You're just mad you never had kino like this a your school

No one does though
If only it was thou
The musical episode of Buffy is easily in the top 5 in the series. You're just stupid.
Today actually.
Vincente Minnelli's musicals are pretty good
Also:
Umbrellas of Cherbourg
Young Girls of Rochefort
Guys and Dolls
Anything with Fred Astair
It's a lost art though. Hollywood forgot how to make a good musical.
every time i get mad i put on sum 41 and start smashing things while singing along
I liked La La Land
La La Land did a good job at blending an old school musical style and more modern film-making. Was very impressed.
Listening to the soundtrack after watching the movie for the first time. Lovely movie. Made me cry a couple times, I wish I could fall in love with someone again
Was it kino? I generally fricking hate NY/LA porn movies but I've heard very good things about it and like the cast and aesthetic.
>Was it kino?
It has good music and I found it really affecting, and the ending fantastic. Definitely the best "nod to old hollywood in modern style" type movies I've seen.
Interesting coming from Cinemaphile who usually shit and rape movies like this hard, definitely putting it on the list
I'd rather just watch an old musical
Yeah it's great
I didn't like it much, the only thing that feels like a real musical is the starting song then it devolves into Hollywood wank/romance slop without any fun pieces
the red shirt bothers me
What other shirts you got
I think you look swell with all of them, not sure about that expression though. You should smile more
Now that's a red flag
I'm outta here
>When was the last time this happened in real life?
Every time I am cooking.
I dont think Ive ever seen a truly good musical, yeah Charlie and the Chocolate factory is good but besides 2 songs thats despite the music. Never saw Singin in the Rain though
>Musicals are the dumbest type of movie
no
some are legit masterpieces
`
Speaking of which, I've made it a tradition to watch picrel
Wrong
>muh realism
filtered
i bet you're the sort of guy who complains about scientific accuracy too you dumb nerd
>movie isn't a musical
>suddenly there's one (1) musical number for no discernable reason
>everyone just goes back to acting like normal for the rest of the movie like nothing happened
>Captain America
That was actually in-universe, so no.
Do musical numbers not typically take place in-universe? Except for dream sequences or hallucinations like the Scrubs musical episode.
I meant the captain america performance was him actually performing a musical on-stage in front of other characters in the film, it was staged. it was not captain america realising his true goal and singing out of emotion.
>captain america realising his true goal and singing out of emotion.
Now this I want to see in a Cap movie, not Joker
this is gonna blow your mind but art doesn’t need to be realistic
who cares its fricking kino I love musicals (as long as the songs are good)
The movie is proof it happens in real life
my sister sang her I want song at 11 and my brother at 16, I barely scraped by at 22
