YES YES
ok but hows the merch sales?
I know nothing about this fad beyond the name and the toilet image.
How bad is it really?
Most of it's shit (haha) and the same stuff over and over again, while some of it actually has interesting plot lines and twists. So it's 80% dumbshit and 20% interesting. Animation is decent.
It's mechs destroying other mechs, getting progressively bigger and more powerful. One side's mechs are toilets doing silly GMOD faces. That's really it.
Which admittedly is totally different from what I thought it was
It's actually run if you want to see cool mechas fighting giant toilet monsters.
approx 75% kiddie stuff and 25% some russian guy flexing his 3d animation kills in a nearly defunct software
It's a random shitpost turned sci-fi war documentary turned mecha fighting. It's worth the 2 minutes of content a week.
I wonder how much Biser King (the guy who made the skibidi song) earned from all the royalties with the video.
The tiny snatches used are probably fair use
Hasn't stopped big companies from trying
I'm pretty sure he's Russian so I don't know if that offers protection against greedy music labels.
i watched the whole and it felt like a 6-8 episode long SFM that got split into like 56 short formate episodes, would be alot better if it was compiled with extra content to link together each part better
That's because you consume content like a grandpa
i want to sit down and watch the entire thing without roughly 6 thousand years of loading in between 40-60 second vidoes
Unless you're a third worlder loading is a non-issue
Also if you watch the "season" videos instead of each one you only have to watch like 17 vids
Binging isn't popular anymore?
So this is why they're called generation ALPHA. I fricking kneel, skibidiGODS
Ironically the series is very very late millennial / earlier zoomer gmod humor. It's just the audience that's gen a
>Ironically the series is very very late millennial / earlier zoomer gmod humor. It's just the audience that's gen a
Same way that boomers and Xers are responsible for all the shit that the millies love to gush about on Cinemaphile.
gen alpha never experienced gmod so this stuff is fresh for them
i think DaFuq realized to the golden goose he just made was good enough he could spend like a week on a few minutes of content and be able to live on it, honestly respect it.
This series has a good taste in music.

>young zoomers don't know who tears for fears is or the name of the song
I think i am going grey, frick
names of songs are generally irrelevant for zoomers
if they want their friends to hear a song you found on spotify, there's a share button
if they want to make a tictoc video with the same song, there's a button for that
>surpassed 10 million views and almost 1 million likes
idiot. That just means that over 9M people hated it.
1 minute videos that you can scroll through while on the shitter have a frick load of views in only a small amount of time. Who knew? It's almost like it takes zero effort to consume, then continue about your day - unlike literally any of the shows you listed which would require someone to actually take some time out of their day to commit to watching.
I know this thread is bait, I think there's actually people that genuinely think this is some massive fricking achievement that mogs actual indie shows. This guy has to put very little relative effort into this, but he also doesn't gain that much even from millions of views on these extremely short videos. It's just elaborate shitposting that people enjoy, which is fine.
You lost, moron.
You need to be 18 to use this site. Go back to Youtube Kids.
i like it when elaborate shitposting fricks over actual creators, its funny.
Who's it fricking over? It's minute long videos.
>I know this thread is bait
Then why respond like this and make the show used for the reaction image look worse by association?
>Then why respond like this
>think there's actually people that genuinely think this is some massive fricking achievement that mogs actual indie shows
Just because it's a bait thread doesn't mean there isn't discussion to be had. You seem to be under the impression that I also think it's a competition or something, it isn't. I said the funny gmod shitpost series is fine and it's fine that people enjoy it, but there's also people that think the large amount of views in a short amount of time on minute-long videos is a huge deal - when it's just a simple fact of how the algorithm works and that a shorter video takes less effort to consume. Why are you acting like what I said is some kind of argument?
Because I don't trust people to have a discussion about these things. Especially in a thread with an OP like this. It always ends up with
>xbros.... we lost...
Or something along those lines. Which while those posts usually are just jokes, anything beyond more critically analyzing a post like OPs comes off as being unable to take a joke, and therefor pathetic/insecure.
That's fair I suppose. There's nothing to be insecure about over a Gmod shitpost series getting millions of views on 1-2 minute long videos, though. I think it's quite nice the guy that makes this can put (relatively) such little time into creating these videos but still have so many people watch his stuff because it's so easy for people to just turn their brains off and enjoy without much effort. This board is so poisoned by negativity and homosexualry in general I can see why you'd think that though.
Stop being such a homosexual, moron
>1 minute videos that you can scroll through while on the shitter
It's funny how you had to explain this obvious thing and say this whole thread is bait.
Do you have so little faith in other anons that you think they're literal morons instead of this whole thread being shitpost?
>Do you have so little faith in other anons that you think they're literal morons instead of this whole thread being shitpost?
Yes. You do realise you are on Cinemaphile right?
I don't think people understand the true meaning behind Skibidi Toilet, so I will try to briefly explain it the best I can.
The creator of the series is a Russian who had to move to Georgia (the European country, not the American state) due to the invasion. The sentient toilets in Skibidi Toilet represents the Russians and the sentient humanoid mechs (cameras, TVs, etc.) are Ukrainians who are witnessing their homeland being invaded by these strange toilet monstrosities. The mechs are defending their country from the toilets invading it, even if it means sacrificing their own lives. It's a subtle analogy on what going on in east Europe right now, and kids (and some adults) by the millions watch this to cope. Remember when Looney Tunes and Disney made cartoons about WWII back then? This is like the modern day World War II cartoon.
>Same thread every day.
Welp, time to name the schizo. Should he be Skibidigay or Toiletgay?
Toiletgay is funnier.
Skibidigay is more indicative of the actual topic. Toiletgay is more insulting.
It's cute that you think a thread about a series this popular is only made by one person
>Should he be Skibidigay or Toiletgay?
>Toiletgay is funnier.
I vote for Toiletgay.
Toiletgay is both funnier and more indicative of the thread quality.
Same thread everyday? Only been one I have seen is this one trying to shit post.
I'm a simple man.
I see Skibidi Toilet as a series and I'm won over by a Russian turning a Tiktok music video into a war series.
I see dumbfrick kids doing dumb shit with Skibidi Toilet and people milking it on Youtube and I laugh at how cringe they are.
It's a benefit on both sides where the actual thing is a guilty pleasure and the people who surround it are hilariously awful.
There was a time when I liked this a lot because it felt like some elaborate shitpost. And then, I realized with the constant spam and escalation, it all ended up as just some kind of content farm to make money. Like those algorithm-generated kid videos that sing the Finger Family or Monkey Jumping on the Bed song.
In your eyes, am I allowed to like both Skibidi Toilet and Murder Drones? Or do I have to pick a side in this?
Uh, like what you want? Why do you need to ask?
No reason at all. Regardless, OP is a gay.
Mogging Helluva Boss is easy. The writing became shitty gay melodrama.
Honestly insane that THE most biggest Gmod/SFM-style series ever happens to be this, almost a decade past its "prime"...
It's kind of neat to see SFM still relevant. Brings me back to older SFM animations.
