Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon. Did many Ocarina of Time things before Ocarina of Time came out. 8/10, loses points for its non existent camera
Goemons Great Adventure is almost perfect for a 2.5D platformer.
    Why did this series die?

Too Japanese for Western audiences, too generic for Japanese audiences.

The N64 game was weird. I just remember walking through a forest and suddenly I'm in a giant mech or something shooting at flying enemies. It's been nearly 30 years so memory's fuzzy.

The N64 game makes no sense as a kid. As an adult, you realize what's happening is the villains of the game is trying to turn the world into a stage play, that's why there's a laugh track during the dialogue scenes. It's fricking weird but it has amazing atmosphere and music which helps bump it up a few points

It was only a rental for me, but it certainly left an impression on kid me back then. This was when fully 3D games were still novel. There was a sense of wonder and excitement of exploration. But like I said, I barely remember anything except running through a village, then in some forest and then some mech. I think there was a giant tower before you get to the mech?

Colors are an emergent property arising from the interaction of an objects microscopic surface patterns, light, and our optic system.

      >Colors are an emergent property

      So they don't physically exist.

Yeah they do, just not as properties of single atoms.

Why does red, green and blue take up so much space while yellow and cyan and stuff are merely a thing stripe on that graph?

oh yeah ? then why :
    carbon is black
    oxygen is white
    hydrogen is blue
    nitrogen is red

      >then why
Exactly. WHY? Atoms don't have colours. Colour shouldn't exist.

I was just shitposting but in all seriousness colors and time are just made up concept of our brains, we're not even sure that the way we perceive things are the same we just verbally agree that what we see is what it is.
for exemple I'm not even sure that my blue is the same as your blue, you could be seeing what I'd consider red but since we both call it blue, we agree on that what we see is blue.

There’s sight variation, but nothing as extreme as that, which is because the color depends on the wavelengths of light that are emitted or reflected by an object, so the wavelengths entering each of our eyes would be identical.

I remember figuring it out on my own, at ~7-10 years old, but 20 years later entire internet speaks abut it.

It's my understanding that he's some sort of modern day take on a Japanese folk hero based largely on Kabuki theater and combining more contemporary aspects of Japanese culture like mecha and anime tropes. But I hardly played the games so I could be off.

It's a weird game. Probably would have sold better if the protagonist had a sword and shield instead of gold Goins and a tobacco pipe

This game fricked with me while growing up because I never knew the name of it but whenever I'd talk to people about it, describing what it looked like they thought I was on drugs. Hell even the biggest vidya nerds I knew in school had absolutely no clue as to what I was talking about. I must've been the only kid in the bible belt who played this growing up and I didn't even get to play it for long as it was a rental from my uncles tiny video store that he ran out of a gas station in the sticks. I'm so glad AND angry that I have finally seen this little opium pipe chucking fricker again after twenty years.
