It's not doing well because all the animators Zeurel helped over the years are ignoring him and do not want to promote his material.
Promotion can only do so much with Earthworm Hoek here. Zeurels mistake was blowing up the production costs of his niche passion project to unsustainable numbers while expecting the viewcounts of Digital Circus. It's just not appealing to a wider audience.
And Monkey Wrench is actually doing extremely well for what it is.

I mean, really widely known, not just things that get threads on anonymous mongolian basketweaving imageboards. Zeurel made a few animations of an esports streamer and that limits his potential growth - if that streamer is pulling in a million views per video, Zeurel is for sure getting less than that. Glitch got popular specifically from original content, so they had no such limit.
Meatcanyon's made some original stuff too but after he was already really popular and it still doesn't do as well as his "parodies", on average.
Meatcanyons videos are short and get put out within the window of the subject matter being topical. You can't compare that to a TV series.

The Rocket & Groot shorts are exactly what Monkey Wrench should strive to be. Short 2-minute comedy adventures in space featuring a raspy voiced and deep voiced duo.
I've said it before, the only marginally interesting part of Monkey Wrench, at least for me, is Kara and the Terran apocalypse shit. Kara for obvious reasons, and the idea of us being persona non-grata to all other alien life is probably one of the most unique depictions of Humanity in a scifi setting. Zeural would be a dumbass to not explore it further. Also he should do a full episode about Kara with the two main characters not showing up.
