Not him, but to be brutally honest, S3 of BCG felt too short compared to the previous two seasons that had enough potential to set itself apart from this season by being more wholesome. This season was rather a mix mash/rehash of S1/S2 without depth, plus Gloria felt underutilized in country episodes and neither of the country characters there were anything interesting but weak at best and worst. The biggest mistake was having 10 extra episodes being sliced outta this season just for a tv movie that should've ran by its own pace than to take what it was in place before.

We should have gotten a story about Lunella becoming a hero, building trust with Devil Dinosaur, and finding a cause worth fighting for. None of that happens in any meaningful way, and the show fritters most of its season away on random encounters and patronizing life lessons. It's a shame because the visuals are really good, the characters are largely fine, and there's no inherent problem to telling a story from an exclusively black perspective. But this is Rise of the TMNT 2.0. That show didn't really find its storytelling footing until late in its life, and I don't quite have the patience to find out if this show will do the same.

That's pretty much it right there. They blew through the series and finished the first season before it even had a chance to build a fan base of any kind. The first episode is double-length so they can establish the world, so you get to learn things like "The Avengers, including Spider-man, do not visit south NYC."

They're pulling an Amphibia AND a Molly by both tonal whiplashing the audience after a cliffhanger finale and introducing a ready baked straight love interest.
It's all on the way Disney aired the show. Instead of a traditional weekly schedule, they instead used CN Steven Universe style monthly bomb drops on D+, killing discussion or hype buildup.

Same. Trying to connect EVERY show or movie is more a limitation than a positive. Maybe it's partially because I'm not the most well-versed in Marvel Comics, but I can't relate to people who obsess over maintaining a "shared universe" or whatever. A more extreme example would be The Pixar Theory. Just leave them be and let each thing exist within its own canon. It really doesn't need to be that complicated.
You can still have a shared universe and be standalone. Like the 90s shows did. You don't have to watchX-Men, Iron Man, and Fantastic Four to understand Secret War. It's just a Spider-Man episode. This never ending build up towards shit is just exhausting and I don't want that from these animated shows. Just let each show tell its own story.
I really hate the way they always have Peter as a teenager and then pair him up with teen characters who debuted decades after him while other heroes who are his same age in main universe get to be adults and also treat him like a kid.
I'll take anything so long as Disney can make a good show after two steaming piles of shit. This show has a nice aesthetic and the classic cast is mixed in with newer teen heroes but they're all d-listers or other deaged characters so it won't he as irritating.
I'd say in general Marvel has yet to produce a good cartoon since the buyout. Both seasons of Earth's Mightiest Heroes was in production before the buyout and the season 2 episodes produced under Disney were of a clear lesser quality.

I feel its a mix of cape fatigue, Disney Channel being a tween girl channel not being an attractive audience, and the show itself being a bit hard to follow for casual audiences. Even for us hardcore DTVAutists, we've seen leaks of an early season 2 episode. They're pulling an Amphibia AND a Molly by both tonal whiplashing the audience after a cliffhanger finale and introducing a ready baked straight love interest.

There's no way Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur's getting a third season. It's gotta be hella expensive for one, but it's also pretty standalone as far as Marvel cartoons go. I imagine Disney's gonna be more invested in the shows actually produced under Marvel Studios rather than Disney TVA.
I really hope those shows just stay standalone. Freshman Year claims to be an MCU show but it also has nothing to tie it to the MCU. Isn't Nico Peter's best friend here?

Same. Trying to connect EVERY show or movie is more a limitation than a positive. Maybe it's partially because I'm not the most well-versed in Marvel Comics, but I can't relate to people who obsess over maintaining a "shared universe" or whatever. A more extreme example would be The Pixar Theory. Just leave them be and let each thing exist within its own canon. It really doesn't need to be that complicated.
You can still have a shared universe and be standalone. Like the 90s shows did. You don't have to watchX-Men, Iron Man, and Fantastic Four to understand Secret War. It's just a Spider-Man episode. This never ending build up towards shit is just exhausting and I don't want that from these animated shows. Just let each show tell its own story.
I really hate the way they always have Peter as a teenager and then pair him up with teen characters who debuted decades after him while other heroes who are his same age in main universe get to be adults and also treat him like a kid.
I'll take anything so long as Disney can make a good show after two steaming piles of shit. This show has a nice aesthetic and the classic cast is mixed in with newer teen heroes but they're all d-listers or other deaged characters so it won't he as irritating.

I'd say in general Marvel has yet to produce a good cartoon since the buyout. Both seasons of Earth's Mightiest Heroes was in production before the buyout and the season 2 episodes produced under Disney were of a clear lesser quality.
