Quick Ass? Dude is a vacuum
Gay voice
He's into hags
>Purvis and Wade are back
>Craig is gone
>capeshit/DEI/ESG dying
>33, seasoned and handsome
>great at action and comedy
>Campbell could be back
Bondkino is back.
he will never be Tom Cruise
true but James Bond is the biggest role in the business.
lol no
True, he's taller than 5 "7
more like taller than 5'5. Still, lacks even an ounce of cruises star power and possibly titanium balls.
you literally wish for that charisma vacuum to be prime Bruiese Cruise. Not gonna happen
this gives me MI2 vibes. I don't think that much kino would be permitted in the modern day. they'll slop it up. can't help themselves.
same shit like clive owen
Owen was never offered it, it was always Craig/Cavill. ATJ is the only contender. his new movie is about being the biggest action star on earth and in the real world he's about to bag James Bond.
>inb4 Batman
Not even close. Batman is capeshit for children. James Bond is a cultural institution in and of itself. It's like comparing GTA to Call of Duty in terms of status. more men have walked the moon than played Bond.
not even close, i used Tom in MI2 to make that mockup because they have similar body shape and hair. it's to visualize how he'd look as Bond should be cast which is almost certain.
owen was the best choice at the time
then we got blond bond
True but they didn't even consider him. Craig was Barbara's choice while Cavill was the director's choice. He fought hard for Cavill but ultimately, she's the boss and 15 years went down the drain of nothing but garbage. I'm not sure how Bond could recover unless they make a movie ten times better and more refreshing than GoldenEye.
Unironically, younger and more on the rise cavill was THE bond. Craig was acceptable at best, but the whole shit movies thing didnt help for real. The only okayish craig bond movie is CR.
> Cavill was the director's choice. He fought hard for Cavill
Headcanon
>owen was the best choice at the time
He was. I felt like those BMW films he did in the early 2000s was setting him up to be the next Bond.
> James Bond is a cultural institution in and of itself
How old are you and what country are you from?
> more men have walked the moon than played Bond.
More men have played Bond than have kissed my backside, making that the most prestigious position.
James Bond has been going for 60 years and despite a 20 year era of shit movies and a shit Bond it's still as popular as ever. Something with that cultural power and longevity is unprecedented.
>inb4 Sherlock Holmes or any other shit
No. We're talking big massive blockbuster cinema, the biggest form of popular culture. NTTD was shit and no one liked it but it still made near 800m in COVID times. That's massive.
>Batman is capeshit for children.
All capeshit is for children.
>Early Life
No thanks bro
You'll have a hard time convincing me this isn't James Bond then
If he fixes his voice, he's a perfect choice for Bond. Judging by Kraven, he definitely can lower his voice to sound cool and imposing. He's young and not a huge name which is perfect for marketing. Tenet was also great for him. I love how he drew his gun on the black guy, smooth and very nice.
Confirmed over and over for years. Google it.
True but we'll never know. He was the perfect blend of all Bond actors and looked like a mix of Dalton/Pierce but young and fresh. That decision will probably haunt Bond forever.
> If he fixes his voice
lol
> Confirmed over and over for years
No, Campbell said he was a contender but too young
> Something with that cultural power
Bond has been a trend follower since the 60s
All the tropes and iconography people associate with Bond were in the Connery films. People watch them, there are a few weirdos who are obsessed with them, but it doesn’t have ‘cultural power’ with anyone under 50
>Bond has been a trend follower since the 60s

What hole do you live under?
How can someone live under a hole? You mean ‘what rock do you live under’ or ‘what hole do you live in’.
Also you’ve no counter-argument
Bond is still a name everyone recognizes and knows all the tropes and cliches inside out, what else has that kind of cultural hold? The day the new Bond is announced, it'll be massive. I don't even know why I'm even explaining what should be self-evident. It chases trends from lesser franchises that are forgotten which doesn't effect anything. Plus, that's only true for Craig's shit era. The old movies just had some fun sequence that had influences of the era but the formula was the exact same for 40 years anon and the Brosnan era made insane money and was the biggest franchise of the time before capeshit.
You don’t even disagree with what I said. The ‘tropes and cliches’ which everyone knows are the ones from the 60s movies. Kids know them from parodies of parodies of James Bond movies, they probably haven’t even seen the films themselves. They know tuxedo + db5 from GTA V James Bond parody more than from Sean Connery films. They were very influential just as Star Wars was very influential, but no new Star Wars movies have ‘cultural hold’ beyond the decades old name recognition, no one is imitating what the latest Star Wars movie did, just like no one is imitating what the latest Bond movie did.
Incidentally, how old are you and what country are you from?
Brosnan and Connery, to be more precise. Those movies did great for the character's cultural spot. Also, GoldenEye n64. I'm a Euro and old enough to remember the 97 Bondmania with TND's release.
See, you’re not even under 30. Bond is something people see in the cinema and don’t think about otherwise. It’s Aleva y franchise with no cultural influence beyond the long past parodic tropes it encysted in pop media 60 years ago
What do people think about otherwise? If anything, that's good. You don't have hoards of fricking idiots obsessing over media. They watch it, like it, move on.
>aleva y
Are you a Hispanic?
A legacy*
No body wants that israelite as bond. Shills need to stop with this thread and normalizing their casting choice.
They'll announce Cavill any day now
Charisma vacuum. Doesn't matter how much he hits the gym, this guy doesn't have chad energy.
It's a shame he fell victim to a pedophile sexual predator
He is actually an underrated actor, he was great at playing a sleazy hick psycho in Nocturnal Animals.
I'm not a Bond fan myself so I don't care but he's a good pick, better than Cavill who can only play himself.
Has nobody ever thought to get Cruise as a villain for a 007 movie?
Shit would sell millions
The 007 franchise is run by a woman that's even worse than Kathleen Kennedy. It's OVER. Cruise or Bezos should buy her out already.
I doubt cruise would get involved in modern bond, especially in a role of a bad guy
We already had modanna show up in a bond movie and it was awful so I hope not.
Charisma black hole and scientifically proven gayface
Great choice
As a woman, even though it was 10 years ago, he was really hot in Anna Karenina and Nowhere Boy, we might finally have a hot Bond after the mid gay ass Craig. Not as hot as Pierce though.
>As a woman
Never once seen him do anything that makes me think he could be Bond. If he gets it, we're stuck for ten plus years of mediocrity.
But I think the bigger issue is how they handle everything else. They will undoubtedly try and make it a 'modern' day Bond. Like the 'subtle' hints to Bond being bi, or a horrendous plot about Global Warming and some evil righty trying to profit of it.
Bond has zero chance in the modern day. And people who think Atj would be good know nothing about Bond.
Lock up your grandmothers.
I hooe he plays a chad sociopath Bond
I bet his armpits smell nice
Gives off frickboy vibes. Also he's in a weird marriage.
