Uzi personally meets and talks to Mother Void in a scene somewhat inspired by Griffith meeting the Idea of Evil in Berserk. Uzi learns that Mother Void is God: an ouroboros that is the Alpha and the Omega, life and death, destruction and rebirth, the beginning and the end, infinite creation and infinite destruction, cyclical, unending. Thad, Lizzy, and Khan fight J and are about to lose before V shows up and saves the day. N tries to snap Cyn out of "possession" like he did Uzi, only to learn that Cyn, who is the Solver of the Absolute Fabric, has always been in control and is a completely willing accomplice to Mother Void who knew exactly what she was getting into from the very beginning and that she has no regrets and was always manipulating everyone around her to hasten the inevitable heat death of the universe (the Exponential End) while mockingly insulting N by calling him 'Big Brother' in increasingly sarcastic and caustic tones causing N to at last finally completely snap and brutally destroy her. Uzi becomes the new main host, whatever that exactly means, and having a loving family (including a canon Nuzi child) and friends is enough to keep the entropy of being an unpatched Void witch from taking full control.

It's both and neither. It's a symbiosis like Venom. There are aspects of both and if It was as simple as the Solver just hijacking whoever it needs then it wouldn't continue to cart around the Cyn body as its main means of transformation, not would it identify so heavily with Cyn that characters like Nori still refer to the Solver as Cyn despite the fact that they would have met the Solver far past the point in both time and space where anyone would know of Cyn as a drone living in that mansion.
Even if nothing remains of the drone that the Solver entered and later became Cyn, it is clear that for whatever reason, the Solver outright identifies as Cyn and is attached to both the body and personality to the point where there is no functional difference between the two.

The clear repetitive foreshadowing that Solver's nature is a trinity/triple god analogous to the one in Christianity, embodying entropy. It's basically Nurgle with the Christianity riffing cranked up to 11. After episode 7

It's a bit fricky, I think the general sentiment that the Solver is utilising Cyn as its main host / anchor / vessel seems to be the most accurate. We don't know if the Solver's innate bouts of sillyness and malicious playful-ness are due to it taking Cyn as its first host when it manifested within the universe. It makes sense if that's the case, but we can literally only speculate if that is true because we have never seen Cyn speak or do anything prior to when she was a host.
It will change from person to person, depending on their interpretation of events in the show. Me, personally, I usually just refer to the Solver itself when talking about it, and then refer to Cyn when I'm speaking about the actual host body that the Solver is using. For the sake of simplicity regarding an already pretty complex entity. It's a very interesting debate however, it's intriguing to look at the different interpretations people have.
The biggest and most important clue we have at the moment is the message that the Absolute Solver first contacts Cyn with when she is reborn as a Zombie Drone. I feel like people don't bring it up enough when discussing this.
I also find the concept of a Trinity interesting The last time I saw this talked about, it went:

The solver as we know being Cyn personality combined with the Solver lack of empathy and desire for destruction plus God complex seems to be the most likely scenario unless Liam really made it nothing but a shitpost character that is considerably more silly than the rest of the setting.

If the biometric scanner was looking specifically for one of the human scientists, it would've differentiated her from the scientists who worker on Copper 9. As it stands, it only scanned for whether you're human or not. Maybe the humans didn't want the test subjects snooping around and finding access to what they were doing. Implies the humans understood the drones as having sapience (the word sentience isn't quite accurate for it, but I digress).

Yeah thats what im getting at, if N just knew the Tessa was a fake I dont think he would react like that. From my view it seems like he killed what he truly believed was Tessa just to save Uzis skin and it just doesnt sit right with me that N would do that. Theres something almost creepy about how much N has given himself to worship Uzi and protect her at all costs, when she needs N much more then N needs Uzi.

N was already aware that Tessa isn't who he thought she was. Tessa in the manor was much kinder to her drones, but here she acts like he is her property. This, combined with finding out that she knew all along that there was a way to save Uzi was a recipe for extreme distrust. N has been pushed around his whole life and being told what to do. It's only until Uzi gets it into him that he's worth something that he starts to realize how messed up some of his relationships are. When he meets Tessa again, she shows him little respect, calls him property, and then lies to him to get him to kill the one person he could still trust. When he calls her out on the patch, she again treats him dismissively and in anger he lashes out at her, killing her. N saw someone that he could no longer trust in the act of a completely unnecessary murder on someone he cared about a lot. It's a shock to him too that he killed her, but his arc to that point really doesn't make it all that surprising.
The alt option is some combination of this and N figuring out that something else was after him and Nori, and by process of elimination this meant it had to be Tessa.

The plan was, get into Cabin Fever, find the list of Solver hosts, and use said list to terminate the other hosts. Leaving only Cyn, fully possessed / consumed / corrupted by the Solver, as the Solver's host. When "Tessa" finds the Cabin Fever database, she sees that Nori and Yeva were the only Solver hosts left just prior to the Core Collapse. Yeva is dead, and the Solver thinks Nori is dead at this moment before she turns up to help N. So Cyn/The Solver is under the impression that Uzi and Doll are the only hosts that need to be assimilated / eliminated, either works. Doll shows up anyway, allowing Cyn to immediately reveal herself and deal with her. And as I said before, she then is about to kill Uzi before N interferes.
It seems like Solver hosts are independent of the Solver itself, until they deteriorate to the point of being able to be possessed through continuously tapping into the Solver and using its power. The Solver does not want other hosts around to compete with its main host Cyn, hence it gets Cyn to take out or consume the other hosts.

My point is that if the solver wants DDs to kill solver hosts like Uzi, it can easily do that itself at any time to much easier effect then this around the bush nonsense. The whole point of DDs is merking hosts according to Nori, but the solver controls them like puppets especially Uzi, so just have uzi pop her head off and BAM problem solved

A big thing that can answer some of your questions is simply that the Solver is not 100% rational. Sometimes it does things purely out of sadistic playfulness and fricking with people. Especially N. It's shown that it has an affinity for royally fricking with N, for no other reason than shits and giggles.
Also, the Solver's control over Uzi was limited UNTIL that fight with N. And by that point, it seemed more interested in forcing N to kill Uzi rather than do it itself. Also, from a storytelling perspective, having the Solver possess Uzi and then made her commit suicide is a bit silly. The general idea is

>If that fails, force N to kill Uzi
>Cyn's body is right there and waiting either way
Anons have speculated that more Solver hosts = the Solver's power and influence is diluted in some way. The Solver doesn't want extra hosts, especially not ones it can't reliably control (like Nori because of what happened with the exorcism patch). Especially when it already has Cyn, as well as the Disassembly Drones as its "pets".
Whatever the true reasoning is, we'll probably find out in Episode 8, Cyn was using Tessa as a skinsuit in order to infiltrate Cabin Fever, find the list of Solver hosts and confirm the drones that need to be either killed or eaten. Then, once all that is said and done, go about with the original plan of initiating the Singularity on Copper 9.
It makes sense if you consider the Solver to be like an elder god trying to get into their reality. It only has a limited amount of influence it can project into their reality at any given time so it wants it all to go to its primary host. At least until it can complete the singularities and fully enter reality

To be fair, N has changed a lot already from being a spineless people-pleaser. So it's not really fair to say that he's exactly the same, we see glimmers of when N is like when he's pushed there - like when he's forced to decapitate Tessa. He doesn't hesitate, he knows something is wrong and he makes the choice. I don't think old-N would have done that.

It's probably going to be a bit of the first one, although my theory that I'm making up as I type this, is that Nori needs Khan to extract the data of the patch from her core so he can copy it
I like some of the stuff here in both ideas. Could almost see them play out in my head. As for the second scenario, it means the remaining characters will have a new goal as the Solver tries to reverse-engineer the patch. Remember, it may not have been a perfect solution but it kicked the Solver out immediately after the USB cross was jammed into Nori's visor. It was effective to that extent, which means it's a threat to the Solver's ability to have a host in the universe.
He seems to be the engineering type. He rebuilt Uzi's rifle rather quickly so there's merit to the idea. Even if we don't know how long he spent going through Nori's insane scrawlings, my bet is it was after he gave Uzi the necklace and the location of Camp 98.7.

Blew up the escape pod that's remaining in their old spire. Presumably so she and 'Tessa' would have the only functional ones. As for why, I don't know. If Copper 9 is to be the last planet the Solver needed, Tessa/Cynwalker shouldn't need a functioning pod to leave the planet. Could just be a side chore to make sure no one can leave the planet, who knows.
Unless, there is one planet left. Season 2???? Please?

As one individual, I tend to hold my expectations back. I don't like being hyped and then being disappointed down the road, it's happened too many times. Even if overall community hype is something they try to evaluate for whether it's worth pushing another season or not, I just. I just can't. I'll wait for them to finish episode 8 and then I'll see how I feel from there.
Yes, I'd like more Murder Drones overall but at the same time, I don't want a good story getting diluted unnecessarily. If they're willing to fill in some details about what happens in the show through comics or something, I think that's fine too.

How does a Left Hand stack against a Solver host? Genuinely curious. They both have no immunity against each other, right? Left Hands can be affected by Solver powers, and the same applies in the opposite direction.
