It's actually le good that Pixar is now making movies with the message "disobey your fuddy duddy boomer parents and reject their dusty ass culture, just sexualize yourself and become a New World cosmopolitan"
>Just OBEY your fuddy duddy boomer parents and NEVER have sex
Gee I wonder why right wing themes aren't popular in media? Must be the israelites.

Jews make everything gross. Also making media about hitting puberty is a strictly pedophilic behavior, normal people aren't interested in writing stories about preteens being awkward and horny and confused.
"You just got old, there is no such thing as something in decline" has to be the most cliche, overused trope of our time. What a convenient way of looking at the world, then you never have to face the bad feelings if reality, just gaslight yourself forever.
The reality of being young is being moronic and lacking any discernment of taste and thinking whatever slop is placed in front of you is le best thing ever.
"You just got old, there is no such thing as something in decline" has to be the most cliche, overused trope of our time. What a convenient way of looking at the world, then you never have to face the bad feelings if reality, just gaslight yourself forever.
Every generation post industrial revolution who says "it used to be better" is actually right. The decline is real and it is happening for decades now in an arithmetic progression. Every generation the current declined state becomes the "new normal" then it declines further and becomes "new normal" again for the next generation. But zooming out they all are correct when they say it was better in their time.
>the culture isnt in decline, you're just old and jaded, it's just nostalgia >MY PARENTS COULD BUY A HOUSE FOR 30 000 DOLLAR AND SUPPORT A FAMILY OF 5 ON ONE FACTORY JOB WHILE I HAVE 200 000 DOLLARS OF STUDENT DEBT, 2 PHD's AND CANT PAY FOR RENT FOR A CLOSET UNDER A MCDONALDS TOILET! OUR PARENTS HAD IT EASIER AND I'M SO DEPRESSED, LONELY AND MISERABLE!
When I was 12, boy bands walked the earth, everyone was trying to find the next Brittney, and rap was starting to move from the ghetto fricking sucks to a more mainstream thug life rules (which in hindsight is a funny example of media illiteracy causing a genre shift, but I digress) and I can’t say I’m partial to any of it now. I don’t dislike it all, though.
What I can tell you, however, since I have the misfortune to work a job where I sometimes have to endure a pop station, is that the last five years have produced absolutely frick all with any longevity that wasn’t made by someone with their foot in the door.
The sixties are aging out of the stations, but from the seventies to late twenty tens there was generally a few hits per year that had real staying power, but that’s just gone by the wayside now.
>Everything Was Better When You Were Twelve
When I was twelve, the decline was noticeable even to me. >Durrr you were just a stupid kid then
I'm 30. It was shit then, it's shit now, and it's only good in comparison to now, which is even worse.
Luca and Onward are just as good as Finding Nemo and Toy Story. You were just easily imprssed as a kid and now that you're older, you have nostalgic feelings about those movies. It's that simple. Some things to decline, but Pixar ain't it.
>Turning Red is bad >late AVGN is bad
Both are bad but for different reasons. The former is boardroom-mandated diversity slop made by your run of the mill Western Chinese woman who is literally creatively bankrupt (the only other production she wrote and directed ALSO dealt with Chinese-Canadian characters). Late AVGN is bad because he's a man coasting off the one thing that made him funny and popular in the first place without any passion left.
Well there are fresh crops of children that should be enjoying all the new disney/pixar stuff just as much as they enjoyed shit like Nemo/Frozen/Tangled/Monsters Inc but they aren’t. This argument only makes sense if it is only old and bitter people that don’t like the movies. No, kids also don’t like the new movies, or at least none in the last half decade or so have attained the same cultural dominance as the others
Diversity quotas should never be a thing regardless. If your story isn't good enough to be told without the interference of some board committee that mandates an XYZ percentage of blacks/browns/yellows in a film (or in this case, shoeing in an Asian woman director based on the sole fact she's an Asian woman), then it should never be made. It's a principle that's pretty easy to understand.
I'll say one thing... Even if a Pixar or Disney movie is garbage you can always guarantee that there's going to be good porn out there. All the art for the Asian mom is kino.
In all honesty I feel like the art style of the movie was made specifically to encourage people to draw shit like this. I'm not sure how to actually explain it though.
This shit concerns me. I’m 30 and I feel that as a little kid I had access to way too much fricked up shit because of the internet but we’re talking like 2002 internet. Then I see the kind of stuff that you don’t even have to put effort into looking for these days and I swear the modern internet is just a mainstream fetish factory grooming machine for maximum degeneracy of the absolute youngest beaner ipad glued frickheads
Yeah but think about it man, at least back then in the early 2000s a lot of it was mostly just googling “big boob” “big titty” “girl butts” type shit and maybe you had some fringe fetish stuff here and there if you happened to venture onto stileproject but it wasn’t the MAIN thing. Now you have ‘YouTube kids’ promoting full on vore and inflation fetish fart porn to toddlers lmao

>Now you have ‘YouTube kids’ promoting full on vore and inflation fetish fart porn to toddlers lmao
Yeah and that's been going on for almost a decade now KEK
I think that's more of the youth being hyper-perverted and having access to an endless fetish content stream at age 10.
To add, very popular adult sex streamers who stream on Twitch to children (and then link their Onlyfans and other adult content in plain view for said children) are another main culprit these days. I believe we're in the middle of the biggest female pedophile epidemic in history, thanks to streaming platforms like Twitch.
This movie's art style, while ugly, isn't the issue.
Imagine if Twitch and Rumble or whatever never existed, if YouTube didn’t was never bought by Google, and if we nuked India and China off the face of the earth 40 years ago, what a nicer place the entire internet would be.
I wish the internet still gave normalhomosexuals the equivalent of the >ick
kek. Oh well, now we're the old guys yelling at the kids to get off their lawn.
>This movie's art style, while ugly, isn't the issue.
Again, I don't know how to fully explain it, but there's something about the art style itself that feels inherently pedophilic. I think it's the giant mouths. I've always noticed a correlation between pedophiles/homos and really big mouths. Idk. Also, I was just thinking the same thing the other day about the female pedophilia thing, it's definitely everywhere and obvious now. It's very telling how desperately women try to portray normal men being attracted to women in their early 20s as pedophiles now while simultaneously encouraging women who promote porn to children.
I mean I agree that I find the art style particularly revolting but I don’t know man, you sound kind of fricked up in the head and overly obsessed with the notion of pedophilia.
conservatives see the past through rose colored glasses because they had normal happy childhoods
libshits were always miserable and dysfunctional so they're always looking for something new and different than what they know.

>It's busted >Who you calling busted, buster?.... That's right. I'm talking to you, Sid Phillips
Toy Story 1 is different from all the other Pixar movies
Modern Pixar is their OWN FAULT.
Allow me to explain:
The message of the original Toy Story film, which was watched by basically every kid of that age, had the message of "Play nice with your toys."
Except, that's the EXACT opposite advice for encouraging creativity.
Which was CONFIRMED by the animators and Jon Lasseter, who said things like "We all agreed that Sid would grow up to be an animator."
So WHY would filmmakers make a film with a message that was in direct opposition to what made them successful?
Who knows??
But, the RESULT is that an entire generation of kids who watched that film grew up to be LESS creative than they otherwise would've been.
And now Pixar is creatively bankrupt because they can't find creative artists and writers.
https://www.eyeforfilm.co.uk/dvdreview/toy-story-dvd-review-by-angus-wolfe-murray
>Co-writer, Andrew Stanton, goes on to say: “A lot of us really played hard with our toys, but even though in our eye in the movie Sid’s a bad guy, and he does bad things to toys, it’s somewhat more true to what we were.” >Lasseter adds, “We all agreed that Sid was the kind of kid who would grow up to be an animator.”
And then the uncreative c**ts at Pixar turned Sid into a garbage collector, instead of showing him becoming a successful animator or other type of creative, because the first movie made sure to stamp out all of his creativity.
https://collider.com/toy-story-sid-phillips-not-bad/
I will never watch another Pixar movie, and I'll keep that trash away from my kids too.

Pixar was never good. Name a movie, it's all shit. Toy Story, gay. Monsters Inc, fricking gay. A Bug's Lfie, appropriately titled given the cast, but still shit. Up, sentimental shit mixed with estrogen. Wall-E, see all the above. The Incredibles, worse than capeshit. Keep going down the line, it's all shit, it all sucks, you're gay, it's over for you, it never began.
Wew lad, if I ever end up this joyless and bitter then please put me in the ground ASAP. Sure, some Pixar movies have been vastly overrated but as time passes but trying to act like The Incredibles isn’t certified kino (“worse than capeshit”) just makes you seem like an unhinged sperg. Monsters Inc too, I mean I’ll agree that it’s gay on some level but you know what else is gay? My third (or maybe fourth) favorite movie of all time Tootsie, so I’ll accept that I guess.
Never said that, simpleton. I do however respect the craft enough to not write something off immediately just because it’s geared towards a younger audience. You see, there was a time years back when a “kids movie” wasn’t just a code word for goo-goo ga-ga mind numbing flashing lights and moronation, people would make movies that actually have nuance for kids because there was this now foreign concept of growing up.
>people would make movies that actually have nuance for kids because there was this now foreign concept of growing up.
That and in the era of single screen households the parents would usually be stuck watching them.
Pixar was remarkable in that it elevated the "baby movie" into a truly mass appeal feature film with a lot of hidden genius. In becoming once again a baby movie factory it has regressed into drivel.
>someone post that shit about paw patrol having a trannoid
it's not mainline paw patrol
its the gay rubble spin off series with rubble and his sibblings who build shit for people. The episode just leaves it ambiguous and never says "he/her". I don't even think they refer to the character (who skates and is a homosexual who takes pics of stuff) as "they". They refer to the character by it's name. I think the gay writers wanted to have the character as trans but maybe got stonewalled or told they can just make it ambiguous without any trans buzzwords. The episode is weird.
It is episode 16 (first half Rubble and crew build an observatory). The character wants "that pic" so they build him an observatory. Anywho, pic rel is the character in question and is androgenous. I think the character is just an Asian boy as asians have that asexual dimorphism and so boys will be hard to distinguish from girls.
t. married with kids and screen the paw patrol episodes my son watches. Don't let him watch rubble and crew.
>you can’t like things that you liked years ago because that constitutes arrested development
Not quite. Ever heard of nostalgia? All good things in moderation of course, I mean look at diehard Star Wars gays but to say that still liking something that you liked as a kid makes you a manchild really does just reek of despair and insecurity. Lighten up, fren
Life isn’t a perpetual argument and I feel that more anons (especially Cinemaphile spergs) need to come to this realization
I can go back and watch things I thought were great but are now shit/mediocre. Pixar and 90's Disney films are not that. They are wonderfully cohesive, entertaining little stories and when you grow up you actually catch all of the adult humor that was snuck in there as well. This is how you know it was a peak. They were balancing entertainment for all ages which is a feat.
some people collect toys, some collect coins, some collect beer cans, some collect guitars or other instruments. If you're into a thing, and said thing brings you joy (especially if it increases in monetary value over time), there's nothing inherently childish about collecting stuff. I will say though, it IS childish to blow all your money on collectables and other stuff you don't need when you're already poor. Poor money management IS childish. If we're talking about adults spending their money on dumb shit, let's talk about adults who spend all their money on tattoos and concert tickets. You can't re-sell your tattoos or your memories of the concert you went to. At least the people who collect physical items like Funko pops can sell their collection for a few bucks if they fall on hard times.
if the director of this movie wasn't a chink, how many articles do you think would have been written about how they made her look as white as possible?
Some guy at Pixar has to have fricked this guy's wife or something. I've never seen a manchild so upset over nothing like this. Who fricked your wife, anon?
I appreciate you giving this anon the benefit of the doubt and assuming he has a wife, I’m sure it’s a massive ego boost for him but let’s be real. This dude hasn’t attracted any women. I think you may be onto something though, someone from Pixar most likely banged his “crush” who he was too scared to talk to
I can't figure out another reason aside from pure delusions or drugs. Or they're a very lonely anon who doesn't understand how to talk to people online without an argument.
>doesn't understand how to talk to people online without an argument
Bingo. I mean I disagree with people on here plenty but I like to have conversations about it and whatnot which of course is going to include some ribbing and shit talk but it’s all in good fun. Then you have anons like this guy who really has no good points to be made but seems to think everything is a mega personal argument and rather than going into detail on his opinion, he just goes full turbo-sperg handing out (you)’s like candy. I mean hey, I’ll take em for as long as he wants to keep embarrassing himself being this staunchly opinionated about kids movies lol. Nobody ever said they were high art but they’re cool for what they are (at least they used to be).
Cartoon Saloon and Titmouse are the only animation studios right now that try to actually make art. When I say titmouse, I really just mean Chris Prynoski and his passion projects.
i dont think aging out of a demographic is that big of a deal, but i dont care enough to post a big philosophical thing on objectivity/subjectivity in something as meaningless as a Cinemaphile thread.
i liked coco but i hated inside out which already puts me at odds with the general consensus. the premise of these movies can be really fricking simple and still really fricking good. or the story can be fricking moronic. i suggest everyone take it on a case by case basis. maybe inside out 2 and toy story 5 will be good
because thief and the cobbler tampered with by Yidsney and forced to bomb because it committed the crime of being animated entirely on ones (by the richard williams studio, not the fred calvert/korean/sullivan bluth studios) and not relying on CGI, which automatically put it above Disney back in 1991.
it doesn't make sense from a narrative standpoint for the actual thief to be in my movie.
There will be a reference in there about Keith's great great great great great great grandfather being the original thief.
"My great great great great grandfather was Iranian"
Hilariously perfect example of poisoning the well. Things on the right side of the image DID happen in the film, but by listing them alongside more outrageous claims, you can obfuscate the subversive nature of this movie.
This film literally had an entire montage of the girls in the film selling "panda pics" to boys, in order to fund their own trip to a boyband concert.
This was hidden from the teachers and parents.
There was a LINE of people trying to buy "panda pics".
And people wonder why OnlyFans models are so prevalent and accepted today.
You do understand that this movie promotes pedophilia, right pedo?
Nope, you're an NPC who isn't intelligent enough to think about anything.
Just consume!
FTR, I grew up in the 1980s.
There was ZERO pre-teen or teen media content about selling naked pictures to other people the same age on any TV shows from the 1980s - 1990s. And if there was (which I can't think of any examples), it was probably criticized and by the end of the episode, the teenager learned the lesson that they SHOULD NOT be selling their body in exchange for money.
So do us all a favor, and shut the frick up.
So when she goes to the party she's naked? Or when she gets angry she becomes naked? At the end she's fighting her naked mother?
This metaphor doesn't work.

How this allegory works if we see her and her relatives in panda form multiple times in scenes that clearly aren't supposed to be an allegory for something sexual?
>My Panda, My choice! >Wait- is it- that? Did the red peony bloom?” >“Not to brag but being thirteen means I’m officially a grown-up.” >“You are now a beautiful, strong flower. Who must protect your delicate petals and clean them regularly.” >“Yeah, this isn’t just our first concert. This is our first step into womanhood. And we have to do it together. I mean, girl I will say it’s a sleepover at my house. The perfect crime.” >“Shake your moneymaker!” >“It was my idea to hustle the panda! My idea to go to Tyler’s party! It was all me! I like boys! I like loud music! I like gyrating! I’m 13, deal with it!” >“You sicko! What were you thinking? Why would you draw those things? Those horrible, awful, sexy things?” >“Everyone go home! Where are your parents? And put some clothes on!” >“Just go become women without me.” -Mei >“Mei-Mei, I know this is upsetting, but we are going to get through this together. I have ibuprofen, vitamin B, a hot water bottle, and pads. Regular, overnight, scented, unscented, thin, ultrathin, ultrathin with wings.” -Ming >“Mine called it stripper music. Face it. Most Disney characters face punishment or difficulties for disobedience, and this slop completely inverted that so we can sell young girls tales of sex positivity and disdain for traditional cultures and roles.

Considering they usually get what they wanted in the end it's hardly punishment.
The movie deals with overprotective parents, like many Disney movies before. How is the message different from let's say Finding Nemo?
Anonymous
>Considering they usually get what they wanted in the end it's hardly punishment.
Because they're still family movies at the end of the day. They succeed DESPITE their disobedience, for the sake of a happy ending, but it still remains a cautionary tale. In Turning Red, she succeeds purely BECAUSE of her disobedience.
>How is the message different from let's say Finding Nemo
If Finding Nemo was made Turning Red style, then Nemo would never be lost, and Marlin would realize that he was being overbearing and there's actually no reason to fear sharks, jellyfish, or humans that abduct your child. Marlin and Nemo compromise at the end of the film, but Turning Red shows the mother to be wholly in the wrong for not wanting her daughter to present her butthole and shake it around.

The funny thing, this film is ABOUT women, written by a woman, and it's one of the most sexist pieces of media created in recent memory.
If a man made this film, he would've been cancelled for being a sexist/racist/pedo.

There's not a lot of room for incident in the script, it's very economical compared to most Disney renaissance era films that sort of veer into all sorts of cul-de-sacs. It's also using standard pop music instead of unique theatrical songs.

As it should be. There's no way actual people can defend this trash.
I feel bad for any kids who watched it, or any parents who didn't know better because it was Pixar/Disney.

Turning red is good, none of their other recent movies interested me enough to see. The probleam is pixar was all about the gimmicks, but they ran out of fun gimmicks. Toys, fish, that's kino, water people, emotions, not as kino. I kind of want to watch the jazz and element ones sometime, those also seem decent
>they're losing... >b-b-because they just are, okay?!
The film is obviously sexually allegorical, and a quick bit of research will confirm this obvious fact. There are literally pages of articles if you Google for it.
chuds >No, officer, just because I jerk off to e-girls stretching their veganas and taking black dick in doesn't mean I'm a pedo
also chuds >OH MY RACE WAR THIS PANDA GIRL IS ALLOWING KIDS TO PET HER IT'S CLEARLY PEDOPHILIC
Nice job projecting your fetish. Also nobody on Cinemaphile gives a shit about Turning Red pedophilia. That’s a boomer / soccer mom talking point if anything
NTA but I'm a "chud" poster according to the defenders of this movie and I don't go to /misc/, it's too schizo and chaotic. You're mindbroken because you're using that board as a scapegoat
Why are you talking about a board on Cinemaphile like it's the boogeyman? It's just a board for people to b***h and moan about israelites and browns, it's no different than half of the other boards on this site.

Because he's a reddit tourist who hates Cinemaphile.
Hyper stylised to the point of being an unreal glimpse of the past. I lived in the 00s and I have no idea what the frick this film thinks it's referencing because it's not the past I grew up in as a kid.
this is incredibly lazy animation
>make pose
>mirror it and make that the end pose
>straight transform with no extra keyframes
>add cloth and hair sim (literally just a button you press and then the program does the calculations)
good morning sir tier
So you want ass pudge jiggling around? That would be realistic anon, is that what you want?
yes.
and with bræps
You sound like you wanted to be an animator once.
Too bad it's all nepotism and israelitery instead of talent and skill.
>3 minutes into the movie the 12 year old girl starts shaking her ass at the camera and pixar animates the seems of her leggins and make her dress show a part of her ass
>Ahegao faces references
Literally what the frick is this and why is this allowed?
The rhetoric around this was so dishonest it was insane
>she's not twerking, chud
>OK she's twerking but that's not necessarily sexual
>OK it IS a sexual dance, but this children's movie was heavy on themes regarding sex and puberty so it's a good thing actually
>what's wrong with a child twerking?
she's not a child, she's quite adamant that she's an adult
It's actually le good that Pixar is now making movies with the message "disobey your fuddy duddy boomer parents and reject their dusty ass culture, just sexualize yourself and become a New World cosmopolitan"
>Just OBEY your fuddy duddy boomer parents and NEVER have sex
Gee I wonder why right wing themes aren't popular in media? Must be the israelites.

"You just got old, there is no such thing as something in decline" has to be the most cliche, overused trope of our time. What a convenient way of looking at the world, then you never have to face the bad feelings if reality, just gaslight yourself forever.
It's not a cliche, it's the reality of being old you dumbfrick.
The reality of being young is being moronic and lacking any discernment of taste and thinking whatever slop is placed in front of you is le best thing ever.
Wordy leftist comic denying culture decline
Every generation post industrial revolution who says "it used to be better" is actually right. The decline is real and it is happening for decades now in an arithmetic progression. Every generation the current declined state becomes the "new normal" then it declines further and becomes "new normal" again for the next generation. But zooming out they all are correct when they say it was better in their time.
Zoomers larping as 90s kids prove you wrong you massive homosexual.
But pop music was dumb when I was 12? Even back then I realized that I had to go back 20+ years to find something decent.
>the culture isnt in decline, you're just old and jaded, it's just nostalgia
>MY PARENTS COULD BUY A HOUSE FOR 30 000 DOLLAR AND SUPPORT A FAMILY OF 5 ON ONE FACTORY JOB WHILE I HAVE 200 000 DOLLARS OF STUDENT DEBT, 2 PHD's AND CANT PAY FOR RENT FOR A CLOSET UNDER A MCDONALDS TOILET! OUR PARENTS HAD IT EASIER AND I'M SO DEPRESSED, LONELY AND MISERABLE!
All I ask for is some consistency
what was popular in 2006?
I was 12 in 2002, things were already shitty then
When I was 12, boy bands walked the earth, everyone was trying to find the next Brittney, and rap was starting to move from the ghetto fricking sucks to a more mainstream thug life rules (which in hindsight is a funny example of media illiteracy causing a genre shift, but I digress) and I can’t say I’m partial to any of it now.
This used to be more true, but post internet most art really has fricking plummeted in quality.
>Everything Was Better When You Were Twelve
When I was twelve, the decline was noticeable even to me.
>Durrr you were just a stupid kid then
I'm 30. It was shit then, it's shit now, and it's only good in comparison to now, which is even worse.
My parents and all of my friend's parents loved their Pop Culture past their 20's though. I started hating mine at 15.
Luca and Onward are just as good as Finding Nemo and Toy Story. You were just easily imprssed as a kid and now that you're older, you have nostalgic feelings about those movies. It's that simple. Some things to decline, but Pixar ain't it.
I appreciate and enjoy the former 2 movies more as an adult watching them with my kids now, than I ever appreciated or enjoyed the latter 2 as a kid.
Bro AVGN didn't become a lazy washed-up hack shitting out bottom of the barrel schlock for sponsor bucks, you just got old.

>Turning Red is bad
>late AVGN is bad
Oops nevermind I thought you were saying the opposite lol
Tamagotchis and other virtual pets were already dead by 2001. It was a brief 1999 fad that lasted as long as figet spinners.
>tamagotchi

>brown/ethnic woman goes on adventure #6750
Y-yeah, sure. Good.
Yeah its not as though Hollywood made movies almost exclusively about white men for like 80+ years
>White men make movies about everyone, including white men
so?
Diversity quotas should never be a thing regardless. If your story isn't good enough to be told without the interference of some board committee that mandates an XYZ percentage of blacks/browns/yellows in a film (or in this case, shoeing in an Asian woman director based on the sole fact she's an Asian woman), then it should never be made. It's a principle that's pretty easy to understand.
Meritocracy is a capitalist psyop, chud
I'll say one thing... Even if a Pixar or Disney movie is garbage you can always guarantee that there's going to be good porn out there. All the art for the Asian mom is kino.
In all honesty I feel like the art style of the movie was made specifically to encourage people to draw shit like this. I'm not sure how to actually explain it though.
I think that's more of the youth being hyper-perverted and having access to an endless fetish content stream at age 10.
I'm in a similar boat. Grew up with way too much porn. Wasn't healthy then, it can't be healthy now lol
It’s called cal arts AKA sewer trash and you are absolutely correct
To add, very popular adult sex streamers who stream on Twitch to children (and then link their Onlyfans and other adult content in plain view for said children) are another main culprit these days. I believe we're in the middle of the biggest female pedophile epidemic in history, thanks to streaming platforms like Twitch.
This movie's art style, while ugly, isn't the issue.
Imagine if Twitch and Rumble or whatever never existed, if YouTube didn’t was never bought by Google, and if we nuked India and China off the face of the earth 40 years ago, what a nicer place the entire internet would be.
I wish the internet still gave normalhomosexuals the equivalent of the
>ick
Her mom was hot.
By that rationale the entire world got "old and bitter" then since nu Pixar is just flop after flop
Even as a kid in the late 90's, I though cgi movies were dogshit.
It's better than in the last 10 years, yeah. The decline actually started with Brave. Turning Red is certainly not their worst film.
Oh, it started with Cars 2, I thought that was after Brave.
old pixar created trends, modern pixar follows them
hows those modern box office returns shaping up?
DEI hires have nothing to write about and their work is low concept derivitave shit.
conservatives see the past through rose colored glasses because they had normal happy childhoods

I actually liked this movie's soundtrack.
This dog shit looks like that food app ad. Goddamn what a pile of shit. Kek. Modern Pixar good? Lmfao. Its so easy to tell 90% of the budget went to cocaine and hookers, 5% on lighting and the rest on the actual movie. What a travesty.
>It's busted
>Who you calling busted, buster?.... That's right. I'm talking to you, Sid Phillips
Toy Story 1 is different from all the other Pixar movies
Another example
>Co-writer, Andrew Stanton, goes on to say: “A lot of us really played hard with our toys, but even though in our eye in the movie Sid’s a bad guy, and he does bad things to toys, it’s somewhat more true to what we were.”
>Lasseter adds, “We all agreed that Sid was the kind of kid who would grow up to be an animator.”
And then the uncreative c**ts at Pixar turned Sid into a garbage collector, instead of showing him becoming a successful animator or other type of creative, because the first movie made sure to stamp out all of his creativity.
https://collider.com/toy-story-sid-phillips-not-bad/
I will never watch another Pixar movie, and I'll keep that trash away from my kids too.
this is such a failed animator cope
Lmao, shut the frick up loser
Nailed it.
Monsters inc is genuinely great you pleb
Let me review the list here, one moment.
No, I'm afraid it says it's fricking gay. Maybe you enjoy it so much because you are also fricking gay?
Wew lad, if I ever end up this joyless and bitter then please put me in the ground ASAP. Sure, some Pixar movies have been vastly overrated but as time passes but trying to act like The Incredibles isn’t certified kino (“worse than capeshit”) just makes you seem like an unhinged sperg. Monsters Inc too, I mean I’ll agree that it’s gay on some level but you know what else is gay? My third (or maybe fourth) favorite movie of all time Tootsie, so I’ll accept that I guess.
You HAVE to respect baby movies.
You have to respect my shit take.
Fascinating! It's all still gay bullshit though.
>It's all still gay bullshit though.
did john lasseter frick your wife? your anger towards kid's movies is cringey and tryhard.
Oh you think so? Very interesting. And yet these movies are still gay. Maybe you're also gay and stupid?
>And yet these movies are still gay. Maybe you're also gay and stupid?
OOF cringe and homophobic. bye anon.
Bro just unpause Bluey so you can frick off and keep your quaint self entertained lol
You seem angry about the fact that Pixar is and always has been gay bullshit. Very curious.
The irony of you calling someone else angry must be entirely lost on you kek
Oh alright, then you are not angry about how Pixar is gay.
Oh I remember you. You're the unironic sex offender from the other thread. You stopped posting last time when we found out what you actually are.
What is that like a Toy Story 3 reference or something?
Eat shit pedo freak.

Monsters Inc?
I can tell you really have some well thought out opinions that are worth taking note of and are totally not just a knee jerk sperg
Do I detect some of that patented Pixar sarcasm in your response?
I dislike that it has become acceptable to discuss literal baby movies as if they are serious works of art.
Pixar was remarkable in that it elevated the "baby movie" into a truly mass appeal feature film with a lot of hidden genius. In becoming once again a baby movie factory it has regressed into drivel.
Nick Jr. mogs every film studio out right now.
someone post that shit about paw patrol having a trannoid
>someone post that shit about paw patrol having a trannoid
it's not mainline paw patrol
its the gay rubble spin off series with rubble and his sibblings who build shit for people.
Don't let him watch rubble and crew.
this stuff here is developed by the CIA.
Donald Trump is ordering the production of all of these transtoons.
>You just got old and bitter.
So you admit that you stayed a deluded manchild? Weird flex
who are you quoting
>who are you quoting
OP, are you moronic or something?
No, I asked who you were quoting.
>you can’t like things that you liked years ago because that constitutes arrested development
Not quite. Ever heard of nostalgia? All good things in moderation of course, I mean look at diehard Star Wars gays but to say that still liking something that you liked as a kid makes you a manchild really does just reek of despair and insecurity. Lighten up, fren
Life isn’t a perpetual argument and I feel that more anons (especially Cinemaphile spergs) need to come to this realization
>you can’t like things that you liked years ago because you got old
Not quite.
Yep that’s what I said in simpler terms. Thx
So you agreed with me, got it.
You literally parroted exactly what I said. I think it’s more that you agreed with me, pal
You replied to me arguing exactly what I argued. You quite literally agreed with me.
“When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”
I'd say 'God bless CS Lewis' but he clearly already did.

It's a masterpiece.

CS Lewis did not predict adults who'd collect funko pops
They already had such people, and asylums to contain them.
some people collect toys, some collect coins, some collect beer cans, some collect guitars or other instruments.
I LOVE baby movies and I think we should spend all of our time discussing the merits of films made for babies.
if the director of this movie wasn't a chink, how many articles do you think would have been written about how they made her look as white as possible?
>make movie about your own chink heritage
>whitewash your self insert as much as possible
Why are they like this?
Nobody ever said they were high art but they’re cool for what they are (at least they used to be).

have a nice day, OP
i dont think aging out of a demographic is that big of a deal, but i dont care enough to post a big philosophical thing on objectivity/subjectivity in something as meaningless as a Cinemaphile thread.
i liked coco but i hated inside out which already puts me at odds with the general consensus. the premise of these movies can be really fricking simple and still really fricking good. or the story can be fricking moronic. i suggest everyone take it on a case by case basis. maybe inside out 2 and toy story 5 will be good
turning red sucks
why does this shit have the thief from The Thief and the Cobbler repurposed as some kind of cringe ass mascot
because thief and the cobbler tampered with by Yidsney and forced to bomb because it committed the crime of being animated entirely on ones (by the richard williams studio, not the fred calvert/korean/sullivan bluth studios) and not relying on CGI, which automatically put it above Disney back in 1991.
It held up then, and it holds up today.
I must continue Thief's legacy.
Based as frick
Then fricking mention and show the real thief and cobbler, not your moronic cringey OCs
Those are sketches from the uncompleted version of the film, you fricking dumbass
those sketches illustrate Thief's main gimmick, hand drawn CGI.
it doesn't make sense from a narrative standpoint for the actual thief to be in my movie.
There will be a reference in there about Keith's great great great great great great grandfather being the original thief.
"My great great great great grandfather was Iranian"
Looks bad Todd
I guess everyone got old and bitter because all their movies flop now.
most reddit image I've seen in a while, even the drawings somehow reek of homosexualry
And people wonder why OnlyFans models are so prevalent and accepted today.
you understand that children doing an innocent thing that sounds shady to adults has been a thing in media since forever, right?
You're arguing with an arrogant moron, just fyi.
why are you replying to yourself?
see
I think you're mentally unstable. How panda equals naked photos?
>t. Media illiterate.
So when she goes to the party she's naked? Or when she gets angry she becomes naked? At the end she's fighting her naked mother?
This metaphor doesn't work.
It does if you're not a moron that can read into subtext. Why don't you stick to invincible threads little guy?
...it's allegorical
See:
How this allegory works if we see her and her relatives in panda form multiple times in scenes that clearly aren't supposed to be an allegory for something sexual?
>My Panda, My choice!
>Wait- is it- that? Did the red peony bloom?”
>“Not to brag but being thirteen means I’m officially a grown-up.”
>“You are now a beautiful, strong flower. Who must protect your delicate petals and clean them regularly.”
>“Yeah, this isn’t just our first concert. This is our first step into womanhood. And we have to do it together. I mean, girl I will say it’s a sleepover at my house. The perfect crime.”
>“Shake your moneymaker!”
>“It was my idea to hustle the panda! My idea to go to Tyler’s party! It was all me! I like boys! I like loud music! I like gyrating! I’m 13, deal with it!”
>“You sicko! What were you thinking? Why would you draw those things? Those horrible, awful, sexy things?”
>“Everyone go home! Where are your parents? And put some clothes on!”
>“Just go become women without me.” -Mei
>“Mei-Mei, I know this is upsetting, but we are going to get through this together. I have ibuprofen, vitamin B, a hot water bottle, and pads. Regular, overnight, scented, unscented, thin, ultrathin, ultrathin with wings.” -Ming
>“Mine called it stripper music. What’s wrong with that?”
Lmao
>Disney marketing had to pretend an Asian migrant's story about being a bawd is a good story
see
Only pedos will defend this film.
Your point? Those quotes aren't even about her panda form. You are unironically too stupid to understand a movie for children.
The angry cope of a discord homosexual getting btfo'd.
If you don't see it's mostly a representation of psychological changes occurring in a teenager during puberty then you're just a pervert.
Sounds like someone a maliciously moronic groomer would say.
Even if you ignore the more sexual interpretations, this is the first Pixar OR Disney film I can recall that rewards the characters for disobedience towards their parents.
Are you serious? Ariel? Not much bad happened to her, everything ended well. Jasmine? Rapunzel? She thought Gothel is her real mother.
>Ariel
Very nearly loses her soul to a witch and is only saved by her father and lover
>Jasmine
Becomes bored with palace life so she marries... a prince. It was always a moronic story.
>Rapunzel
>She thought Gothel is her real mother
And?
Face it. Most Disney characters face punishment or difficulties for disobedience, and this slop completely inverted that so we can sell young girls tales of sex positivity and disdain for traditional cultures and roles.
>Very nearly loses her soul to a witch and is only saved by her father and lover
And then got what she wanted anyway.
>she marries... a prince
Aladdin isn't a prince.
>Most Disney characters face punishment or difficulties for disobedience
Considering they usually get what they wanted in the end it's hardly punishment.
The movie deals with overprotective parents, like many Disney movies before. How is the message different from let's say Finding Nemo?
Marlin and Nemo compromise at the end of the film, but Turning Red shows the mother to be wholly in the wrong for not wanting her daughter to present her butthole and shake it around.
>but Turning Red shows the mother to be wholly in the wrong
It doesn't. Have you actually seen the movie?
Yes. Explain to me the resolution of the movie. Does she NOT shake her ass?
No one can actually defend this movie.
She IS in the wrong. Everyone in that family is in the wrong. They worship idols and not Yahweh and Jesus.
Cringe
Her p**** her choice chud.
So does her mom accept she's overbearing and realizing her daughter can flaunt her ass and pussy around or is it something else?
It's not about flaunting her ass. It's about giving her some freedom. It's right there in the movie.
>Mei: I'm changing, Mom. I'm finally figuring out who I am.
>I'm scared it'll take me away from you.
>Me too.
Another one:
>And things at the temple have never been better.
>O-M-G! That looks so cute!
>Our temple is the oldest in Toronto.
>And the only one that's home to the great red panda.
For those who claim the movie is anti-traditional.
And your favorite one, but in context:
>Hold on. You're not going out like that, are you?
>(SCOFFS) My panda, my choice, Mom.
>(CHUCKLES) I'll be back before dinner, okay?
What a prostitute, right? Returning before dinner.
>It's about giving her some freedom
The freedom to sexualize yourself as a child. Any parent with a drop of wisdom knows you can't give your child boundless freedom.
>For those who claim the movie is anti-traditional
It is. An Asian girl twerking and having it be seen as a righteous subversion of oppressive, patriarchal cultures is the opposite of "traditional"
Your brain is rotten by this website. Her mother controlled her whole life and when she tried to do something she enjoyed (like going on the concert) her mother was against it.
The movie isn't about twerking.
Here's the traditional message of The Little Mermaid.
>SEBASTIAN: Well, it's like I always say, Your Majesty. Children got to be free to lead their own lives.
>TRITON: You - always say that? (sighs) Then I guess there's just one problem left.
>SEBASTIAN: And what's that, Your Majesty?
>TRITON: How much I'm going to miss her.
Yeah and selling pictures of her p**** for money
Yeah, and at the end when she's doing the same to raise money it means she became a child prostitute at the local Chinese shrine.
Famous chud logic. Maybe leftists are right about media literacy. You people can't understand a movie for literal teenage girls.
>Uhhh AKTUALLY THE SUBTEXT IS MAGICALLY ERASED BECAUSE OF ONE SCENE
Cope
You can have themes about overbearing parents without selling rhetoric about how little girls should be performing overtly sexual acts as an act of righteous rebellion. Your brain is rotten, I can't imagine defending this tripe.
ALADDIN RUINED MY KINO!
I ONCE WATCHED A STREAM OF IT IN BIGSCREEN ON MY VR, AND THE ANIMATION FRAMERATE WAS GARBAGE (the stream was high quality) THEY ANIMATED ON 2S AND 3S, AND THE CGI WAS HORRIBLE.
OH IT WAS HORRIBLE.
No it isn’t
>source: I said so chudcel
>make blatantly false statement
>multiple people disagree with statement
>get riled up about it
How many times a day does this describe your actions, fren
Thank God Pixar isn't letting this director near anything important.
>Sexwork is real work Chud!
This is what Leftists unironically want to teach to your kids.
It's okay to sell out your friends for sex as long as you can go to a boyband concert.
Turning Red feels closest to Hunchback of Notre Dame in terms of its narrative structure, it just inverts the ending
Guess what, you still sound mentally unstable.
Coming from a pedo or pedo defender, I'll take that as a compliment.
>I see everything in this children's movie as something sexual
>You're the pedo, though
So, about the mom showing her big red panda at the end...
The damage control task force has been awfully quite since this dropped.
As it should be. There's no way actual people can defend this trash.
I feel bad for any kids who watched it, or any parents who didn't know better because it was Pixar/Disney.
>I interpret panda as pussy because I have a dirty mind
>Somehow, this is Disney's fault
Modern pixar looks all the same. No thanks.
Complete lack of artistic diversity.
Turning Red is one of their few recent movies that looks different though
You say this while posting THAT as an example of modern Pixar allegedly being good?
What if it actually sucks AND I'm old and bitter
can we please just talk about how *empowering* Abby was for Korean wamen? Cute, sassy, funny and ALWAYS fashionable.
she was a funny fat gremlin
stop looking for things to get upset about
my dick is upset
Every single canadian asian ive met has been by far the worst kind of people, evne worse than crackhead hood Black folk.
Is it a culture thing to be such naturally terrible people,or is it in their genetics?
Genetics. And they aren't Canadians.
what is the status of the pentagon?
Absolutely patpilled thread
>Roger,me,Batas and Richard

wanna know more about it?
*laughter
>Toker?
>no,these gang...they very funny
*laughter laughter laughter
and several of the same guy, indicating the super speed
from yet 2b I think
>we settle the mood by singing a horrible song about these horses fricking
and it was two floating heads
from 16a,now 25a
soon to be 26a
Turning red is good, none of their other recent movies interested me enough to see. The probleam is pixar was all about the gimmicks, but they ran out of fun gimmicks. Toys, fish, that's kino, water people, emotions, not as kino. I kind of want to watch the jazz and element ones sometime, those also seem decent
>You'll be kept in maximum security prison.
chuds are losing another thread
they can't help it. their insatiable lust for children makes them the same as trannies, which is funny
>they're losing...
>b-b-because they just are, okay?!
The film is obviously sexually allegorical, and a quick bit of research will confirm this obvious fact. There are literally pages of articles if you Google for it.
>>You'll be kept in maximum security pris-AAAAAAACCCKKK!!!!!!!!
chuds
>No, officer, just because I jerk off to e-girls stretching their veganas and taking black dick in doesn't mean I'm a pedo
also chuds
>OH MY RACE WAR THIS PANDA GIRL IS ALLOWING KIDS TO PET HER IT'S CLEARLY PEDOPHILIC
Nice job projecting your fetish. Also nobody on Cinemaphile gives a shit about Turning Red pedophilia. That’s a boomer / soccer mom talking point if anything
>Also nobody on Cinemaphile gives a shit about Turning Red pedophilia
/misc/ does, as this thread shows
>/pol/
Mindbroken.
i like how you don't deny /misc/ is here
NTA but I'm a "chud" poster according to the defenders of this movie and I don't go to /misc/, it's too schizo and chaotic. You're mindbroken because you're using that board as a scapegoat
>I'm not from /misc/ you troony pedo golem mutt
this. they is everywhere. we gotta remain viiglent against those frickers
For me ? It's Ugaromix, DeStijl and Diathorn
If they are so good then why do their movies keep bombing?
But young people hate this slop. It is why they watch Anime instead of this.
This. Leftist cat moms, trans people and insufferable Western Asian women watch it not children
last for TTD and TKD
