How is this fandom even REMOTELY dead? We have a pipeline for brand new episodes coming, Murder Drones is getting more and more views every single day, Drone merch continues to be sold out and more and more people are watching funny drone show, if anything I think we're finally starting to really grow as a community into some sort of recognizability. Besides, roboautism remains strong for years, if Jenny from MLAATR STILL gets talked about and put into games to this day, then I wouldn't be shocked to see that dronetism will stay strong for years to come.
Well I thought the same when I watched the video, but as he talked about all these ship wars, doxxing, UTTP or whatever these morons are called and how MD got completely overshadowed by TADC and basically half of the fandom left, it made me realize that everything he said was mostly true and that the huge damage was already done and Glitch purposefully delayed new episodes because they see us as lost cause and just want to make other more profitable projects like some people tell them.
But at the same time I noticed that a lot of new fans came in after the TADC became a thing and it did create some growth and merch is still occasioanly sold out and more fanart and fics are made. Fandom is both pretty active both here on Cinemaphile and on reddit and other sites so I wanted to ask what you guys think about it, because my feelings are really messy rn.

It has various character designs that are much more palatable for artists to draw and make a variety of content in compared to the more story focused, more seriously toned MD. It's like being concerned that a Katy Perry concert is getting more tickets than an up and coming rock band. They both have their audiences and both are steadily successful in their own ways. There's also the fact that TADC is their newest show, of course they people to know it exists. Episode 2 got passed by Episodes 3 and 4 months ago.
Episode 6 has recently passed Episode 5.
The lead time between beginning production on an episode and its release is ~six months to a year. They weren't going to make the implicit "every 2-3 months" even before TADC released. And given how expensive this thing is to make, they're not going to just shelve what they have on it, or push it back, which would cause issues up and down their production pipeline. Reminder that even now, there isn't so much as a prospective season for release of the next TADC episodes.

We really don't know the extent of humanity's stellar empire to begin with. All we can say at the moment is that the Solver has "solved" earth and three other planetary systems at this point. No way of knowing if that's a lot or a little.
Tessa's armband has a patch representing all of Humanity's colonised systems, with circle in the center representing Earth. All of them are crossed out except for one, meaning the Absolute Solver has [null]'d and consumed every other Human-colonised system except for one. This final system could either be the system of Copper 9, or an as-yet unknown system that haan't been taken by the Solver yet and is Humanity's final bastion.
So, two possibilities.

Copper 9 was only partially destroyed by the Core Collapse (which may have been done intentionally by the Humans in order to delay the Solver once Nori fell ton the Solver conpletely and escaped, we don't know) and thus was never considered [null]'d or lost, thus it isn't crossed off on Tessa's armband. While all the other systems have fallen, which is why Tessa came to Copper 9.

How likely is it that anyone could actually escape an end-of-the-world scenario that involves a black hole swallowing the planet, preceded I guess by large formations of disassembly drones "clearing the drop zone of life"? Seems like everyone would be pretty fricked in that scenario.

I'm trying to think of an escape scenario that doesn't hinge on improbable luck or having audience clairvoyance and I'm coming up short. You'd kind of need to know that your world was irrevocably doomed the minute a pod full of DD's landed and just immediately pack a bag and head for the stars in order to avoid the worst of it. And that's just not realistic, things aren't going to devolve into complete anarchy and you can just hailmary off into the dark between the stars willy nilly, and despite what we may tell ourselves, no one actually "does the smart thing" and runs away at the first sign of trouble because no one actually assumes they live in a world that runs on trope logic. The other option is to escape the world as it's being consumed and everything has broken dkwn, which is hard as Hell in its own because early on, you'll be dodging DD death squads, and late in the game, you'll be trying to escape the pull of some kind of eldritch wormhole that's literally draining oceans and cracking continents like china cups.

I think you're forgetting that, from what we've currently seen, the Absolute Solver doesn't really give a shit about Humanity collectively. It wants the Worker Drones, or more specifically their corpses / material / cores. Humanity just happens to be in the way of that. Humans being wiped out on Copper 9 is irrelevant considering there is still a functional Worker Drone population after the Core Collapse (which again, may have been intentionally done by the humans in order to delay the Solver in taking the planet) and the Solver itself in the Episode 7 and 8 teaser says that it wants the planet.

Theoretically there could be human planets with drone pops too small to matter
To be honest, if seems like Workee Drones were used throughout all aspects of human society extremely heavily, making humans practically entirely rely upon their labour - so Worker Drones are literally everywhere on all Human colonies. This is a society where rich buttholes on Earth could lounge around in their Victorian-era posh dress-up LARP while their cheap slave robots that they can carelessly and endlessly replace do literally all of the work for them. And this extends to all aspects of society, including exoplanet mining
Plus, this fits with the theme of Humanity's hubris leading to their downfall. Humans willingly and foolishly messed with forces they didn't understand when creating the Worker Drones, and then made their entire society heavily rely upon these Worker Drones while mass-producing and spreading them out across all of inhabited space - unintentionally giving a greater evil potential backdoor access through any of its unwilling "puppets" that are now spread out across all human worlds.

I swing back and forth on that subject. The AS has definitely sucked a few planets into the void at this point, but it clearly has rules it can't break and limits it can't exceed. It NEEDS something hidden down in those labs to further its goals, and yet for all its power, the best it can muster to get said macguffin is to throw 3-robot squads of disassembly drones at the problem and hope that this one is the one that will actually make it past the sentinels. It's not unstoppable, we just have a piss-poor understanding of it and how it might be stopped
An anon in a previous thread posited that, after the Disassembly Drones on Copper 9 completed their spires, the Solver intentionally threw them at Cabin Fever Labs knowing full well they would get torn apart by the Sentinels. However it was banking on this happening, as all the dead DD's Solver-corrupted cores would then inevitably start forming Solverpedes and give the Solver personal control over a frick load of Solverpedes to overwhelm the labs. What the Solver didn't expect was Alice, and her scooping up the DDs cores and preventing them from activating by putting them in an oven.

..Unfortunately she's "dead" and a Sentinel destroyed the oven she was keeping the cores in when it killed Beau. The Solverpede hands grabbing N in the teaser is likely one of the now-released cores.

Wait, is there any reason to assume that Alice wasn't consciously and deliberately holding back the tide of disassembly drones/solverpedes? She clearly knew a lot more about the situation than she got to spill to the main characters before she was unceremoniously dispatched. Seems kind of stupid to still be living in a raptor infested hellhole after you've figured out a reliable way to outmaneuver said raptors and escape to the surface.
Alice witnessed Nori's Solver-possesses rampage through Cabin Fever, and she must have observed the first Disassembly Drones attempt to break into the labs and come into contact with the Sentinels. She very likely knows SOMETHING fricked up is going on, and she very likely observed one of the Disassembly Drone cores going into Matter-Collection mode before she started harvesting the cores from any DDs killed by the Sentinels to contain them - which is why there is possibly a Solverpede still skulking about that was spooking Uzi and projecting holograms back in Episode 4 which takes place in the surface cabins of the Cabin Fever Labs area. Alice also says to Uzi that she's dealt with "witches" before too, apparently excluding Nori.
Frick, I didn't even do the math there. I assumed the little glimpse of a solverpede we got in Cabin Fever was somehow related to Eldritch J, but that doesn't scan. That thing got blown to bits and reduced to a disembodied singularity-soul-thing, without even a core to house it. If it was already in matter collection mode, it couldn't have made a new body after that. Some third-party solverpede skulking around would make sense.

Even the term "surface-slickers" implies that there's been contact or at least awareness between Alice and some surface population.
It's completely possible she didn't think there was anything on the surface worth moving there for, especially as it would be an unknown, uncontrolled environment infested with disassembly drones. With the doors and cameras, she basically nullified the Sentinel threat to herself, and was even able to make them into a sort of guard force for herself. She also really wanted DD parts, and was in the literal best location on or under Copper-9 to acquire them, along with the tools/facilities to install them.

I genuinely hope Liam knows what he has done by adding Alice, all that backstory that is still entirely based on canon evidence making her one of the best (imo THE best) characters. He should NOT zhrow her away like this
NTA, but I also saw that way and am thinking, maybe Alice knew what she was doing to some degree?
Of course the priority was to avoid Solverpedes, but look at it this way:
Alice clearly has some kind of solver connection as can be seen in pic rel, the Oilsmears on the wall are probably all drawn by her, I believe she experienced something like Nori later had when she was with Khan, "visions" of some sort. Nothing concrete like the DD's coming because they likely weren't made yet at that point (assuming the CFL era is after AS destroying earth/at the time dealing with another one of the colonies), but the solver nonetheless, and it evidently took a toll on her. Somehow Alice did not have Solver powers, but not every zombie drone has them after all, what is unusual and hard to figure out precisely with current info is how she had the connection only (which maybe disappeared later(?))
Now we don't know how long she was in the labs alone (w/Beau ofc) until the first DD's came down, likely long enough to be experienced with reusing drone parts already, so I think that when she scavenged the first DD's bodies she must have either known what the cores were going to do, due to "visions"(AS was likely only in space (don't ask me how it went on after consuming earth idk)/or winning on other worlds so she saw Solverpedes there), or there was a Solverpede "developing" already, though that one feels unlikely since as we saw in episode 2 they get very big very fast. But the conditions in the labs were different, a pede couldn't catch much WD since dead bodies are mostly in Alice's area (assuming J in 2 got Frank mostly from surprise/cause Frank is unskilled/ and got to combat capable size only after catching the other workers, which would make a "starved" pede smaller and weaker) so perhaps it got defeated by Sentinels with the core running off and eventually being caught and tested until Alice found out how she could diable them.

There is a Solverpede squirming about up on the surface of Cabin Fever Labs, it shows up in Episode 4 at multiple points. It projects a hologram of a young Tessa to Uzi, and you can see its hands slinking around at multiple points. This has to be from one of the DD cores from the corpses down in Cabin Fever proper, from before Alice started capturing them and putting them in the oven.

You can see Doll's eyes reflecting in the monitor infront of N just before the Tape shows up, it was clearly planted there by Doll for N to find.
That would also explain Alice's knowledge about the Solverpedes, having seen one in action and where it came from, either through cameras or by herself.
Seeing that many others also believe in the idea of Alice intentionally deciding to stay and keep the Solver back makes episode 6 even more tragic, the protags and Alice seemingly have the same overall goal of fighting of the Solver. I can still imagine that if Uzi wouldn't have bit her finger off (WHY) and then acted as if she dindu nuffin they could have found some common ground, Alice never got to know why Uzi and the others were there, from her view it was just another DD squad with a witch, who turned out as Nori's kid and behaved like that.
Real shame, I don't know if Alice would have believed them, especially considering that she would put her and Beau's life at risk by freeing them, but it would have been great still. Only that I do not trust Tessa at all. V wouldn't be an imminent danger, though she should not be freed first, Uzi is normaly quite reasonable and humane (that's why the finger bite is so strange, Uzi talked before and continued talking to Alice afterwards, I just don't get why she did it). N would not be a worry initialy, also considering he hsdn't seen the scissor scene/it never happened in that scenario.
Still, Tessa remains and I gotta admit I don't trust her in the slightest, even if she is herself and not an impostor she showed no hesitance to kill innocents, considering she would see Alice as potential Solver risk I can't see any way eith Tessa not attempting to kill Alice as soon as she has a chance.

That's part of the horror, Anon. Everyone, even the most monstrous of them, was not too long ago a perfectly nice person who probably would have been quite easy to get along with, and then they were thrust into a nightmare scenario they didn't deserve by forces they didn't understand, and it broke them and remade them anew.
Either way, this is part of why I think Alice did absolutely nothing wrong and may evrn be one of the most heroic characters in MD yet (also why seeing Youtube idiots wailing about her "selfishness"/"cruelty"/"sadism" frustrates me beyond measure), since she and Beau were the one thing that kept the AS from victory on Copper-9 for nearly twenty years! Even the protags (Tessa/N/Uzi/V) were all easily ambushed and knocked out in short time, Alice only mistake was leaving anyone alive/talking zo Uzi, though it is understandable after all the time that another WD is "welcome". In the end the Solver's direct intervention through Uzi was the decisive (and only) thing that turned the outcome of the fight.
It is a long post, but I had that theory in mind for a long time already, so figure I would post what I have yet at zhe first opportunity. Hope I didn't forget/repeat anything, typing this out took in a understandable way near 30 minutes, hope it is interesting!

Basically the entire story behind this was that a couple of anons believe the person who made this use actual human bones in order to make this doll. Which grew more concerning when they try to reverse image it. No results but the person who made this of course noted that it isn't actually made from human bones but from stuff from a store and those skeletons decorations on halloween,(if I can recall). Which was quickly noted by the different shades and structures of the bones. Currently they run a doll thing using a better model skeleton using better material. Don't remember the person named though but oh well

I've been here since the show first started, when there were only a few very short-lived threads early on. I always find it entertaining watching the full weight of everything crush down on people in these threads. Not making fun of you, it's just nice seeing people invested I guess.
This show does a great job of making you really care about the characters and what's REALLY going on when you get deep into it. I think pretty much everyone has that "Oh shit" moment where it all clicks together at once. That sort of thing tended to happen a lot pre- and post-Episode 5.
