What is considered the last good season of the Simpsons. I’ve been watching it for the first time so far and it’s been great, on Season 4, haven’t noticed a decline yet. Is a steep decline or gradual?
Davis&Main > Schweikart & Cokely > HHM as much as it pains me to say it. Cliff is as good as you can get in the way of bosses and Rich wasn't half bad either. Howie was a good man but I wouldn't want to be his subordinate
Davis and Main had the coolest office. Also Jimmy got a Merc so that's pretty sweet.
But Davis and Main is in Santa Fe right? And ABQ is probably a better place to live, more stuff going on, more people to meet. So on that basis maybe HHM or S&C would be better.
I'm not a lawyer though so I guess it's irrelevant.
whats the latest on the gene arc? i stopped watching a few eps ago because the main story is dead but i wanna know what happens to gene because he feels more like a BB character than a BCS nerd
In a different show where the cartel stuff is the main conflict, Lalo makes it back to Mexico with the proof, Gus survives through some contrivance, and the next season is the Gus vs. cartel war, and Gus somehow manages to weasel his way out of it
would've been a cool inflexion if we had this really close call with nacho finally finishing with him getting vacuumed ep. 3 or so >ONLY for him to return in episode 9 when wherever he is he somehow gets a call from mike who tells him that the hit set out for his father was way above him and that he tried the most, "but you've still got time kid" *click*.
And then Nacho comes back, dies, but saves Papa Varga
In BCS she directed >Mijo >Breathe
In Breaking Bad she directed >4 Days Out >I.F.T. >One Minute >Abiquiu >Thirty-Eight Snub >Shotgun >Salud >Madrigal >Gliding All Over >Buried >To'hajiilee
What a track record. This woman sure does love violence.
Sadly, people don't pay attention to directors who do tv, even if they're god tier at their jobs. Or writers for that matter.
The Bravo Vince meme is funny but there are people that really don't know the names of anyone else involved in the shows creation

In Breaking Bad she directed >4 Days Out >I.F.T. >One Minute >Abiquiu >Thirty-Eight Snub >Shotgun >Salud >Madrigal >Gliding All Over >Buried >To'hajiilee

What do the "Written by" credits even mean? I'm assuming they don't have complete control over what happens next right? I'm guessing they write specific dialog and set pacing but the actual blue prints of what happens in the episode was already agreed upon beforehand.
My understanding is that an episode is plotted out beat by beat in the writers' room, then a writer is assigned to go away and draft a full script, then some further rewriting takes place in the room again. So the credited writer is largely responsible for the dialogue and the moment-to-moment structure of scenes but the actual arc of the episode has been pre-determined already.
All of the writers and Gilligan/Gould develop a vague plot outline for an episode, then task 1 or 2 writers with writing more precisely what characters do or say in each scene. The script is checked again by everyone else for inconsistencies with preceding/upcoming plots and any other concerns. The influence a writer has on the plot is variable and you generally see more of a sole writer's influence on more isolated episodes like Four Days Out or Fly compared to a premiere or finale
I feel like Ep. 9 will be a big time filler episode, maybe ep. 10 as well, then the final 3 episodes will finally pick up the pace and we will have an episode that is full on Gene in the future, what he's up to man and the finale will obviously be finishing Saul's story whether he gets imprisoned or whatever happens then.
But honestly, they're going to have to bring out the big guns for Gene's storyline. It's going to be really fricking hard for an entire episode to be Gene focused. There's only what, 2 named characters that we know of in Gene's storyline; Saul and Jeff. That's it, those are the only 2 characters, so obviously they will need to introduce some new ones and maybe have some others like Kim potentially return. But even that is not that many characters.
I'm really curious what else they plan on doing with Saul's storyline before BB / during BB if they have more to add to it.
9 will be the end of cartel plot and Manuel probably dies. Expect a mix of flashforwards and flashbacks for the episodes after, and Mike is confirmed to still play a significant role in the story pre-Gene
>DA SEETHERS CAN SOKE MEEEE >WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE >YOU SHOULD BE KISSING MY ASS RIGHT NOOOWWW >ME AND MAH SHIT POSTERS >WE BUILT THIS WHLE THREAD >SALAMANCA MOMMY >SALAMANCA DADDY >SALAMONKEY SHIT POSTING >AND YOU TREET US LIKE REDDITORS >EET EES! EET EES PARSONUH!
But I like avatargayging. It's not posted in literally every thread, and theres sometimes neat twists on the formula. It's these fricking other ones like does DJ Quall meme ever even get any (You)s? whats the point? It's not funny

I'm pretty curious as to what backgrounds cartel guys like Hector in real life have, or had (they may all be dead by now). Like what was the state of the Mexico he was raised him, what made him a ruthless piece of shit, etc.
>what made him a ruthless piece of shit
being born in Mexico made him like that, probably one of the southern states of Mexico or one the northern states of Mexico
So if Lalo was born at the end of the 1950's, does that mean he basically bore witness to the beginnings of the cartels that were founded by the old dogs like Hector? So he sort of bridges the cap between the old school and the ones born into the wealth and the family like Tuco
watch Narcos MX only first two seasons if you want to gauge how cartels (and obviously if you like that type of shit) work. To my understanding, Eladio was the Big Boss who came up with the idea of a Cartel and proposed this union to all the mexican bosses which probably included the Salamanca family. And the Salamancas were probably there in the early days helping out carry hits, taking over land etc. helping ELADIO was the og mastermind. And that's where the salamonkeys get their sense of entitlement. As to Lalo, he probably was the one Salamanca Eladio liked the most and thought to be most capable.
nah... well maybe
walter was a little b***h >hurr durr it's your fualt i made a bad financial decission and now the company is worth billions
i wonder how many people have missed out on money like that just cuz of they were unlucky
probably hundreds of stories just with bitcoin alone
although yeah they did him dirty in the interview
which is the only reason he went back out of spite
come to think of it if they hadn't said the shit they said jesse would have died in that hole being a little b***h slave for the cartel
poor guy
>probably hundreds of stories just with bitcoin alone
I bought around a hundred bitcoins when they were less than a dollar, forgot all about them, and then carelessly got rid of the hard drive that the wallet information was on.

So I guess Gus will want Kim out of the picture because she knows he is connected to cartel. Wonder if Mike is solid enough to pull it off or will he take half measures.
And say Kim does some digging and checks some books and finds out who lives in the address... she would immediately know Gustavo Fring owns the house, and fits the description that Lalo gave.
Plus Kim being killed or disappearing without a trace would alert Jimmy and make him a problem. Not to mention he seems too upbeat in BrBa. We know he copes with guilt and grief and all the other negatives by doubling down as Saul but a severe end for Kim would mean he'd be drastically different.
i agree, i am in the "kim doesn't die" camp. frankly i dont think vince is brave/bravo enough to kill such a major female character off so bluntly. i know andrea and jane died in BB but they aren't kim
a more interesting ending for kim would be to have her learn from her mistakes and start a new life after BCS or during BB. she would be happy, maybe with a family, living a modest life somewhere without jimmy. this would explain why saul seems so bitter and crass, and why gene is so sad that his "new start" put him balding and impotent in a cinnabon. but who knows
The rest of these eps will probably echo the trajectory of season 4 just like 6A echoed the trajectory of season 3, except with Kim's agency vastly increased.

does it matter if she cares, if gus still wants her dead for knowing at all?
she might care to find gus so she can ensure lalo is dead, or she might not care if she doesn't want to be involved anymore. again, the show isn't well-written enough for any of this to be predictive of what will happen next. nothing is in-character of out-of-character anymore, nobody is incapable of anything, i feel like the show really lost its footing as far as believability
kim knows that something shady is going on in this rich upper class home. she knows it involves someone by gus' description, who isn't the guy she saw in the room, but is likely the guy she spoke with over the phone. if she wanted to pursue this, it would be dangerous to gus. but who knows, maybe nobody considers her a threat, or she doesn't care. the characters arent consistently written

How would Kim pursuing his be consistent with her character given she’s been covering Jimmys bullshit for the past 3 seasons? Not to mention she’s traumatized

she hasn't just been covering for jimmy. she instigated the howard thing after jimmy wanted to drop it. she likes the scams, stood up to lalo, and even tried to shoot gus (even though imo jimmy sent her thinking she'd escape and he'd sacrifice himself). she's very cavalier about stuff.
i think it would be dumb if she was so motivated by her guilt over howard and fear of lalo that she would pursue gus further. but i also think it would be dumb to let lalo infiltrate the secret meth lab because the surveillance guy looked away for a minute, and then have him 360 noscope all of gus' guards like he was in a cheesy western. the show isn't written well enough for anything to be in or out of character at this point

The guy wasn't looking at the camera because he had to open and close the gate.
Gus might think at anytime Kim could panic and go to the cops and mention the address she was told to goto. Even a minor hint of association with lalo could raise suspicions.
>haha enjoy the show amigo! >Lalo this is ridiculous. Surely even an agent of chaos such as yourself would not stoop so low as to light firecrackers indoors. HAAAAAAW-
>Michael, this double is yours is unacceptable. >Yea? Why? >He is much too old, and somewhat pudgy. >Is that so? >His face resembles a melted candle! >Thing is, Mr Fring, that's a mirror. >Be rid of him at once and hire another man. Someone who captures my 2004-era youthfulness and fox-like cunning. >...Yes sir. I'll have a guy delivered tomorrow, someone solid.
I hate how they pronounce Lalo's alias when he's an international man of mystery.
It's not "Duh Goose-man", but "Duh gus-MAN", with the intonation rise at the end.
Unironically, what if Vince and co. bothered to do a little bit of planning in like 2009 and inserted Lalo into season 4 as a secondary character and he stepped up as the main villain in s5 to compete with Walt for control of NM now the mainline cartel and Gus are both gone >inb4 WALT WAS THE TRUE VILLAIN OF S5!
Don't care, I disliked the neos.
>cartel send Lalo to NM to try and broker a peace cause he's a charming bastard >Gus obviously wants to do the poison thing so when Lalo mentions the peace where Gus teaches them the meth and meets with Eladio, he agrees >Lalo remains in NM >obviously has no clue who the frick Walter is or that Gus has one of his employees plotting against him >Gus attempt to assassinate to Lalo in NM concurrent with the poisoning in Mexico but Lalo survives, unbeknowest to anyone else >Walt kills Gus by using Hector before Lalo can fully reorganize and attack >first two episodes of season 5 have Lalo sleuthing around to find out what the frick happened on the day Gus died. Why an explosion? How and why was Hector involved? >discovers everything about Walt >friendly business relations at first, devolves into Walt vs. Lalo
It could have plausibly worked in plot sense.
>started saying solid instead of good >started saying "Yeah...Why?" instead of simply why
Has anyone else accidentally started Mikeposting irl or am I just autistic?
Other than cheap bait to draw in viewers, what will Jesse and Walt even do? We'll get a new scene during the events of BrBa but nothing substantial will happen. Most I can think of is a meeting with them and after they leave, Saul realizes its too late to drop them.

Offer some greater insight from Jimmys point of view
>6x09 Fun and Games
Saul and Kim must tie up the kettleman plotlne by kidnapping betsy and selling her to the cartel for reparations of the death of lalo.
>6x10 Nippy
Saul and kim must learn how to use their new fridge. meanwhile mike helps pryce steal an ultra rare baseball card
>6x11 Law and Order
Unable to use their new fridge, saul and kim decide to sue the fridge company. meanwhile mike asks gus for time off work, in an emotional character finale where mike calls gus solid, then cut to credits
>6x12 Cold and War
while doing discover on the fridge case, kim passes out and dies. Saul is so distraught he beats up the fridge and pledges revenge against the company. Meanwhile Bolsa visits don eladio and they bid farewell with a hug and a kiss
>6x13 Slippy
after a 5 minute montage of saul meeting walter white, then becoming gene, he travels back to ABQ with jeff to exact revenge on the fridge company. After killing the company's personal band of neo nazis, saul and jeff reach the courthouse for the final hearing. Suddenly, saul is shot dead. Police apprehend the shooter, and it was kaylee getting revenge for her pop pop. Kaylee leaps from the rooftop and dies, then we hear the lyrics to I fought the law. Kaylee's spirit leaves her body and we see all the spirits of the dead characters dancing and singing to the music. Then jimmy wakes up and it was all a dream
>gould suggests the ending will be weird and unorthodox
What are you personally hoping for? What do you hope it won't be? Breaking Bad's ending was very safe.
Gene is going to go back in time to atone for his and Walt's sins. He is going to start by stopping his past self from doing the Chicago sunroof and he will make Chuck proud by starting a career in politics. Using his charisma, he's going to ban guns for good, stopping most deaths in the series.
> gene sees how much attention saul is getting as they unpack walt's empire > jeff was so excited when he recognized him > the tapes and memories from saul's commercials are so fun > slippin jimmy is trying to hard to think of a way to get all that back without getting caught > he can't. he doesn't. he has finally changed. he lives out the rest of his days being nobody
no shootouts, no revelations, no jail, nobody dies. that would be unorthodox
Sadly this is already proven false. Him going to "fix it himself", the promotional material showing him don the garish suit. He's going to go back to New Mexico and do something. Try and clear his name is my guess.
maybe some taxi driver-like ending where somehow saul ends up winning, but it's clear he's still sick (mentally, behaviorally). if he goes back home and goes to jail for his crimes that will be the most orthodox thing
I'm looking forward to the ending as much as the next guy, but actor impressions are almost never a good measure of a show's quality. Aaron Paul said something equally as over-dramatic when he said he read the script for El Camino. >oh my god, I was speechless. vince is a genius!
maybe some taxi driver-like ending where somehow saul ends up winning, but it's clear he's still sick (mentally, behaviorally). if he goes back home and goes to jail for his crimes that will be the most orthodox thing
There are a lot of references, callbacks and mirrors to Walt with BCS/Jimmy. Walt made some sort of peace and died happy as he got to end the legend of Heisenberg but basically everything around him was a mess. Jimmy failing to fix it and live miserably ever after as a footnote. Could work but is hardly unorthodox.
>When asked to describe the final episodes at Tribeca film festival: >Peter Gould: multi-chromatic >Bob: A second life... but you don't even know what that even means >Rhea: (After a very long pause) Provocative and psychologically disturbing >Tony: I'm dead so who cares
The black and white Gene to vibrant and colourful Saul
>A second life... but you don't even know what that even means
True Bob, I have no idea. He gains his life as Saul back? He gets a complete do over again but this time fricks around with schemes and cons?
>(After a very long pause) Provocative and psychologically disturbing
Jimmy targeting someone for a con, unable to give it up and hurting others.
>I'm dead so who cares
Tony found it so boring he fell asleep.
Lalo was my favourite character, but honestly? I’m glad he died last episode.
We already knew he was going to die. Taking him out earlier leaves the rest of the season as more unpredictable.

I'm gonna miss Lalo so bad bros 🙁
you think he was ever young enough to sit on Eladio's lap and that's why Donny Ladio was so fond of him?
This made me wonder if the Cartel started as an equal partnership between Eladio, Bolsa and the Salamancas, or is Eladio was laways in charge?
I wanna know, what was his relationship with Tuco like? That seem like a close family, but they have such different temperaments. I wonder how their interactions would've went, or maybe they hated eachother?
Tuco is reverse Lalo
Ultraviolent with bursts of joy instead of joyful with bursts of ultraviolence
I think Tuco would behave subdued around Lalo out of respect and that Lalo could wrangle him effectively. I also imagine Lalo would make the twins cook with him, chopping vegetables and whatnot

Lalo uses positive reinforcement for the most part and Tuco being more subdued is out of an earnest respect/love for his cousin rather than fear. He tries to impress someone he looks up to.

Next episode Kimmy and Jimmy get a divorce, I've been predicting this since early May
I'm just waiting to be proven right
what a forced pointless marriage.

HHM no doubt
Davis and Main had the coolest office. Also Jimmy got a Merc so that's pretty sweet.
But Davis and Main is in Santa Fe right? And ABQ is probably a better place to live, more stuff going on, more people to meet. So on that basis maybe HHM or S&C would be better.

Flexible.
Protective of Gus.
If we see Lyle again, he’ll probably be next in line to run Madrigal.
He's going to find about Gus' side business. Then he will get killed.
Reminder Cynthia is the manager in Breaking Bad not Lyle
whats the latest on the gene arc? i stopped watching a few eps ago because the main story is dead but i wanna know what happens to gene because he feels more like a BB character than a BCS nerd
just read the wikipedia summary
Is he getting fatter every thread? Or is that just my imagination?
My shits are solid!
https://strawpoll.com/polls/w4nWD3VQlgA
In a different show where the cartel stuff is the main conflict, Lalo makes it back to Mexico with the proof, Gus survives through some contrivance, and the next season is the Gus vs. cartel war, and Gus somehow manages to weasel his way out of it
Kim is going to blow up Albuquerque with fulminated mercury and Saul will have to kill her with the Zafiro Añejo stopper
What is the comparison between these two characters?
Angry blonde women who need to be put down by their lovers before they cause any more damage
My dream is now FULLY DEAD. It's OVER.
Tuco in jail
>Uhm, it's Tuca Salamanca now sweetie
I miss Nacho. He was too good for this world and should have been vaccuumed.
He was a solid guy, and a good friend.
would've been a cool inflexion if we had this really close call with nacho finally finishing with him getting vacuumed ep. 3 or so
>ONLY for him to return in episode 9 when wherever he is he somehow gets a call from mike who tells him that the hit set out for his father was way above him and that he tried the most, "but you've still got time kid" *click*.
And then Nacho comes back, dies, but saves Papa Varga
boils my blood to the point of evaporation the fact that I won't be able to be in the live and immediately posts show /bcsg/s on here
This. What was Cinemaphile like when Ozymandias, Granite State and Felina were rolling live?
I hope we don't get a sticky for the finale, if we do I'm still putting the general up for those who want slower thread

Weird for her to direct a gene episode. Maybe the episode opens with Gene onlyz
holy SHIT, didnt know she was directing, that is going to be one sweet episode, cant wait
So we're randomly getting a Gene scene now? Weird the way they split the season up.
Kino set of episodes
I'm surprised Michelle Maclaren hasn't blown up yet, she directed some of the great early eps of Game of Thrones too
Sadly, people don't pay attention to directors who do tv, even if they're god tier at their jobs. Or writers for that matter.
The Bravo Vince meme is funny but there are people that really don't know the names of anyone else involved in the shows creation
Dumbass. It’s Kim in 2008 or whenever
I'm really curious what else they plan on doing with Saul's storyline before BB / during BB if they have more to add to it.
>closing out the Mike and Gus storylines and transitioning to the breaking bad timeline
>filler episode
yes.
>Gene in the future
Um, actually, chud, it's in the PRESENT. ACKCHYALLY, it's in the past because it's in the 2010's. Check your privilege, chud
9 will be the end of cartel plot and Manuel probably dies. Expect a mix of flashforwards and flashbacks for the episodes after, and Mike is confirmed to still play a significant role in the story pre-Gene

>CABRON, I NEED TO SE YOUR BALLS
I'm pretty curious as to what backgrounds cartel guys like Hector in real life have, or had (they may all be dead by now). Like what was the state of the Mexico he was raised him, what made him a ruthless piece of shit, etc.
>what made him a ruthless piece of shit
being born in Mexico made him like that, probably one of the southern states of Mexico or one the northern states of Mexico
>you’re asking for information you cant have
I wonder how Eladio became the leader, he doesn't really do shit he just comes across as some boomer who's living out his rich man fantasy
El Chapo was a dumb fat manlet and leader of a cartel
How starved for (You)s are you all?
Show me your wiener Hunter, I won’t ask twice.
Why didn't he change his name to a girls name? like c**ter

i wonder how many people have missed out on money like that just cuz of they were unlucky
probably hundreds of stories just with bitcoin alone
although yeah they did him dirty in the interview
which is the only reason he went back out of spite
come to think of it if they hadn't said the shit they said jesse would have died in that hole being a little b***h slave for the cartel

kek
feels bad man
>probably hundreds of stories just with bitcoin alone
I bought around a hundred bitcoins when they were less than a dollar, forgot all about them, and then carelessly got rid of the hard drive that the wallet information was on.
What are some unironic 'Bravo Vince' moments?
When Hector detonated the pipe bomb and Gus laughed out loud
What actually would have happened had he checked out the laundry
Probably the same thing as when Gomie showed up, they'd find nothing.
the teddy bear in season 2 with the face burned off like Gus in season 4
The opening of S6 E1 with the black and white ties going in the white box then the ties actually being in color
Don El Ario
So I guess Gus will want Kim out of the picture because she knows he is connected to cartel. Wonder if Mike is solid enough to pull it off or will he take half measures.
Kim never saw Gus, she only knows where his house is.
Yes.
And say Kim does some digging and checks some books and finds out who lives in the address... she would immediately know Gustavo Fring owns the house, and fits the description that Lalo gave.
Realistically, Kim needs to die.
the reality is that the show isn't well-written enough for this to matter or be predictive
if gus' psychic powers made him feel she was too much of a threat, he'd get rid of her
on the other hand, if for whatever reason they didn't, then he'll leave her alone and it won't be a problem
The rest of these eps will probably echo the trajectory of season 4 just like 6A echoed the trajectory of season 3, except with Kim's agency vastly increased.
>another example of Jimmy regurgitating Mike's advice to Kim like he did in Bad Choice Road
honestly... kino
Why would she care? She doesn’t know why Lalo wanted him dead or who Gus Fring even is.
does it matter if she cares, if gus still wants her dead for knowing at all?
she might care to find gus so she can ensure lalo is dead, or she might not care if she doesn't want to be involved anymore. again, the show isn't well-written enough for any of this to be predictive of what will happen next. nothing is in-character of out-of-character anymore, nobody is incapable of anything, i feel like the show really lost its footing as far as believability
> if gus still wants her dead for knowing at all?
Knowing what
kim knows that something shady is going on in this rich upper class home. she knows it involves someone by gus' description, who isn't the guy she saw in the room, but is likely the guy she spoke with over the phone. if she wanted to pursue this, it would be dangerous to gus. but who knows, maybe nobody considers her a threat, or she doesn't care. the characters arent consistently written
How would Kim pursuing his be consistent with her character given she’s been covering Jimmys bullshit for the past 3 seasons? Not to mention she’s traumatized
she hasn't just been covering for jimmy. she instigated the howard thing after jimmy wanted to drop it. she likes the scams, stood up to lalo, and even tried to shoot gus (even though imo jimmy sent her thinking she'd escape and he'd sacrifice himself). she's very cavalier about stuff.
i think it would be dumb if she was so motivated by her guilt over howard and fear of lalo that she would pursue gus further. but i also think it would be dumb to let lalo infiltrate the secret meth lab because the surveillance guy looked away for a minute, and then have him 360 noscope all of gus' guards like he was in a cheesy western. the show isn't written well enough for anything to be in or out of character at this point
> let lalo infiltrate the secret meth lab because the surveillance guy looked away for a minute, and then have him 360 noscope all of gus' guards like he was in a cheesy western
What does this have to do with being in and out of character you moron
the show does dumb shit in order to suit whatever need they have at any given moment so i dont trust them to develop the characters properly. those are just the most recent examples
you are mentally moronic
The guy wasn't looking at the camera because he had to open and close the gate.
Gus might think at anytime Kim could panic and go to the cops and mention the address she was told to goto. Even a minor hint of association with lalo could raise suspicions.
Gus likes to cover his bases, usually.
Nah she'll live
>So I guess Gus will want Kim out of the picture

Why did Mike mock Howard calling him easy?
Bryan Cranston can't direct

I hate how they pronounce Lalo's alias when he's an international man of mystery.
It's not "Duh Goose-man", but "Duh gus-MAN", with the intonation rise at the end.

Unironically, what if Vince and co. bothered to do a little bit of planning in like 2009 and inserted Lalo into season 4 as a secondary character and he stepped up as the main villain in s5 to compete with Walt for control of NM now the mainline cartel and Gus are both gone
>inb4 WALT WAS THE TRUE VILLAIN OF S5!
Don't care, I disliked the neos.
>cartel send Lalo to NM to try and broker a peace cause he's a charming bastard
>Gus obviously wants to do the poison thing so when Lalo mentions the peace where Gus teaches them the meth and meets with Eladio, he agrees
>Lalo remains in NM
>obviously has no clue who the frick Walter is or that Gus has one of his employees plotting against him
>Gus attempt to assassinate to Lalo in NM concurrent with the poisoning in Mexico but Lalo survives, unbeknowest to anyone else
>Walt kills Gus by using Hector before Lalo can fully reorganize and attack
>first two episodes of season 5 have Lalo sleuthing around to find out what the frick happened on the day Gus died. Why an explosion? How and why was Hector involved?
>discovers everything about Walt
>friendly business relations at first, devolves into Walt vs. Lalo
It could have plausibly worked in plot sense.
epic, but Lalo should have really been Saul's main bad guy after Chuck, instead of the side quest antagonist
Saul isn't a druglord like Walt, giving him a "big bad" like Lalo would be moronic
Chuck wasn't really his big bad in the same vein either
He was Lalo's lawyer tho, who purposely fricked him over. You don't need to be le druglord to have druglord enemies.

be the first one to add a plot
We finally get to see Kim's pepperonis
Is that an actual Walt and Jesse in BCS screenshot?
The images were just randomly added by imdb users, except the one for 609 is an actual image
Are they confirmed for the next episode? They're in the cast list for that one but not the others. Is that also just random user shit?
There's a lot of speculation going on that they're going to show up in ep 10, so I guess next ep is just Jimmy and Kim closure and then it's BB era.
You sure it can't just be Jesse with Krazy 8 and Walt in the background while Hank is on the phone or something?
Other than cheap bait to draw in viewers, what will Jesse and Walt even do? We'll get a new scene during the events of BrBa but nothing substantial will happen. Most I can think of is a meeting with them and after they leave, Saul realizes its too late to drop them.
Offer some greater insight from Jimmys point of view
>late season 2 Walter
Holy shit, I'm starting to think Kim really does die in the plane crash.
damn, next ep is guaranteed cartel filler
>Kaylee's spirit leaves her body and we see all the spirits of the dead characters dancing and singing to the music.
I haven't laughed like this for a while thank you
What does Nippy mean? any thoughts?
>gould suggests the ending will be weird and unorthodox
What are you personally hoping for? What do you hope it won't be? Breaking Bad's ending was very safe.
Jimmy was imagining the entire franchise.
would be kino
Its going to be Kim and Jimmy getting back together and starting their schemes again.
Gene is going to go back in time to atone for his and Walt's sins. He is going to start by stopping his past self from doing the Chicago sunroof and he will make Chuck proud by starting a career in politics. Using his charisma, he's going to ban guns for good, stopping most deaths in the series.
> gene sees how much attention saul is getting as they unpack walt's empire
> jeff was so excited when he recognized him
> the tapes and memories from saul's commercials are so fun
> slippin jimmy is trying to hard to think of a way to get all that back without getting caught
> he can't. he doesn't. he has finally changed. he lives out the rest of his days being nobody
no shootouts, no revelations, no jail, nobody dies. that would be unorthodox
Sadly this is already proven false. Him going to "fix it himself", the promotional material showing him don the garish suit. He's going to go back to New Mexico and do something. Try and clear his name is my guess.
damn, well
maybe some taxi driver-like ending where somehow saul ends up winning, but it's clear he's still sick (mentally, behaviorally). if he goes back home and goes to jail for his crimes that will be the most orthodox thing
>Try and clear his name is my guess
lol no, he's guilty as sin
If I was Saul, I'd be pissed at Walt for killing Mike. He did kill the dude who saved his life after all.
>"Kim will get a happy ending!"
She's not gonna die before BrBa
Kim will get a happy ending
Giancarlo on the final episode
>”I was speechless. I was absolutely speechless. How could you do this? What brilliant mind thought up this ending?
Rhea on the finale
>”I’m going to be thinking about that ending for a very very long time”
Source?
I'm looking forward to the ending as much as the next guy, but actor impressions are almost never a good measure of a show's quality. Aaron Paul said something equally as over-dramatic when he said he read the script for El Camino.
>oh my god, I was speechless. vince is a genius!
I agree, I'd probably trust Giancarlo's judgement the least as well
Who said it was psychologically fricked up?
There are a lot of references, callbacks and mirrors to Walt with BCS/Jimmy. Walt made some sort of peace and died happy as he got to end the legend of Heisenberg but basically everything around him was a mess. Jimmy failing to fix it and live miserably ever after as a footnote. Could work but is hardly unorthodox.
>When asked to describe the final episodes at Tribeca film festival:
>Peter Gould: multi-chromatic
>Bob: A second life... but you don't even know what that even means

Tony found it so boring he fell asleep.
did they just fricking confirm Huel eats Kim?
I hope everybody dies..oh wait that's Breaking Bad
Great show

Eh
The breaking bad threads were better
both were some of the best live threads I've seen here
I unironically look back fondly/nostalgically at those marathon threads leading up to the finale
Felina threads were incredible, that whole time period was fun with the True Detective threads not long after
holy shit it's been 8 years
Lalo was my favourite character, but honestly? I’m glad he died last episode.
We already knew he was going to die. Taking him out earlier leaves the rest of the season as more unpredictable.
