I thought the scene was pretty funny. They were both having different conversations, Batman thinking it was an interrogation and the Spedller thinking they were friends. Batman calls him autistic and then he rees in response. Both characters are supposed to be serious too.

It's a scifi element that comes out of nowhere. So far up to that point nothing shown in the trilogy is entirely unrealistic. This isnt comic/vidya batman with perfect vr 3d crimescene recreation technology, or ironman-tier armoured mech suits.
