This is the current normal, don't worry. Almost anyone born in this millennia is the sad result of decades of a hard downwards trend.

Your parents failed you. I'm not making the same mistakes with mine. I'm probably old enough to be your dad, are you winning yet, son?

    >Ride a bike until I was 20
Any tips lad? I'm 22 and still haven't learnt. I'm scared of trying to learn and some kid or adult sees me fall over in the street and make a fool of myself.

Bikes are propelled by forward force, the faster you go forward the more impossible it becomes for you to fall over. You can only really topple down if you go super slow. So all you have to do is pick up speed and retain it no matter what

Don't try it alone. Have a friend help you or just in case you get hurt. If you don't have anybody, don't be ashamed to use training wheels until you figure out how it works.

I’m legit interested to know how fast an adult picks up cycling. My gut says you’ve learned how not to fall over after 30 minutes.

Practice in a private place with a close friend, use training wheels if you want to, then eventually you'll take them off and learn how to ride normally

Not sure where you're from, but in several places here in Sweden there's bike schools for adults. Maybe there's something similar in your area where you can be with adults who suck at bikes as much as you do, thus no reason to be ashamed

I rode up and down the canal (could ride perfectly fine when I was a teenager) until I picked it up again. lots of people laughed at me in my moron helmet and the fact I kept falling off but I got the hang of it.

You instinctively go in the direction you're looking, so if you're looking at the ground/wheels you're going to end up on the ground.

Kind of me, the most annoying part is I avoided goofing off in school and focused on the work and then failed all my exams anyway, I could have just fricked around instead or just stopped going into school entirely and nothing would have changed.
