the weirdest part about this whole thing is its almost surely a psyop
they literally pitched it at the NSA's cyber warfare conference in 2017 which is available in full on YouTube
      l
also to sort of add to this in Australia our regular television has taken to linking every single facet of our society to drive up support of taylor swift, even going so far as having a half hour segment on "taylornomics", having our weather reports full of puns to do with her show, and even random highway deaths being given the headline "Swift tragedy" and "Taysaster" I shit you not, and this has been going on for 2 months

every time somebody leaves our television on I walk into the living room to some new seemingly unrelated taylor swift chinese economy tips or what have you.
I can no longer sanction this buffonery

You are on to something. I don't know any of her songs either. If the ~~*media*~~ is to be believed, she's approaching MJ's level of popularity, but I can't imagine now knowing any of his songs. People in isolated shitholes heard of him, and that was before widespread global adoption of the Internet.

Did that many people own TVs back in 1969? Weren't they still kind of a luxury item? It's crazy to think that many people had access back then.

During the game taylor was on screen for around 40 seconds which is about $10 million dollars in superbowl ad costs and it was not all in one spot but spread out over the most exciting moments of the game.
