Dude, the only white character in the series is Szeth. The rest are asian-eyed tan(or not tan like Shallan) tall central asian types.

this could only be done live action with Endgame levels of budget imo
right now this would be better as an animated adaptation

I like Sanderson's stuff because he takes the cool side of the anime aesthetic and the good tropes without making it unbearably embarrassing to read. It's pure teenage boy stuff and enjoyable.

You guys can’t be defending slanderslop, read a fricking (good) book.

Now this would be good, grandma-incest, hyper-violence, guns in a medieval setting - this would get all the GoT wine moms and boomer dads going.

I'd like to see a movie about Blue Marvel and his arch enemy Anti-man (pic related)
Hollywood loves to ruin characters by race and gender swapping them to troll the white male fans so it annoys me that they have perfectly good original black characters they could choose to make movies about but they never do.

On a similar note, the Imaro novels would make a great compromise for Amazon in the wake of their refusal to touch Conan.

Yeah the spren would be impossible to do in an actual cool way in CGI

Sadly this would be best as a Japanese anime because tbh a lot of the dialogue is really dumb sounding when you read it out loud much better when read but Sanderson already said he wouldn't do it animated unless he had no other option and just wanted to self fund for the fans

Sanderson is a moron. He wrote a world that can either be 90% CG live action, or amazing animation, and he insists on live action.

It's because the point is to reach new fans and be game of thrones worldwide appeal. Only nerds watch anime so if you make an anime and it's good then you just get praise from people who like you and if it's bad you piss off your fans

If you make a live action and it's bad people say well it was impossible to do but if it's good you're the new #1 author in the world

I want them to adapt all of Sanderson's books in the worst way possible. I want them all to be terrible and shoved full of inaccurate sjw-pandering bullshit. Frick Brandon Sanderson for not standing up for Wheel of Time, the fat, spineless, piece of shit fake Mormon loser.

No, he said he enjoyed it and considered it "another turning of the wheel," which is just a spineless way of excusing Rafe Judkin's rape of the source material and staying in the good graces of people who might adapt his material. I hope the angel Moroni visits him tomorrow night and calls him a pussy.

I thought the second was almost as good but, yeah, the third was trash. I haven't even bothered picking up the fourth since I hear it's even worse.

        Anonymous

Actually I think the third is better than the second. The second has some cool bits but the Dalinar focus on the third is really good. The fourth is definitely the worse of the four so far though.

I'd say 1>3>2>4, because the first might be smaller-scale but the Bridge Four plotline is straight kino the whole way through.

          Anonymous

Third was shit. Yes, Dalinar's backstory was decent but that's like 10% of the book. Everything set in the present was horrible. And then it ends with an overly long Avengers-esque battle. Pure trash.

            Anonymous

            >Avengers-esque
Yeah, that's what killed my interest in the series. Just too generic and trying to cling to the trends in popular media at the time. Didn't really bother with reading the 4th book.
