Oh yeah I remember that, people somehow confused that a guy who only spent around 8 years in mexico and was then raised by his japanese grandparents has lost his accent by age 16. Hell if you work with second generations kids many will lose their native language by their teens if living in the US because their parents speaking it isn't enough to keep up on it. In Chads case he is being raised in japan by japanese grandparents and probably has had little reason to speak spanish in years.

I was curious to see what it'd take to actually make this artstyle look bearable, and I realized most of my gripe comes from all the weird bulging cheeks and weird lips and unnecessary amounts of detail and lines on otherwise very simplistic and cartoony faces

The worst part about Primos is that none of the characters look like they are related to each other, Half of them are mestizos, one is obviously a black chick, three are European looking. Is it implying that their mother slept with multiple men?

This is a dumb complaint, there are many latino families where the children look vastly different from eachother. Latinos are already very mixed so it's not uncommon for a few of the siblings to look like completely different races.
There’s a difference between one sibling being paler than the other and one being of an entirely different race. How many families can you name that had a ginger son and a black daughter biologically? Unless they were fraternal twins. It’s very very rare. It’s impossible when done 5 to 6 times.
The vast majority of Hispanics have Spanish or Portuguese DNA, countries where blond hair people or redheads aren’t all that common.
It’s just a way to have forced diversity. You can for sure have light skinned and brown in the same family but to have a white brown and black Hispanic from the same parents? Nah

I’ve also been friends with first/second generation Mexican Americans who act like they’re illegal and don’t appropriate the rights and privileges they have as US citizens. Alright real question looking at this image, and accounting for the potato feet, noodle limb bean mouth artstyle, why is the little white girl the only one not drawn visibly deformed in some way. Like you can make a case for the older kids I guess as well, since one just has a giant nose and freakish knees while the black girl just has either nose rings or traces of the same weird mangled nose thing a lot of the others do, but the little plush toy in glasses is basically devoid of malformities in such an obvious way that she looks like she came out of an entirely different show.
Gordita is the only well designed character because she looks like a tertiary character on any other competent beanmouth show.
