a cryotube thing but is just lying in a garden room in a bed of flowers. The end.
Also forgot to mention, after Gabriel gives up as Marinette is lamenting how wrecked Paris is, Fu appears and tells her the Ladybug is far more powerful than she realizes so she climbs onto the wrecked Eiffel Tower and focuses her magic and with alot more effort and drama than the usual toss the Lucky Charm and instant fix everything, Paris is magically repaired.
I have to say, sounds better than S5's finale. They should adapt this into the series.
how much high quality animation titty bounce and squish
The video is too big to watch or download.
I think I will have to wait for someone to make it smaller.
file:///C:/Users/19014/Downloads/Miraculous_Ladybug_Miraculous_Awakening_The_Movie_Season_0_Episode.mp4
don't know if this will work
Thanks Anon! You da best!
Please tell me this is a troll
i don’t know. i think it’s cute that they tried though.
if you're actually serious just upload it to mega.nz or google drive
i uploaded it to youtube
Is there a translation? I don't think speak netherlands
the one who leaked the movie had it in but they to used the french audio
Oh right I forgot it had the in-cinema audio.
I'll definitely wait
I like how french everyone acts. The mannerisms really shine
And..its gone.
Ah Cinemaphile, you never let me down
So did Marinette ever get akumized?
She was ALMOST akumatized a lot of times, actually, but, she was never turned into a villain.
I don’t think is needed, we're a month or less from the actual release.
It's a musical, Gabe sure did put a show.
i forgot the movie was even coming out
Already deleted.Aybody know how to encode B-64?
i have a backup
https://drive.google.com/file/d/10cDFw2d8qvPNxdBhPcTVqj-n9pjzurNV/view
Oh hey, thanks anon. Greatly appreciated. Was this an early screening or something they did somewhere?
it was leaked by miraculous.to, a leaker that leaked the scripts and the models
that site had nothing to do with leaks it just hosts episodes
So they haven't found the leaker yet? That is surprising.
Also, the leak had a very steady image so this was not from someone using their mobile phone.
Cam version was leaked first, which is where the audio comes from
Then someone paired that audio with a digital copy of the movie
Whether they've been caught we don't know lol
>digital copy of the movie
What was the resolution? I am hoping they would release 4K resolution more than one single time.
Could a Miraculous film in Spider-Verse's animation style work?
spiderverse style is actually shit
it works in the spiderverse cause its somewhat unique but the miraculous movie animation, which has a more traditional approach, looks way better
No, the magical girl influences wouldn't blend with the snappy and poppy comic book style of spider-verse.
>the magical girl influences wouldn't blend with the snappy and poppy comic book style of spider-verse
Have you ever watch a Trigger anime?
Trigger snappy is very different from spider-verse snappy
Looks like we're going to find out
https://twitter.com/ladyblognewss/status/1668602283385339906?t=sxJWeitkuIzICSUO9CUYOA&s=19
>BREAKING: A new ‘MIRACULOUS LADYBUG’ Special has been announced by Disney Channel
>“MIRACULOUS WORLD: INTO THE RE-VERSE.”
It's an old title for Shadybug and Claw Noir probably
By the look of it, it seems they will travel to an alternative reality somehow. It's what I suspected when I heard the names "Shadybug" and "Claw Noir".
"Re-verse" makes me think it will be a classic reality where the bad guys and the good guys switch roles.
> Evilnette and Baddrien
> Gabriel is a super hero/mentor figure
> Lila is an actual humanitarian
> Chloe is legitimately elected the youngest mayor of the city because she's almost a saint
The only catch is that Alya is still good and apparently got Nooroo.
It could work. But they don't have the budget to do it right. It would look as bad as TMNT or match with The Last Wish.
Sooo. Which one is old and which one is new. Leakers have different version of the Movie
Ohhhh that's interesting. Both are good too
i’m assuming the one with significantly better animation is new, anon
in case you’re moronic that’s the top one
Not always how it goes
Sometimes testing says a change should be made and the revised version is a lot less polished than what it replaced
when did that ever happen
It happened with Return of the Joker when the scene of the Joker getting shot dead was replaced with him getting electrocuted which had noticeably inferior animation to the rest of the film.
The Transformers The Movie film also originally had Ultra Magnus killed by being cut to pieces which was replaced by him just standing still and getting shot repeatedly.
The Gabe Adrien kino we're never getting in show...
Wow, the top one is much more impactful. I hope the top one is the final.
Jeremy changing the story every week? In one version Gabriel gets Butterfly Miraculous, in other he gots a compass
In the preview of the novelization of the movie, it mentioned Gabe gets the Butterfly from a museum dude. Also the compass has the Butterfly in it
We see Gabriel find the brooch underground so he can't receive it again from the museum curator.
Can someone list all notable differences?
>LB doesn’t use lucky charm ONCE the entire movie
>CN uses it at the very end for the first time
wtf is happening
Astruc is the Marinettegay, Zag is the Adriengay
If the movie, which is more compact and actually has a definite ending for the Hawkmoth storyline, already exists then won't that make the TV show obselete?
Frenchie reviewers magazines are shitting on the movie from top to bottom already. While they were always kind for the series. Main argument: It's too American, Hollywood, Disney crap style. "A total torture and misunderstanding of the original material"
Bruh Ladybug is a Spiderman parody with a dash of Magical Girl, of course it was gonna ooze some American style
You could tell that would happen from the initial tweets. All the guys who took themselves seriously were dumping on it. Probably they were the critics. Bimbo girls liked it though
So while it officially comes out (on Netflix) on July 28th in English, what seems to be Cinemaphile's stance so far? We "critics" or we bimbos?
I don't think those are the only categories.Just the only ones tweeting after the premiere
If the critics all shit on it and with the sunk value fallacy going on here, I expect anons in the Miraculous threads will pretend to love it even if it's shit
Since 9/10 of the people left are coomers too, they'll probably get what they need out of it whether or not the story sucks
>I expect anons in the Miraculous threads will pretend to love it even if it's shit
So you're saying that either way it's shit. Are you the one who seethes at the ending of s5?
That's not what EVEN IF means ya dingus
And no, I haven't spoiled the ending of s5 for myself. All I know is what happens to Gabe
>A total torture and misunderstanding of the original material
Astruc himself "tortures and misunderstands" his own material. What the frick is this argument?
No no, they have a point
He is creating an original material. Jeremy is just reusing it in worse way. Chloe isn't evil enough, Gabriel isn't evil enough, villains aren't any threat, Marinette is not enough Yandere. Jeremy Zag is scared of evil things
>villains aren't any threat
That’s how I know you’re trolling.
>villains aren't any threat
>implying they are a threat in the show
>Marinette is not enough Yandere
You meant tsundere
I know it's not Cinemaphile, but ffs anon, do you know what tsundere means? By yandere the other anon probably meant the stalking obsession, and even that's a stretch
Critics always sound like deeply unhappy people. They thrash everything they see, yet years later they will concede that the movie might not have been utter garbage.
>French cartoon gets an origin story prequel movie after Season 5
Where have i seen that before
So season 6 will be a shitshow?
>Marinette saves Cat Noir
>gets knocked out
>Gabe realizes Cat Noir is his son
>big fight abruptly ends
????? wtf is this shit

Kek we got a clip
That's an ad, it's not from the actual movie
Still the timing is hilarious
I think I have seen that product placement elsewhere too.
I'm watching it now (I understand french)
The animation looks nice but...it's for children
Like, literally for very young children. You won't get any enjoyment out of the story if you are above 8 years old
it’s all fun and games until you watch the polish dub and hear chat say lb has polka dot panties
Was that actually a line? That reminds me, every dub probably has slightly different takes on jokes and some language specific ones as well. But I don't think many are often brought up.
yeah instead of calling her a watermelon he says polka dot panties
I'm working on the subtitles right now
Here's a clip
https://funnyjunk.com/Disgusting+adflino+universal/ewdbRrj/
Tell me if you guys even want me to continue
wat
Thank you anon. I like it, please continue.
(video clip is a bit confusing because it doesn't show the subs right away, it's not clear for someone attempting to see them straight away)
Overall everyone in the movie feels more emotionally stable. Marinette is clumsy but not panicking and hyperactive, she and Adrien arent obsessed with each other, Gabriel feels more restrained and he cant be even called abusive, even Chloe is a bit dialled back.
I'm not crazy about songs, they're nice but feel like your typical sappy Oscar bait songs. I like best Hawk Moth and Tikki's songs. Marinette accepting her role song before fight with Magician and Mime is fine.
Speaking of villains, these guys probably made most of the cutting floor. It feel like they're setting up big team of new villains only for most of them to get 0 time. I dont think they even named any of them. Really might as well not bother and use cartoon ones. Also funny how most people look basically identically to their akumatized forms.
>Gabe gets a song
HOLY BASED
his song sounds like shit in french, lots of auto tune. hoping it’s better in english
If they have Keith sing it like with the Hawkmoth Rap we might be in luck
He does more than that. He wears a TOP HAT while singing.
>Gabe getting a better resolution than in show
>It's with his son as it should be
>Gets a song
>Wears a top hat while at it
He really won huh?
does Adrian get to be competent for a chance and also a hero or is he just there to be comedy sidekick and damsel so that marysuebug can make jokes at his expense and rescue him?
At the end only Marinette gets her miraculous stolen, and Adrien b***h slaps Hawkmoth with Cataclym. All Marinette does is save Adrien from getting his Miraculous taken. The fight ends when Gabe starts stabbing Adrien with laser beams and cuts his mask off.
In the irst fight in They're both fresh but Cat Noir has way better handle on his powers. Ladybug saves him but that's literally the only thing she accomplishes. From there, they really sell idea that these two are equals as they do almost everything cooperating, they get to save ech other and get to have playfight on equal terms.
They also both suffer slapstick and arguably Ladybug gets worse of it (like numerous shots of hitting against bells in fight with Gargoyle)
kinda weak that Chad doesn't really get to use his his destruction power on purpose and instead it gets activated on accident
>there’s no scene of marinette finding out adrien is cat noir
>he cut out an entire song of marinette loving adrien as cat noir
damn zag really does hate marinette
And Astruc hates Adrien (despite claiming to like him) so it all balances out.
He gets to fight the majority of the final battle, as Marinette is ko'ed.
does he ever rescue her as well in return?
The final battle is right after LB rejected him so he storms to Hawk Moth by himself because he’s salty. He accidentally destroys the eiffel tower and gets knocked out and LB saved him. That’s what causes her Miraculous to be taken.
He talked to both but barely lmao. He was like OMG YOU HAVE TO BE LADYBUG! But no scene happens with Adrien.
just checked it out. he rescued her twice as well. so actual equality unlike the show. nice.
also liked how he lands on his feet but she falls on her butt when they first get their powers since cats always land on their feet.
i wonder if him almost knocking over the statue during that scene was a reference to him being the personification of destruction.
marinette doesn’t use lucky charm ONCE the whole movie meanwhile adrien uses cataclysm twice.
How often is the Eiffel tower destroyed in this series?
Quite a lot honestly. Mime sliced it apart and that was one of the first episodes.
We should blow it up just so people have hard time rewatching old episodes without cringing.
It's his revenge on Astruc for making Adrien irrelevant
What about Fu, did he do shit? Did he talk to Adrien, or just Marinette?
i might be wrong but I think Marinett has a single fist fight against a villain in this one. It's all Chad while she does the swinging.
that is something I always thought was lame about the show. She should be the creative problem solver and he should be the brawler
*doesn't have a single fist fight
I didn't see the part where Gabriel gives himself to the authorities. When did that happen?
That's not shown on screen, but the news report mentions he was identified as Hawkmoth and arrested.
Thanks.
Honestly, the ending of the movie is way better than the ending of S5. They should make the series to eventually have something that mixes the best of both worlds.
I find it funny that in both cartoon and the movie, Ladybug basically fails to stop Hawk Moth and we only get happy ending because of him making good decision.
That probably fits with the theme of the show not just being about punching everything out. Although here he's just too powerful for them to ever really beat him conventionally, while in show Ladybug beats the crap out of him and only "loses" the fight because he tricks her.
He doesn't make a good decision in the S5 finale. That backstabbing venomous snake betrays Marinette and gets his way after all.
Some leaks say that, in the next season, Lila will get the Rabbit Miraculous to go back in time and stop Gabriel from getting his wish. I honestly hope that's right.
>he still believes the fake leaks
That is the ONLY leak I believe because sounds logical. In comics, when there's an event that alters reality (like DC's Flashpoint or Marvel's House of M), there always have to be a way to turn everything back.
By the way, how many akumas appear in the movie?
Gargoyle, then Mime and Magician, then Gabriel akumatizes himself which results in Hawk Moth with wings made from moths and lightning.
Everybody else is just a cameo during montage sequence. There is evil crossant, there is big ugly buff guy, there dude in snail costume making bubbles, I really dont know, and magazine covers show Bubbler and Guitar Villain.
Ok so realitively good choice- he decides to sacrifice his own life force to bring back Emily. Not exactly noble but any happy ending Marinette gets is from Gabriel's mercy. He could have save himself and assure his son ends up with Kagami like he planned.
Still Gabriel: 2 Marinette:0
It's also funny that once Gabriel isn't obligated to keep this shit going for 5 seasons, he demolishes Ladybug and Cat Noir in relatively short time. Suck on that Felix, you beat only one and couldn't even do it without losing Miraculous.
Reality is still destroyed!!!!
And the world we awake in is clearly too good to be true, which means is FAKE!!!
Ok but writers clearly intended it for some reason as good ending. It's not written as horrible cliffhanger that needs fixing. I know it's fricked up but that's not the storypoint I'm focusing right now. Im just pointing that in both versions, writers effectively have Gabriel win.
Right, and that means the series has to make Gabriel's wish to be UNDONE!!
Lila being the one who stops him it's poetic justice because sometimes, a hero is not enough to stop a villain. Sometimes you need a monster to stop another monster.
Besides, Gabriel's statue makes me sick after all he did. It has the same vibe as "Dark Knight saga" where they covered Harvey Dent's crimes, only to be all revealed in the last movie.
Think about it that way: Mr Ramier will finally have revenge for all the times he was turned into Mr Pigeon.
That's not enough!!
Gabriel deserves a punishment from the kind Punisher or Ghost Rider would inflict!
>And the world we awake in is clearly too good to be true, which means is FAKE!!!
That is the Solarpunk future we are denied.
Who fricking cares. Miraculous is already taking place in a heavily re-wished world, another won't change much.
>Time Travel exists
>which means Bunny allowed this to happen and still survives the universe reset.
>Lila undos the wish so no time travel needed to fix the universe
The writers outsmarted the lots of you.
Not me.
The thing about Bunnix allowing this means that, like it or not, this have to happen in order to reach the "proper end". Maybe Gabriel's wish had to happen in order to motivate Lila to UNDO it and restore the original reality.
Don't know why you all think it's possible to travel to pre-wish timelines. It's not some little goofery the Bunny can just hop back and fix, that's the whole point. Unless Gimmi takes the wish back and reverts what he changed, there's no going back to any previous versions of the world.
Change history and reality is not impossible, as the episode "Cat Blanc" proved.
Besides, the memories of the adult Bunnix prove she was from the original timeline. Therefore, if the adult Bunnix is still around, that means there must be a way to restore the previous reality.
>Change history and reality is not impossible, as the episode "Cat Blanc" proved.
Yeah... unless the literal kwami of reality does it. Why else do you think Gimmi grants the absolute, reality-shaping power? Not for laughs and giggles.
Bunnyx's memories prove nothing, Marinette also remembers standing in the crypt and Gabe making the wish. Heck, she is still down in the crypt with the ring-miraculous on the ground, AFTER the wish. The past is not rewritten, only if that's specifically what one asks for.
Also, if events have to play out in a way that Lila ultimately reverses the wish, and sets that world back on track, then the entirety of s6 would be pointless, as Bunnyx could just as easily do it in Re-Creation. She doesn't tho, which shows that the wish has to happen in order for a specific future to happen.
The point of S6 would be Lila becoming an even worse monster than Gabriel ever was.
Besides, after restoring the old reality, she could definitely reveal the truth about Gabriel, ruining him and possibly Tomoe forever. It would be quite ironic as Lila, who always caused pain with her lies, ends up causing the BIGGEST pain by merely telling the truth.
By the way, with Gabriel biting dust, I'm thinking what will happen to Tomoe.
By the logic of the show, all the things she did will be handwaved with no real consequences for give full technical support to a magic terrorist.
One thing, which movie done terrible wrong. Marinette - Gabriel identity reveal had no emotions. Gabriel doesn't know who the hell this girl is. In the show their enemies arc is written well with drama and tension. Hawk Moth hates Ladybug, Ladybug hates Hawk Moth, Gabriel hates Marinette, Marinette hates Gabriel. And it hits when all of this clashes.
Movie simply doesn't know what to do with one of the most important plotline in Miraculous and gives up on it all the way. Without anything simliar to "Pretention" episode, movie shouldn't do any reveal in the first place
While I agree it would have helped the movie if Gabriel coming in between Marinette and Adrian would have worked well the final really is not about Marinette. It is about Adrain and his dad.
I guess the biggest flaw of the movie is that it is trying to do too much in too little time. Honestly would have worked better as a two parter with part one ending with on a cliffhanger about Adrian no longer being allowed to go to school and Chad no longer wanting to work with Ladybug for ignoring his advances.
Sucks either way, because
-it's supposed to be Marinette finale. Adrien is deutragonist. He got way to much attention in the movie, with no development. He doesn't even fall in love with real Marinette. So the last scene was a little bit gross.
-there was no build up for Adrien and his father anyway. Besides Adrien shouting on Gabriel. Because he doesn't want to talk? It took 12 seconds.
I guess Plagg farting joke with Nathalie was way more important
You really hate Gabriel
Eh, I'm fine with it. Not every villain needs to be fated nemesis with the hero. Since this Gabriel is much less twisted so in the end, the whole endeavor was just means to getting his wife back. He never makes it personal. Lord of the Rings wouldnt be better if Sauron cared about Hobbits.
But I do wonder how much plot points were done different on purpose from Season 5. Gabriel redeems himself, he and Adrien learn each other secrets, Marinette and Adrien learn theirs too...It feels inentional
Frick off Astruc. Zag did a better job without you.
Go lick his ass Chloegay
Frick you, shill, we all liked the work better without him
>Adrian is actually treated like a character instead of just comic side kick and love object
>quality automatically improves
Nice to see what I have said since season 1 being proven right.
Do you think the movie will have a sequel? Because I do. I have to say, however, who the next villain will be?
If I didn't know better, I'll say it will be Nathalie as Mayura.
If it is a success there will be a sequel. That is the norm.
Before that sequel, the live action movie will be released.
I think it's obvious the movie IS going to be a sucess, so the sequel is garantized.
As for the live action, if it is like Disney's, then they better don't go that direction.
Disney is not involved in the live action movie.
This is a money making machine, the live action movie is now inevitable.
I don't think the live action is ever coming out. They always realize it will look like shit and cancel it then change their mind, then cancel it again. No 14 year old actress could be dressed like Ladybug
The sequel was already confirmed a while ago
Got more information?
It was at a very early screening months ago, with someone's Instagram post tagging zag mentioning he looks forward to the sequel as it had a to be continued
Google image search ladybug content calendar
The final scene of the movie is nathalie in the basement with emilie so yes
Already got spoiled a bit, but I'm gonna wait for the best quality to watch the movie. Would really like to see a comparison of all the differences from the leaked versions though. Very neat. Still sad I won't get to see it in theatres.
So the movie is ultimately proof that Astruc is the source of most of the shows writing problems?
Either him or just the fact of it needing to be episodic indefinitely.
Honestly no since it comes with its whole own set of problems. Astruc and Zag are both hacks, but in different ways
We've already proved that Asstruck doesn't have as much say as people like to believe and that he doesn't have as much say as people think.
Hard to say, since the movie is mostly about the main heroes & villain's origins, but, it was very solid and faithful to the core of the early seasons.
Surprisingly, the movie does a great job by making Marinette a likeable main character by tone down her worst traits from the show and give a decent conclusion to Gabriel.
The only thing I can say it's a fail it's that Ladybug never uses lucky charm a single time.
But, top hat Hawkmoth is a thing I didn't know I wanted!
>faithful to the core of the early seasons
funny you say that, considering that there are a lot of polar opposite opinions on that, claiming Zag completely missed the point of the show and the original idea behind it. Ah, even in this thread there're some with this mindset.
Damn, gotta wait for better quality and local release...

Any new outfits for the new seasons?
stupid sexy cat noir
I don't want to download a car; how do I view this?
Netflix in a couple of weeks
>netflix
the frick?? i thought it was gonna be a theatrical release, how is zag gonna make his money back?? wasn’t this movie expensive as hell he’s not even gonna break even
Theatrically released in France and bordering countries
And obviously they ran the numbers and would lose more by attempting a worldwide theatrical release than by dumping it on Netflix
I'm disappointed too, but I think I was expecting too much from the movie and it has very little chance of being an actual mainstream hit
It's not getting a US theatre release. It would just bomb there. It's not popular enough in the US. Especially going up against stuff like Spider Verse and Transformers and Flas......well Flash if Ezra Miller hadn't turned out to be a psychopath.
B-b-b-but Google Trends told me it's more popular than the Mario Movie or Paw Patrol!!
literally no one has ever said this
It's been argued in these threads several times because that is actually what Google Trends worldwide data shows
Worldwide. Not in the US.Hell half the reason Europe and places like Iran love it so much is because it's not American made.
How long is the movie?
About an hour and a half
Google Trends data is obviously screwed up. I seem to remember it's something to do with insane figures from iran
