I know I'm late to the party, but what did Cinemaphile think of "My Adventures with Superman", and more specifically Lois?

You expect me to believe you're "late" to the party? Oh no. You're just wanting someone to post AI images of MAWS Lois!
Honestly I'm here for the catboy smurf.
Did not care about her she looks boring and I dislike when the focus is on romance when there is so more interesting things to focus on
Sexo but not much meat to her which goes for the show really
I liked it. Cinemaphile keeps looking for reasons why it's bad and why I should feel bad for liking it.
I loved some of the designs. Like Lois's, Siobhan's, Slade's, and hell I think Clark is great.
Yeah
The new Lois was cute, I dropped it on the multiverse episode, because it was more multiverse slop and because the show caters hard towards women, it was hilarious noticing how much the writers wanted to frick Clark.
Yes, and?
Some of the story beats could've been better but the characterization of Lois and Clark was bretty gud, wholesome and funny, and I liked it.
Instantly dated thanks to Gunn's Legacy
>more specifically Lois?

Tomboy Lois is great for the lewd arts
JESUS--
This shit got made like 10 minutes after the episode aired it proved the immense power of coomers.
Honestly it does kinda fit the character. I guarantee after the incident with the Kaiju Lois dragged Clark back to his apartment and rode him like a horse.
>Season 2 will have her dump Clark for some female writers OC self insert.
Do you get off on cuck fantasies? I don't care if you do I'm just asking
I happens to every major female character in cartoons now.
Ah so you don't watch cartoons and just parrot what you see on Cinemaphile I get it.
This has become a board dominated by politics and reactionaries.
Indeed.
That's why I'm glad pic related's show got the axe. And frick yurigays, they are all closet trannies that want to be cute girls to date other cute girls.
Oh please. Miko is the last person on that show to be revealed as gay. If anything it was gonna be mitch.
Has that ever happened or are you just making up a gay Boogey man?
Owl House?
Never heard of it.
You shouldn't, it's pure mediocrity. The only saving grace is this fat gremlin that doesn't even get much screentime.
>Luz if she journalist
and straight
thats great and all but she could go faster
Didn't care about Lois, Clark is ok but it's lame that he's nerfed, villains look like shit, Jimmy got blacked.
That's about it. Not gonna bother watching this again.
So now that the dust has settled, can we all agree that the audience overreacted to the jump? It's true to the character of Lois Lane.
But in the comics Superman treated her like an obnoxious b***h for pulling this shit. Here she's a victim.
The culture war has really mind broke Cinemaphile.
>not cooming over tomboy oc with Lois' name and pointing out how shit she is means "mind broken"
moron shitstain.
>Not being mad over female character makes you a coomer
OK /misc/tard.
>female characters always gets a pass no matter how shitty they act
moronic cuckgay
>Female character is always evil if they're not completely obedient to a male character
Raging /misc/tard.
>female characters can never be bad, can never do anything wrong, and anything they do wrong is someone else's fault
moronic cuckgay b***h
>Female characters are always bad, always do everything bad and everything they do is wrong
Raging /misc/tard incel.
>>not cooming over tomboy oc with Lois' name and pointing out how shit she is means "mind broken"
YES
it has completely killed western entertainment
Both the entertainment and the community.
Even when something that's not culture war comes out there'll be at least one asshat who drags it into the culture war.
if only we lived in a world where we don't have to live in fear of seeing our favorite franchises turning into something like this...
This actually really fits the vibe of 1940s comics. Society used to hate cops deeply.
which 40's comics tells the reader that falling into a spiral of degeneracy and sexual deviancy is better than being a traditional housewife?
I’m gonna ignore the stupid thing you said.
1940’s comics had a lot of class solidarity. Being willing to throw hands against the government and a being good housewife are not in opposition to one another.
are you ignoring the fact that anti-cop part is just a single panel and the rest of the page is a huge pro-degeneracy propaganda?
Oh let people live their lives how they want. Its not hurting you is it boss?
Are one of the comic-pro homosexuals that tried to cancel mob that comic shop guy that said modern comics are garbage that no one wants to buy? It's the only reason I can think of that would make someone defend atrocious page.
when it infests entertainment yes it is dragging down the quality
>Woman got pressured into getting married
>realize she got pressured into getting married
>self actualization occurs
>doesn’t stay resentful to husband
>gets a divorce
>starting journey of self discovery
>talking to a supportive friend
What degeneracy? Are you just homophobic? Comic books have always pushed the envelope of what some people consider socially acceptable. It’s very much at the heart of the industry.
It's pure degeneracy, the writer himself is a troony pushing his own degenerate self-destructive lyfestyle as something beautiful that should be looked upon. But you refuse to recognize that because you probably also has a gender identity just to show everyone you are an attention seeking prostitute.
Wow, do you ever consider leaving your basement and meeting people in the real world?
real people hate you homosexuals
No they don’t. You really need to leave that basement or toxic friend group.
Only people who have given me shit are old people (50+) and even then they don’t actually care that much.
more like sane individuals that reject your delusional homosexualry where do you think you are? homosexual
>troony/anti religion propaganda
>what degeneracy?
Kys clown
>Never Reads bible
>Acts like an authority on religious matters
People like you give me cancer. You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. While we are on the topic the creators of Superman were israeli would you consider them heathens?
My bet is that the only thing you know about the Bible is that part where Jesus says "Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself" and assumed that Jesus was hippie communist that lived 2 thousand years ago like everyone that supports globohomosexual degeneracy.
I went to a Christian school and have studied the scriptures for most of my life. You want Old Testament fire and brimstone, but that doesn’t apply to us gentiles. Stop labeling everything you don’t like degeneracy and pretending you’re backed by God you self righteous ass.
>I went to a Christian school and have studied the scriptures for most of my life. You want Old Testament fire and brimstone, but that doesn’t apply to us gentiles. Stop labeling everything you don’t like degeneracy and pretending you’re backed by God you self righteous ass.
Lol, because you can’t have a theological dispute.
yes atheist homosexuals certainly can't
do your best to prove how christianity is compatible with pozzed woke clownworld ideology without sounding like the biggest heretic since Judas
>Judas
>heretic
I'm not her but that's not what a heretic is. All Christians are heretics to Judaism. All Protestants are heretics to Catholics. All millennerians (Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Adventists etc IE the uniquely AngloAmerican sects) are heretics to Protestants.
All a heretic is is any one person or group that believes differently from the group they came from. That's all.
So why should anyone discuss any point of religion with you when you don't even understand something as basic as heresy? You're a joke.
>troony homosexual
>calling anyone else cancer
Not trans just an ally because I’m not a garbage human.
nah you are for supporting globalhomo
homophobia is based homosexual
No it’s not. Who do you think makes cartoons?
yes it is homosexual and less then 1% of the population isn't going to make up the viewership of cartoons
It’s so bizarre the Internet was supposed to bring everyone closer together. Expose us to new ideas. But y’all really can’t see past your own nose. No one is saying you have to live a life you don’t want just let other people be and live their own lives. Stop throwing tantrums because you have a weird ideal of what life is supposed to be in your head.
>y’all
frick off chris chan
>Y'all
back to twitter
Jimmy pulls it off better
Whoo! Whoo!
No. Lois was a c**t for pulling that shit even in the comics, she was literally blackmailing Clark by endangering her life to prove that she was right. It's a b***hass move no matter the context.
So yeah, both Lois and Clark are crazy individuals and that's why they go together so well.
No. In every other version that Lois tries this stunt, it's rightfully treated like the joke it is, and ends up with Lois humiliated for trying it. Even Superman 2 didn't treat this shit with any sort of dignity or respect.
Here it's unironically used for drama and it's fricking moronic. It only shows how the desperate the writers are at coming up with any sort of conflict for this show.
Only reason why it makes sense "somewhat" in this series is that Clark is still getting used to his powers and to self control, so while the other Supermen were cool as a cucumber, he panicked and did what he thought he had to. Since he didn't have Super Speed on command yet, or ice breath.
Think Lois is into some Kinky stuff?
mods, the big fat balding guy is crying into his keyboard about brown tomboys again
I really liked some of the more mechanical designs for the villains, but I wasn’t much of a Superman fan originally so I didn’t have a strong connection to begin with. I just wish the larger robots were slightly simpler so they could’ve been Drawn instead of just 3D models. But at least CN actually had an action cartoon in current year.
Only thing I’ll say about Lois is how I found the reaction people had when discovering she wasn’t actually a Latina kind of funny.
>Lois flat out admits that she was wrong to do it in the very next episode.
Gonna need source on that. Also.
>Clark admits that he was wrong to keep it a secret from her
It's pretty good, but it never really comes together for me as well as I want it to. Also something about how the main characters are written often seems imature to me, like they're written more like high schoolers than young adults.
It felt like shojo anime. Not bad just not something i'd expect from superman cartoon.
calling golden age superman a romcom wouldn't be that much of a stretch though
I thoroughly enjoyed it. It felt fun and genuine, and like the people who made it wanted to stay faithful to the characters while still exploring new territory. Clark is finally back to being just a sweet, kind-hearted guy who wants to do the right thing all the time. He's a guy who was raised in rural Kansas by 2 old people, he really should be that humble and not the wiener jerk we've been seeing so often lately. Jimmy is a big dork who means well and is excited to do his job, not some gigachad who has to beat the girls off him with a stick. Lois is adventurous, free-spirited, obsessed with the truth, and deeply loves her friends. The romance was really nice too. I appreciate that they didn't will-they-wont-they until episode 10, and that there were no really classic TV misunderstandings except for the initial one that they had to get over.
Some of the designs don't sit well with me. Jimmy and Lois namely, since they don't look like Jimmy and Lois to me. It was pretty jarring at first, but not so much that I can't enjoy the show. Overall, excellent watch. I'll be around for season 2.
I was genuinely shocked they managed to pull an "awkward Thanksgiving" episode with General War crimes.
Like, yeah. That's some real bad vibes at the dinner table.
No wonder Lois is obsessed with secrets being kept from her.
Better than expected. I don’t know if they got to Lois learning Clark’s identity far too quickly. Seems once they became official and the secret was out, interest in the show fizzled whilst they also tried creating extra layers of secrets for Lois to freak out over despite everyone knowing it would work out.
It’s a great Clark and Lois anyway, and Jimmy wasn’t as worthless as expected either. It’s a nerfed Superman but it’s acceptable as he’s just starting out. Biggest issue was how lacking the villains were.
I haven’t finished watching it but so far I really liked it. Superman is supposed to be kind not just a power fantasy and they got that right. I really like jimmy. Idk about Louis. I think she fits golden/silver age Louis. My favorite Superman is golden age, but Louis was never really developed as a character and always getting into trouble. That being said I don’t dislike her in the show. Just wish she was written a bit different.
I hate racebending and avoided it like the plague. Seeing the gay shit they did to almost every other character just confirmed I made the right decision.
Kris Anka is a homosexual and should do some Olympic diving off of a skyscraper.
Merry Christmas.
6.5/10 as a capeshit cartoon, 9/10 as a romcom anime
I think she’s boobalicious
that's Caska
It was okay.
The setup for the series sounds boring. Government villains multiverse blah blah, I feel like I've already seen it before.
Lois was cute, but by the end of the series, it feels like they dumped the relationship and interaction between Lois/Clark in order to include MORE MYSTERY and MORE DRAMA which you know how is doing to turn out anyway.
Why is Silver Banshee Ryona'ed?
I thought she was hot.
Fricking fantastic. Better Superman than any recent movie.
I see you’re also a man of culture
I've never seen such high potential get wasted so quickly
looking in the mirror again, eh
>first reaction when seeing him shirtless is to caress his back
are women this horny irl
Yes. Women are fricking horny as hell, they just keep it under wraps when they can.
Yes.ghxytk
Was this the Gaston actor who died by blowing himself up with 4th of July Fireworks?
I think so.
wait what
>went to my mother's funeral last month
>literally all of my female cousins that I haven't met since I was a fat child caressed my arm when they hugged me to give the condolences
it's so hard being a man, being objetified wherever we go
They can be even more shameless than many guys out there, all while convinced that they're being subtle.
sorry for your loss, anon
and your horny cousins
Yes but not for (You)
If you're Chad women will literally throw themselves at you. It's a wonder there are any Chads in this world with humility at all.
I want her delicious caramel feet in my face and mouth
I want to see that Lois wearing the all-star suit
Making Lois look like some generic Eurake 7 anime tomboy reject is the one thing I didn't like. Even though she is cute, she looks like a completely different character from a different show. Why didn't they simply kept the original aesthetics of the real Lois Lane? We could have had a better version of Lois with the tomboy look.
Idk I kinda liked the modern pixie cut on her. Women follow trends. I think it fits her.
Why do people keep saying she's a tomboy. She's very clearly a girl with short hair. This is like calling a character a trap and it's just a dude with a pink bow in his hair wearing a dress.
wrong, pic related is the most masculine a woman can be and still be attractive for men
>No abs
Objectively incorrect post.
fine
Finished it this week and it was alright
It actually had some really badly animated scenes and weird looking stills
I really like Clark and that there's no putting up fronts as Superman. He's always Clark and he just wants to help, but people won't stop punching him.
My only Lois complaint is that I know they're rookies, but she's a really bad reporter.
It would’ve been fun to see character development.
I genuinely hate this portrayal of Superman. He shouldn't be bothering himself with saving cats from trees. He is a living god, and if some eggs have to be broken then so be it.
frick off Snyder, Rebel Moon sucks ass
Superman isn't human. He is above human morality and shouldn't be beholden to him. Him being this soft boy uwu shit is an insult to the character.
I find this response hilarious. You completely missed the point of superman. Fantasy is, what if someone is was all powerful was good.
And that is boring. Snyder understood that. And thus the DCEU version of the character is the best version.
nah his version was fricking shit
Oh suck shit, Lex. The whole point of his character is that while he is phenomenally powerful, he is really Just Some Guy under the surface, and that makes him all the better. It means that he actually has empathy and shit.
He should be a firm hand who becomes a fist if need be
Ok, Lex.
>Superman
>Not being a down to Earth hero who can have conversations with any random on the street
>Not holding back as much as he can to avoid not only hurting bystanders, but also not permanently crippling his enemies
>Not saving cats from trees
What kinda Superman you've been watching?
The one Superman movie that actually got it. Man of Steel.
ah the worst version
Would Lois be a dom or sub?
You know its kinda funny that Waller and Lane were expecting Omni Man, but they got the real Superman.
Waller and Cecil swap universes while fulfilling each other's occupation, what happens?
Waller tries doing a suicide squad against viltrumites, either gets destroyed by Nolan or gets manipulated by Robot. She's too uncompromising in her position to really work with the Invincible verse.
Cecil either does really good or really poorly. He'd immediately try and understand Superman, but unless Superman started to go Justice Lord I think they'd actually get along well Until Clark catches Cecil spying on his family or doing some experimentation on prisoners? Cecil was fairly friendly with Mark for most of the story, and seemed to be a more honest/well intentioned government hero then what we normally see.
Nice
I like her but I'm bothered by her skin tone. Not in any racist way (I've got the same sort, maybe a shade lighter; also, my grandma's Asian) just that I've never seen a supposed Korean be that dark.
I think it's hilarious that Lois is supposed to be Korean here when literally everyone thought she was latina from how she looks. Majority of Koreans would spit in her direction she was that dark irl in Korea.
I thought she was Filipino until she wore the korean formal wear.
Would've made more sense if that was the case. For some reason Koreans are the current trendy asain race to use in western media lately. It's rarer to see characters that are asians from SEA countries.
I think it has more to do with the showrunners wanting her to match her VA, which is korean
Exactly what I was getting at! She's a great character and I love everything about her but when she wrote the hanbok in that one episode, I was super confused. Maybe her mother's Mexican or something? We haven't seen Lois' mother yet, have we?
I know a really mixed Mexican girl. Her dad is half Japanese half Mexican and her mother's hand Lebanese half Mexican. Her dad looks Samoan lmao.
Koreans, and really all East Asians tan fairly easily if they spend a decent amount of time outdoors. They also have a strong attitude that white=pretty. Whitening cream is a multibilion dollar industry in China, Taiwan, SK, and Japan for a reason.
Case in point, they wouldn't spit because there's no tan Koreans, they'd spit because there ARE, and are looked down on as dirty peasant farmers. That's why they have low media focus, especially in curated media segments like K-Pop. Lois is American and went camping all the time with her dad, she didn't get the same pathology because Americans mostly don't give a frick. To the degree that there was a similar mentality, it was mostly out of fashion by the 50s.
This is a thing societies do; in northern and mid latitudes, light skin is a sign that you are wealthy and don't have to go into the sun to work, so the city dwelling middle classes want to look lighter. Then as most of society shifts indoors for work, tan skin becomes a sign that you're wealthy enough to spend leisure time tanning. Again, for the US that happened in the 50s, it's in progress in Japan, and Chinese and Koreans still care a bunch.
>Whitening cream is a multibilion dollar industry in China, Taiwan, SK, and Japan for a reason.
Also Thailand.
This commercial is hilarious of you can speak Thai.
Basic gist is, brown bear wants to be white. Dermatologist explains that if the bear stays out of the sun, he'll eventually turn white. In 10,4 million years.
Understandably, the bear loses his shit and starts screaming "I wanna be white!!!" Then some African dude in a fricking up African accent comes in and says "is there something wrong here, daughter?" and the Thai doctor is revealed to actually be an African who lightened her skin with Verena brand berry flavoured skin whitening drink.
The saddest thing is that there was a scandal done years ago where Thai women were developing super early onset Alzheimer's due to KNOWINGLY using fricking MERCURY to whiten skin. It works, but come the frick on. We all know what mercury does to the body. There's a reason 'mercury poisoning' is a term
Thai commercials don't give a FRICK about your feelings.
Lois' father is a Hispanic in the show.
No, he's VOICED by one. Big difference.
it's 2023, chud. Don't you know that VAs are only allowed to voice characters that match their ethnicity?
>the pfp on the post your reply section
Holy shit, that explains so much.
The writers got Clark's character right (if a little dumbed down), but the entire atmosphere was too bogged down in shoujo/YA novel cliches to fully enjoy. Another case where the enforced tone of the show supersedes the most interesting aspects.
And for a show that hinges on character interaction, they really did a poor job of showcasing relationships. Clark and Jimmy are supposed to be best friends since college, but they hardly seem like friends. Jimmy immediately becomes Lois' right hand, then spends an entire episode whining about feeling left out, then the show immediately resolves that so they can get right back to the romance plot, which they also skip over. I get they only had 10 episodes to work with, but it's still too ADHD for its own good.
Also Lois isn't anything special. She's the typical spunky self-interested tomboy archetype that's become popular in cartoons since the late '10s.
I found this image on my external. I saved it in 2008.
Ms Grant from Supergirl was doing that. She knew Cara was Supergirl and verse vice-a and said something like 'anyone who can't tell is an idiot.'
i love the way clark is drawn here
I like tomboys but Lois shouldn't be one. They should've made an original tomboy character instead.
original Lois was a career woman in the 30's, that's pretty tomboyish imo
It was fun seeing Lois and Clark in a good relationship, and honestly just nice to see a Superman series that had an uplifting attitude with a kid from Kansas. I'm interested to see if they can actually pull of the Kryptonian angle, and while I don't like everything about the series it's overall very solid.
I only saw a few episodes. It's not that it's bad but it's very much not for me despite me being a big superman fan. I did appreciate references like having the newsboy (or I guess newskid) legion in the first episode, there were a few things like that that make it feel like the people behind the show were familiar with the comics instead of just picking bigname characters they're barely familiar with.
I hate what they did with Jimmy Olsen. He was extremely annoying in every scene he was in. Actually most of the humor fell very flat for me which is probably a big part of why I didn't like the show.
I don't mean this as an insult even though it will sound like one, it felt like a show made for the tumblr demographic. Fujos did seem to like the show a lot so I guess it succeeded.
Cool for the people who like it, just not my thing.
>Fujos
you mean yumejos
>yumejos
I learned a new word today.
But yeah, them.
Yes
non cannon garbage
Cannon? In DC comics? There is some overall consistency hell together by glue but no every new writer undoes what the previous writer did.
homosexual
not womanly enough, also too brown.
When does Raven show up?
