Yup it is RIGHT there. And the boss baby pic isn't obscure either, it's in the first 10 images if you search the characters name (Tim Templeton)
Idk what they were thinking
I was really looking forward to it, but only managed to force myself through the first twenty minutes over the course of two days. I'll still probably try to get through the rest still, but I'm not seeing how it's going to turn around at this point.
Hahahaha those lazy frogs
Also it was nice to look at but trash as a movie. Bad songs, bad pacing, confusing for newcomers
Work on movie 2 will be scrapped, mark my words
Agreed. Laughed when I saw they announced a movie 3 as well, since last I checked this shitheap didn't quite break even. Oh well, fake project/premiere date announcements every month or two are just part of the MLB-watchers' life at this point.
Very hard to tell what numbers the movie did because it only got a theatrical release in a handful of Euro countries, which obviously didn't come close to recouping the budget of the second most expensive French film ever made, with a decent amount of marketing spend
They made a big deal of the opening day, but by the end of the opening week it hadn't even made as much at the French box office as Arthur 3 ... kek
So it really depends what Netflix paid for it. I really really really doubt it was enough to make this even close to breakeven
Personally I've had enough of the show and felt season 5 was a good place to get off the train. Though I may just be saying this now and will be back as soon as new eps release
They might fudge the numbers by calling all toy sales in the period ancillary returns for the movie. And MLB definitely still shifts toys to little girls, no matter what you think of the show
But I agree that movie 2 will likely never see the light of day because it's very likely a huge money pit unless Netflix threw unprecedented amounts of cash at it
I need to know one thing: Are there finally background crowds in paris(or other cities?) streets? The one major issue I always had with the show art is that paris looks abandoned
>paris looks abandoned
its just extra time and thats money, its true it doesnt feel "lived in" but kids are not gonna notice that theyre too busy looking at the main characters interacting

Yes there are more convincing crowds. Still maybe a little orderly for the center of Paris but there are plenty of people on-screen on the streets, in the school, at the fair in the Jardin de Luxembourg etc

I know that (though there are ways around that issue) but I wondered if the movie, being higher budget, would also have the issue, considering the topic of this thread is the movie cutting corners
People watched this shit?
Yes
watched, fapped.
explain this iamge to me. what's the context. were they just lazy and photoshopped over the boss baby kid for a background element?
Wouldn’t be the first time. They straight up used Tara Strong to make that one photo of Adriens mom.
It's so funny how they barely altered her body at all
Yeah essentially. Found the pic in a Tumblr post first and I went and checked in the actual movie, it's there legitimately.
It's not even a tiny background element or anything. It's the main thing that draws the eye in that shot

that's weird as frick, it doesn't even match the other images really.
that's just lazy, reminds me how BioWare used that stock image for Mass Effect 3
>he’s just wearing the exact same outfit he wears as a teenager but toddler size
How lazy can you be
>How lazy can you be
its a fricking childrens show, its so they can easily identify its adrien

I actually really like the show. Hopefully we're not looking at a Spirits Within situation for the franchise as a whole with this.

True enough but to answer the question
Yes there are more convincing crowds. Still maybe a little orderly for the center of Paris but there are plenty of people on-screen on the streets, in the school, at the fair in the Jardin de Luxembourg etc
>Jardin de Luxembourg
Or Tuileries actually now that I think about it
thanks
