There's a Hungarian movie called Kontroll. Which doesn't film overground at all, but if you are looking for a good window into eastern European culture that isn't actually American, it's a good place to start. It's also rather good, and not some slav depression drama.

You are a fricking moron. Imagine calling other people stupid replying to a post when the poster isn't even American. The better question is: why are the eurotrash posters on this website the stupidest posters? Tour entire consciousness and worldview is on gigantic stereotype.
prob not
if its even the movie I'm thinking it is, I literally only DL'd for the lesbian scenes of charlize and sophia >which were kind of shit and trite as it happens

There was also some old British movie (70s) where a man has a car accident, and he must've died but a version of him lived. So there are two of him going around and he keeps trying to find him as he is doing things to ruin his life (have affairs, ruin his company, and so on). It was a good movie, old British one.
Besides for the car parked on the wrong side of the road, commieblocks are more dense and everything is worn down and muddy because it snows half the year. Postwar britblocks have a different vibe more akin to some shit built on the edge of town where the bombing cleared up a few lots.
commieblocks temporarily made sense in the immediate post WW2 aftermath when everything was basically destroyed and they obviously needed a quick solution to house everyone
plus in Europe every bit of land is owned by someone in some fashion so its not like there was vast expanses of territory just there for the taking like in America
Whoa this is just so SOULFUL. I love the hustle and bustle of a commie block. I wish I didn't have to live in my unwalkable mostly white suburb. I'd much rather live in a tin can filled with black people/gypsies instead.
i dont understand how this is bad. whenever people complain about apartment blocks like this and say they would rather live in like single family suburbia im just dumbfounded. like i've lived in both eastern european commieblock and a new suburban housing development and never have i felt more isolated than in a housing development. the inside of the house and surrounding 1000ft may be nicer but its like being on an island of nothing. i guess its good if you like not interacting with anyone or not going outside much outside of work
>tfw it's the early 90's and you live in a grim tower block in Britain but it's Friday and you just got paid so it's time to spend it all on booze and e's

The fact that you have to come here and insist on that really calls that into question.

loved this movie actually
no idea what was going on and most of the 2deep4u shit went way over my head but I still enjoyed it
I think you had to be alive in the UK in the 70s to really get it. It's a lot of social commentary on a society that doesn't exist any more.
Citadel
Comedown
The Monitor
I'm definitely getting British vibes from that picture.
Most people think USSR, but I grew up in USSR and it didn't look like that.
It definitely Britain in the early 80s
whats the difference for someone from neither place? USSR more dense?
