They don't want to move beyond helpmate; men just suck nowadays because they're atheists, which makes them less than women. If men were better and godlier women would have no problem being their helpers and also being the gods of the household, family, and social structure.

I got suckered into seeing a camrip of the Super Mario movie and it was just boring, on top of that it had like none of the wokeshit people were complaining about (Peach literally becomes a worthless damsel by the end of it and Mario becomes more competent as the movie progresses)
So tell me Cinemaphile: How good is the move REALLY? Does it have ANY interesting moments in it? Or is it really just "women good men bad" with nothing to actually carry the film?

being as ironic and millennial as it is, it's funny that the movie never acknowledges how everything it says about the pressures women feel in society, being attractive, being exceptional etc. is almost exactly what men feel, and women have not been compelled to feel for decades now. women are "powerful" because men are punished for trying to put them in their place by homosexual betas (not the 1950s anachronistic corporate board), and to solve that men should just like, find themselves bro. okay but now guys see the world ruled by men (or rather the idea of it) and it is heavenly, even the non-zogged barbies ended up liking it, and had to be convinced or rolled over by the old hag feminist comedian, who is obviously plotting against them since she is old, undesirable, and bitter. it encapsulates everything ugly about feminists and their ideology and wraps it up in a nice and neat marxist bow.

Any chance this will make the masses see just how fricking ludicrous society, its standards and outlook towards the sexes have gotten? The slippery slope has to run out of soapboxes at some point, right?

honestly I have no faith in any prediction I could make about my generation. I think millenials are done for, they are boomers 2.0 and are fully embracing that identity, zoomers are all over the place, the more ostracized regular people who reside in the overton window become, the more they become socially insular and radicalized, I have both witnessed and partaken in it. eventually we will be experiencing a Japanese-tier birth rate crisis, at least with whites.

Ive listened in to what some normie acquaintances and colleagues think whenever they see/hear an ad for the movie and it's just that holloywood is creatively bankrupt to make a barbie toy movie to try and mimic the success of lego...but without the soul. Even some of the more normie reviews of this movie have pointed out how much it rags on the patriarchy, while some other try to gaslight that thkse who dont like it are probably just far alt-right incels.

All things considered, this is the norm at this point. There was a movie last year called "women talking" that was just a misery porn oscarbait about women being repeatedly drugged and raped by evil men and it was so passe at that point that no one cared. It wasnt even original because the handmaid tale best them to misery porn rape fantasy by a few decades

                >All things considered, this is the norm at this point.
Truly a sad state of affairs. Even so, I'm surprised normies aren't just slurping this movie up. I genuinely didn't expect how normies and reviewers are pushing back against this obvious propaganda.

I never even heard of that movie being released. So many movies fall under the radar for me at this point. Not surprising most of them suck shit, like "women talking"

                >normies and reviewers are pushing back
Not exactly, it's mkre of an indifference than push back. It was relatively low budget for a summer blockbuster but being a family movie and named after a brand helps so it already earned its production budget(barring theater cost and advertising) back enough to break even...but views quickly drop after that

Indifference can be argued as the worst case scenario, as if everyone's being worn down until it's just "allowed to happen". You're mostly likely going to be right about the view dropping. I doubt Barbie will see any longevity at the box office.

Japan is about to undergo a mass death wave of old people (old people are already being lied about their current deceased status in order for the family to continue collecting benefits) on top of the birth crisis. I see my fellow whites undergoing that exact set of circumstances in the next two decades if we don't find a way to excise the way things are right now.

There's no difference between white birth rates in west and japan already. Japan being worse is a meme

Even if Japan's situation isn't worse per se, it's still not stable at all. Either way, it used to be having a stable population was desired and a good thing. The white birth rate literally doesn't matter in a nation without millions of trucked in migrants and Black folk. Now they're slowly becoming a minority in the US and it'll only get worse. Man the Barbie movie really is just a black mirror episode huh? Cinemaphile is right

        >let's make an icon out of the generic, ordinary, and unexceptional
it's a rejection of Barbie and Ken, what was originally supposed to be the ideal female and the ideal male. a fascist would hold (the idea of) these two in high regard, since they are the a superior model aesthetically and spiritually, whereas the communist subverted feminist authors of this piece of dogshit hate the idea of perfection and striving for anything and want to atomize the entire world into mediocre nothing.

this sounds like it was written by a woman. female fight club is literally women not being told they are wrong or to shut up, that's all your power fantasy is: narcissism.
there is no self to "find," you braindead marxist. people are not individuals free of influence from the people around them or the laws of nature, there is no core "you" that is free of actions beyond your control.

Figures an american would see a vapid neutered (literally) consumerist as the peak human form over an actual mother. No wonder chuds cant breed. Yeah if the opposite is communism ill take that.

the original barbie is a supermodel bimbo wife, girlfriend, whatever. she is supposed to be a sex symbol for little girls to model themselves after, and of course that's creepy, it was invented by a woman. embracing negative aesthetics, ugliness, mediocrity just gets you current society, like I said before, it's upholding a zeitgeist. but I mean if you are down for zog regardless of what I say then go frick yourself.

atomization, a result of libertarianism, liberalism, capitalism, leads to marxism. if the idea concludes to a specific result, it is an idea of that result thereafter, as you would have to willingly perpetuate it knowing where it will lead.
            > where you dumb Black folk getting they're individuals which is not how they behave.
because it's how they present themselves, as super unique individuals with all their little quirks, and they all have them, which of course makes them generic. it is a celebration of their mediocrity, but like always they return to the mean of their sex, which is democracy and collectivization, formalized endless female bickering and nonsense.

The forest for the trees in this whole debacle is that the west sold its soul for instant gratification. TV, vidya, porn, drugs, sexual freedom. The only freedoms you still have, are all centered around hedonism. Wana be a sexual degenerate drug addict? Wana be a porn addicted gaymer? Go right ahead. You dont have free speech, free press, freedom to bear arms, or financial freedom. Instead everyone is a debt slave consooomer of entertainment and cheap thrills. The average man is either a neet coomer playing vidya and smoking weed or a jester for women humiliating himself for their attention and validation while transfering his resources slowly to them. And then the woman goes and spends it all on stupid shit because they are also not immune from the hedonism. The only ones that win are the elites, capitalists, israelites, whatever you wana call them. The ones that control the capital flows and the information flows control the west.

                >. You dont have free speech, free press, freedom to bear arms, or financial freedom.

Are you European? I'm American and I have those freedoms.

I can join the KKK, become grand wizard and run for Congress on a total Black person death platform. David Duke was elected to the Lousiana state legislature in 1989. Robert Byrd stayed a congressman until his death in 2008 despite being former KKK. I can say anything short of making credible threats in America and I am legally protected. What I cannot do in America is force other private citizens or entities to listen to or promote my free speech because that would be infringing on their rights.

Same applies for free press. I can make just about any absurd claim until it infringes on the legal rights of others at which point they are free to make a civil claim against me to prove damages.

I can also start an unregistered anti-government militia in the United States. My militia can expressly exist for the purposes of taking the role of state government. I can hold military maneuvers with my militia on federal land.

The only financial freedom I am denied is the freedom to not pay taxes. I can move to a different state to take advantage of different tax schemes. Or if I do not want to give money to the US government at all I can rescind my status as an American citizen.

Free press doesnt exist anywhere. the reality is that everything that determines social consensus and opinion is owned by the select few who want the general populous to remain ignorant consumers hooked on hedonism

All women are prostitutes, its in their nature to spread their legs to men who conquer them and their people which is why women should never be leaders of anything.

Basically what happened 4000 years ago Bloody axe tribe kills all the men of the Shattered rock tribe steal their land kill their children, kill all the old women then assimilate all the child bearing women into their tribe.

These women always assimilate because its a biological drive to survive.

These ingrained behaviours determine and filter women's behaviour as their entire value to society is based around their ability to reproduce and take care of small children.

This is why Asian women in the west always want white wiener because women are biologically driven to seek out the most powerful males

How so? Wraslin cattle and camping under the stars ain't got nothing to do with a man's ass interior.

MGTOW isn’t about separating from women it’s about departing from women while constantly talking about how women are bad. If men want to go their own way, do it, just stop talking about women like a beta cuck onions boy.

Don't get me wrong I find the idea of MGTOW an unhealthy mindset but the very point of identity politics is it doesn't let you mind your own business, white privilege, toxic masculinity, you're a bad guy even if like most men you where minding your own business.

I would say the message is actually Men Going Their Own Way and literally forget women.

If anything this is a Gender Separatist movie that argues men and women are happiest and best off living separately with their own kind and mostly not even thinking about the existence of the opposite gender. Its ideal would be each person living alone in their own house with no one else and not dating.

The simple fact of the matter is that women like Gerwig can't possibly relate to average or below average men because they have zero clue what it's like to be undesired. Even an average woman will literally have men attracted to her no matter what she does. They think that being on your own for long periods of time is totally great and "finding yourself" because they've never actually known what it's like to be socially isolated in any meaningful sense. they almost always have boyfriends or have had them in the past or have large friend networks they can rely on to help them and go out and do stuff with them.

Motherhood is unironically one of the major themes of the movie. The two non-Barbie main characters are a mother and daughter. Barbie breaks down in tears after seeing mothers playing with their kids.
Hell, the intro sequence which /misc/ is raging over was meant to be creepy, and during it the narrator implies that Barbie didn't really fix shit.

    What is
    >feminity
    apart from having children?
Masculinity is building civilizations. Women are nothing without men, the only way feminity can be celebrated is by contrasting it to masculinity, whereas masculinity is virtuous by itself.
The ideal pinnacle of femininity is simply being a good partner to a man, i.e. a good wife and mother.

Women are, evolutionary, just a womb for the next generation. They have evolved customs and rituals as to be just a womb for a next generation. If their brains controlling their wombs on legs like to attack males, just allow them. Wombs on legs have many silly thoughts, most of which is about nursing the new generation (which is okay) and sometime it's about killing their own children (which is not okay, infanticide is bad).

Mostly, just allow them their fun, and when they try to kill their babies, show some spine and try to save them from killing their own babies. Women will hate you for that, at first, but then they'll respect you from preventing them from killing their own babies.

This is the wisdom of the age I'm granting you. I don't expect that wisdom to be understood, ot hailed.

I just finished it. Ken is shown to be able to completely have the Barbies under his thumb with little to no effort, has an ending where he realizes that he can be something important without women at all and Barbie ends up not liking the matriarchal barbieland where she could have everything and insteads opt to live in the patriarchal (as displayed by the movie) real world as a single, out of her prime woman. They even have the actress playing the new creator of barbie say at the end that the patriarchy is made up. I'm not seeing how this is feminist propaganda. If anything it ends with Barbie accepting that she'd be happier when women aren't in control of everything.

  33. 9 months ago
    Anonymous

I can't help but feel the movie was almost pro-patriarchy by the end of it, at least if you're a man watching the movie. Like, the Kens all exist as second-class citizens within Barbie Land and the Barbies don't seem to care at all about that, but when the Kens flip the script and they're in charge, suddenly it's not okay for one group to rule over the other? Sure, you can say "Well, it's Barbie Land, of course the Barbies are in charge", but they deny the Kens any sort of equality by the end of everything, so it's almost like it's saying... It's okay to enforce patriarchy because if women could enforce matriarchy they would put men in shitty positions without a second thought?
Honestly, I just wanted to see a saccharine comedy about Barbie and Ken, I didn't want this existential political nightmarescape that gets worse the more I think about it.

      Anonymous

I definitely got the impression that Barbies were way more cruel to the Kens than the other way around. In the perfect woman's world the laws of physics just give them everything they want, men are to be eye candy competing among themselves for attention and shunned away from society, and the girls still bicker and gossip among themselves.

Ken's meanwhile develop hobbies and they all just want a woman in their life who cares about them. When they fight, it's over women and they still come together once they realize how much fun they're having together. The Barbie's straight up exploit this to get power back. I guess the movie wants it to be a "gotcha moment" where it shows that women have to put up with all the "stupid" things guys like, but at no point do the Barbies try to have a healthy dialogue with their partner. The Kens genuinely believe that the Barbies like being in the patriarchy system and the main Ken is clearly upset and confused when it's not working. Even in the partriarchy it's about women.

The message is supposed to be "Ken should build a life for himself that doesn't really on Barbie's attention" but of course anything he does without them is just gross and childish.

        >The Kens genuinely believe that the Barbies like being in the patriarchy system and the main Ken is clearly upset and confused when it's not working
The Barbies even seemed to enjoy it, which was a strange road to take, until someone snapped them out of it. I feel like it muddies the message a little, especially that line about 'indiginious people having no defense against outside diseases'.

        >The message is supposed to be "Ken should build a life for himself that doesn't really on Barbie's attention" but of course anything he does without them is just gross and childish.
I don't think the fact that Ken's emotional revelation is played for laughs. I was trying my best to view the end sequence in a favourable light, but I couldn't help feel that everytime some piece of media claims to be pro-women, it also has to adopt a very anti-men stance alongside it, and I try my best to ignore that little brain-worm as best I can but, it keeps cropping up.
Overall I did enjoy the movie but, there are a few parts about it that kinda bothered me and I'm not sure they're parts that are even meant to be thought about that much.

          Anonymous

Ken's emotional revelation isn't played for laughs, my point was more than the movie spends an entire arc shitting on how men live and what their interests are, and then tells the audience that he needs to build a life without Barbie. But it's obviously just going to look exactly like Kendom but without the maid service.
It's part of why I struggle to view this film as man-hating - If that was the goal, it's bad at it. The women are annoying and unlikeable and the men are fun and sympathetic, but I get the impression a typical woman watching the film would get the exact opposite impression. It seems like a war of the sexes movie that tries to take the piss out of everyone

It's the latter, disguised as the former. It's a means of creating more dissent and anger amongst people, further dividing them in an effort to prevent them banding together to change anything that matters, all the while creating a feel-good attitude because it's empowering one class of people against another and righting wrongs that were inflicted upon them by society.
Nevermind the vast wealth inequality, nevermind the inept politicians who are in bed with corporations and business men who will fund both sides in a war if it means making profit or cut costs on safety features to line their pockets with a few extra cents. You gotta focus on what's important, which is that you're actually losing out on life because [person who is different from you but in the exact same position] is fricking around behind your back.

The claim that this movie is "man-hating" is so damned stupid. What it hates is the patriarchy, which ultimately hurts everyone and limits their potential. Of course the comfort and familiarity of being in a position of power relative to someone else will always be seductive. But your confidence in your own masculinity, your own worth, shouldn't ever be contingent on the external validation of a system that doesn't actually care about you or your needs as a person.

      >What it hates is the patriarchy
A patriarchy is a society in which men are considered the head of the family by default. We don't live in a society like that. Patriarchy in the feminist view is essentially "men doing anything and being attracted to women at all"

being as ironic and millennial as it is, it's funny that the movie never acknowledges how everything it says about the pressures women feel in society, being attractive, being exceptional etc. is almost exactly what men feel, and women have not been compelled to feel for decades now. women are "powerful" because men are punished for trying to put them in their place by homosexual betas (not the 1950s anachronistic corporate board), and to solve that men should just like, find themselves bro. okay but now guys see the world ruled by men (or rather the idea of it) and it is heavenly, even the non-zogged barbies ended up liking it, and had to be convinced or rolled over by the old hag feminist comedian, who is obviously plotting against them since she is old, undesirable, and bitter. it encapsulates everything ugly about feminists and their ideology and wraps it up in a nice and neat marxist bow.

Women's entire identity is tied to how men view them. They don't have personalities or hobbies. They have men. They don't build anything. They don't create anything. They don't think outside of the box. Even their political ideology is authored by a group of older White and israeli men. Every right that they "fought for" was actually fought for by men. Their entire view of the world and their own selves is entirely created by men. Even their rebuke of le patriarchy was written by men. The social media platforms that they use to espouse these male-authored views were also created by men. The entire corporate media industry that puts them on the pedestal... you guessed it. The anti-rape laws... men. #MeToo... men. New York Times... men. CNN... men.

This movie has other problems that what you idiots are seething about. Mainly thats it just an Elf remake. And Barbie doesn't have her own song which is weird. Ken is shown in a very positive light and the women pretty negatively. They hit at both sides even if the critique is kinda dumb at some parts. They're women ceo's for example.

    >women make a feminist movie

    >blacks make a pro-black movie
    >usually, it involves shitting on white people

Why are white males the only people who make make movies that don’t degrade other groups?
Seriously, when was the last time you watched a movie that openly degraded non-whites or women?

        >you being hyper-sensitive and incapable of taking a joke does not mean someone is "shitting" on you.

To expound on this for the autists in the crowd, often when meeting new people both parties acknowledge the awkwardness and break the ice with some gentle ribbing. An individuals reaction to someone gently poking fun at them lets you know if they are mentally stable and easy to get along with or a disturbed freak.

For example, maybe it's your first year of college and you are in the dining hall and from behind you hear someone say:

        >"Moooove b***h, get outta my way"
        >turn around and.... omg its a black person!!!!

the mentally disturbed freak immediately hears the disembodied voice ghost hitler whispering in his ear "ZE israeliteS LET IN ZE Black person! KILL ZE israelite! KILL ZE Black person!" and instead of doing anything, quiety leaves the dining hall, and spends the night throwing a temper tantrum on Cinemaphile

meanwhile the mentally stable individual has a few options:
        >recognize the line as lyrics from a ludacris song and bond over knowledge of the artist
        >playfully mimick the hyper masculine tough talk to diffuse the situation
        >reply with a joke about not getting into fights before you've eaten
        >etc...

for all the autists of Cinemaphile, let go of the bitterness and try to have fun next time someone pokes fun at you; you might make a friend for life.

If white people try to "rib" black people racially they risk being murdered. Whites are probably the least sensitive when it comes to this so save the gaslighting.

lol. the 1% of vocal sjw warrior freaks on twitter do not represent the other billion blacks. just like the blue haired feminists dont represent the other 3 billion women.

honestly most blacks ive met in their 20s or 30s have no desire to out with some patronizing leftist that walks on eggshells

Found something interesting about the creator of Barbie:

    >Early life
    >Handler was born Ruth Marianna Mosko in Denver, Colorado, to Polish-israeli immigrants Jacob Moskowicz, a blacksmith, and Ida Moskowicz, née Rubenstein.[6]

    >Following several investigations of producing fraudulent financial reports, Handler resigned from Mattel in 1974. Investigations continued after her resignation, and, in 1978, Handler was charged with fraud and false reporting to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. She pleaded no contest, and was fined $57,000 and sentenced to 2,500 hours of community service. She blamed her illness for making her "unfocused" on her business.

There’s a lot of funny stuff they could have done but didn’t because, contrary to how it was marketed, the movie isn’t a comedy and was first and foremost conceived as a whinging feminist soapbox lecture.

Barbie movie was based and redpilled and made for boys. It's full of eye candy, male characters have best scenes, they swag on the chicks and steal the show in every way. It had to brand as le feminist propaganda to get greenlight but this movie is a comedy for men by men in a mans mans mans world. Margot Robbie and the Barbies are sexy as frick and Ryan Gosling bringing patriarchy to their world and getting footrubs and beers from based bimbos was based. Hurr durr celebrating femininintity is a fricking midwit take. MANS MOVIE FOR MEN! The Barbarella of our era.

    >Ladies and gentlemen, gather 'round because I've just witnessed something truly spectacular! I am Grace Randolph, and I am beyond thrilled to share my thoughts on the incredible movie, Blue Beetle! From start to finish, Blue Beetle had me on the edge of my seat, captivated by its compelling storyline and exceptional characters. It was a rollercoaster of emotions that left me both exhilarated and moved.

    >First and foremost, the representation in this film was spot on! The fact that Blue Beetle is a Latinx superhero was celebrated with authenticity and respect, showcasing the importance of diverse voices in the superhero genre. It's a refreshing change to see characters that truly reflect our world and its rich tapestry of cultures. But let's not forget the action! Blue Beetle's powers were portrayed with jaw-dropping CGI and stunning choreography. The adrenaline-fueled sequences were a feast for the eyes, leaving me in awe of the visual spectacle on display. And beneath the action-packed surface, the heart of the film lies in its themes of family, friendship, and embracing one's heritage. These heartfelt elements gave the movie depth and made it more than just a superhero flick - it's a poignant exploration of identity and what it truly means to be a hero. The humor was on point too, adding levity to the story and keeping the audience engaged throughout. A perfect balance of wit and action is what makes a superhero film memorable, and Blue Beetle nailed it!

    >In conclusion, Blue Beetle is a triumph in representation, storytelling, and superhero cinema. It's a shining example of what the genre can achieve when it embraces diversity and tackles meaningful themes. It left me with a sense of awe and excitement, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to superhero fans and movie lovers alike. So, don't miss out on this gem of a film! Go grab your tickets now and prepare to be blown away by the thrilling and heartwarming journey of Blue Beetle!

I was laughing at the jokes because they attacked men in a funny way.
I've been laughing at the sigma shit since forever and seeing Ryan Gosling acting like Sam Hyde and Barbie having emotionnal breakdowns and being basically useless for the whole film felt like an accurate satire of the gender war.
I'm fine with feminist films, every voice should be heard, but my main gripe with those girl power movies have always been that they're not funny when they make fun of men, this is not the case for Barbie.

What I mean is I'm fine with a movie that tries to challenge my beliefs has long as the movie's good.
Most feminist shlop consists of a black women having a long monologue about muh civil rights and muh slavery and muh white men bad.
It was refreshing to see a girl power movie actually succed in making fun of men and being funny

Perhaps anon is simply enjoying the film for its absurdity, and he realizes the film is clearly not meant to be taken seriously at face value, or at all. The bar HAS been severely lowered for films since 2000, especially films of primarily female themes.

I'm fine with enjoying a movie for being stupid.
But I'm not going to pretend that the comedy is anything special.
You can find it funny all you want, but if it can be proven to be stale, then it should be pointed out.

I agree with that notion. I find the film a little disturbing on the meta-narrative level because of the implications of the events and actions within but outside of that I have no real notable remarks about it
