I don't hate it and I really appreciate the work that goes into it (especially the animation and music), but it's just not that entertaining to me, I don't feel like I want to watch it out of obligation. That being said, I watch a few new ones if casey in in a lot of episodes
I like this show but its characters are too annoying. Lunella might be the most unlikable DTVA girl since late-season Star Butterfly. Casey is constantly whinging about "muh dads" like Clyde McBride. The rogues gallery is unremarkable save Beyonder, and the rest of the cast is indistinguishable turdies. I actually found Kiff and HOI more watchable this and they have like 1/10th the animation budget. Disney most really want their marvelshit to succeed because this looks like the most expensive flop since Netflix's The Dark Crystal

Also I hate devil dinosaurs design in this show and it doesn't help he adds nothing to it. They don't even include his backstory or any hints at a former relationship with moonboy. You could write him out most episodes and next to nothing would change. This is because they included an annoying side character Casey and seem to want to include a more annoying cast because building a dynamic around a girl and her pet dinosaur is too much for these hacks.
Primal for kids sound way more entertaining than the esg alternative where they talk about issues about black hair no one cares about

She fights a lot of cool villains too. The Beyonder is genuinely scary. He's basically god and can completely control all reality around him. Moon Girl has never actually defeated him, he merely allows her to win because she intrigues him. It's cool and I'm really interested to see how they'll handle him next season

It's funny how the main consensus with Devil Dinosaur origianlly was what to do with Moon Boy, he seems tacked on cause he had no real powers etc and was just a window for the reader to be introduced to the world DD inhabited.
Now that Moon Girl replaced him it's what do we do with Devil Dinosaur, cause suprise suprise why do you need a pet Dinosaur when your apparently a supergenius smarter than Reed who can make just about anything to fit any situation and you usually solve problems you have on your own. Nah, I give a lot of credit to the show for making Devil an actual character with personality instead of just some empty mascot. He's very sweet, loyal, and emotional. He's not super complex or anything but he undeniably is an important part of the show and even has a few episodes revolving around him and his struggles. Being a big dinosaur in a little city aint easy

We did get a faithful adaptation that respects the source material. This show is based on the Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur comic. Laurence Fishburne read it with his daughters and convinced Disney to make this show.

Honestly one of the best shows to come out in the recent years and one that doesnt shove the whole woke thing down your throat unlike the new proud family reboot. Moon Girl just felt like a fresh breeze towards what marvel and disney has been making. Great style/visuals, dope characters and stories and the music alone is amazing (completely original, besides the one sweatpants)
