The present plot is kinda weak just them meandering about in Alaska until the asian guy split from the group and found an abandoned radio station that saved them in the last minute. at least the ice kaiju was pretty good to see on-screen

Worst episode so far by a long shot. Turns out it sucks having to spend a whole episode with the least interesting characters.
The most boring episode. No 50s crew, focuses on two worst characters. Kurt Russell was great as always.I'm glad Frost Vark survived and things are finally starting to get going. But I'm afraid the entire next episode will be them trying to break out of Monarch facility before we finally get to E06 that's supposedly like the really great one and has Godzilla rising from the desert.
otherwise it was fine but don't really care about kentaro's art past. i've bad feeling that they do these flashbacks for other characters too
I watched these scenes without subtitles so I have no idea what it was about. I didn't even catch he was a designer.
But at least I learned the names of two least interesting characters. Mei or May doesn't even live in Japan or at least not for long she was just there, they met and soon after that the events of the show happened so there. This makes her slightly more demographically realistic.
I guess this was a filler episode
It was a way to show that something weird is up but now that they're captured they will be interogated so I don't expect a very fascinating episode. Maybe the 50s gang will carry the show as usual.
But I've heard so much about episode 6 (and 8 and 9) that it better fricking deliver. There will be like 3-4 episode of them establishing their relationship with Godzilla (as he wrecks some evil monster shit).
The dad probably went through the portal which is where we're gonna see teases for GxK.

The best scene so far is Godzilla getting nuked and Miura crying for him. Felt like it touched something important to the franchise.

I think I turned it off on episode one when the annoying sheboon uber hacker living in Tokyo was introduced. If someone make a kaijucut after the show is over I'll watch that but I'm not sitting though a 10hr or whatever struggle session just to watch some kaiju get down.

finally had to FF ahead this week, the black girl scenes and weird sex scenes are such shit.
Also, them not finding the father while simultaneously getting caught by monarch really makes me doubt the story line arc now. But we are getting some decent kaiju scenes.
Their plane was gone so someone has to transport them to another location. Somehow they will end up in Algeria by episode 6 where supposedly everything shifts into high gear. So episode 5 might be a borefest then?
I am expecting episode 5 to be full of exposition
