>After nearly losing her life in a horrible car accident, Alexia has been living with a high-purity, medical-grade titanium alloy implant firmly fixed to her skull. And ten challenging years after her extensive cranioplasty, Alexia is now a silently violent go-go dancer at underground automotive shows. But life is unpredictable--instead of being put off by cars, Alexia has developed a bizarre fetishistic fascination with automobiles. In the meantime, as a spate of grisly homicides terrorises the city, fire chief Vincent unexpectedly reunites with his long-lost son, Adrien. But time changes people--after all, the boy has been missing for a decade. Without a doubt, everything has its time, and now it's time to draw the final curtain. Who is the bruised, taciturn stranger that demands a place in Vincent's tender heart?
What the frick, this actually sounds good. Is it really a women film?
This synopsis is technically true, but it hides one crucial element which will make it or break it for you. Alexia, the murderer and the boy are all the same character, this film talks like these events happen parallel to each other but they happen in a linear fashion, MC poses as Vincent's son to hide from police
I'm pretty sure it's a film about a woman being celebrated for being a prostitute and the film thinking it's edgy for having breasts

Because you didn't see it. Both stripping sequences are not empowering in tone at all, the focus of the film is her forming a connection with a father figure, and the film only has one sex scene which is fantastical in nature.

>for being a prostitute
But anon she only has sex with cars.
This movie made a bunch of letterboxd trannies seethe so it's at least decent by that metric.
Lindon's character was kino, so it's another 0.5 to the score, and the concept is off the wall insane which is another 0.5, giving it a 7/10.
My problem was that it doesn't really come together all that well, like there are great individual scenes but also like a third of the film is quite forgettable.
nah, I get the idea that the film sets up this background for Alexia and then it devolves into the psychological more or less, done through the Lindon's character, it's just I don't think Ducornau completely pulled off the drama, but there are definitely good moments there too. I also thought she didn't really go hard as she could've with the ending, even tho the score suggests something very intense.
The better half was written by a man. The reason its hard to understand ,is because the director wanted to add her fricking two sents in, completely ruining it.
no, i want to leave some scenes for Cinemaphileros to discover themselves. What shocked me the most about this movie was how hot the girl was initially and how ugly she became. Crazy make-up
Yes. I love kinos.

100% true. Titane is to men what Master and Commander: Far Side of the World is to women.
Honestly it's more that we don't give a shit.
>TIT
Oh I understand it all right.
Breasts
Name?

Still haven't seen it but the director's other movie Raw was very good.
I watched it once and deleted it immediately from my HDD. It made me call the fr*nch an abomination. May God have mercy on their souls.

Wby is she acting black
>acting black
Frenchies are obsessed with American culture that's all.
that's not acting black, it's acting stripper
Now I get why Movie Bob loves this movie so much.
Man here, what did i miss?
Nothing, just women being 'courageous bawds'
Treating your body like a piece of meat is intellectual
Women have no brain, and this thread is evidence. All they do is pollute their wombs and destroy civilization.
Titane is a movie about a serial killer flcar fetishist stripper getting salvation through forming a familial bond and dying during childbirth.

The first half is completely different from the latter half. Feels like two different movies that were sandwiched together in post-production.

In a just world both women and the french would be regularly burned at the stake
Hating French people is peak reddit.
