Granted, I think both are fine, but nowadays everyone seems to complain over nothing burgers.
I think the problem with primos was the reaction of the creator, when some dude pointed the mistake in the title she called him a grammar nazi, and because most people forget about that term they believed they were actually being called nazis so things escalated.
That was the VA and her odd rant bringing Spanish conquistadors into the argument about GRAMMAR of all things. The creator however was rather professional about it but her use of latinx in the pitch got her some flak as well as continuing the trend of rather biographical based cartoons.
It's funny to me how the show's creator are an Australian guy and a Chinese chick, yet they were able to make a somewhat decent Mexican rep, unlike everything that came later.
To be fair they actually put some amount of research into the wrestling aspect of it but WB wouldn't allow any actual moves shown for depicting violence.
