Huh, didn't think Lunella would be changing up her ponytail as well. I'm going to miss that big poofy one if she really does lose it.

That would check out. I imagine in universe time would be passing and we have no idea how long she's going to be in that other world so Lunella changing up her look to match the experience she's gained would be fitting.

That's a point I had wondered about. Moon Girl's first season started with a big forty four minute special but it doesn't seem like this season is going to get one from the episode lists and TV guides we've seen. Did they not get to do those this season? I mean, two part episodes pretty much do the same thing but it is a change.
I don't think Disney is being as generous for the second season, much like TGAMM.

Yeah, though that’s partly because some episodes were combined or cut.
The premiere was originally a two-parter they just merged into one.
