I quite liked the first season of MAWS overall.
That said, sure, most of the human villains were shit, big downgrades from the comic versions, and had awful designs.
But you know what really stunk in the show that I never see Cinemaphile complain about?
The music. Total snorefest. There isn't even opening music!
I will not watch a show with a black Jimmy or Perry.
ok.
nobody say anything about black Lana [/spoilre]
We don't know that's actually her for sure yet..... (I'm not coping)
What other childhood girl friends did Clark have growing up in Smallville? There is no one else it can be.
She's a ginger like Jimmy. Of course she got race-swapped.
How about a Blue Perry? Or a Green Jimmy?
It gets boring whenever it stops focusing on Lois which really says a lot. It really is carried by the waifu bait and anime inspiration and nothing else
Lois was easily the worst part of the show. 90% of her character is just saying "Clark, don't!" while crying.
Jimmy was so cute and he was the only reason I kept watching even though he wasn't really treated as important.
Could've been better, could've been worse
I thought it was fine.
I thought it was alright. I am expecting the guy who seems like Zod to be Brainiac.
"They will kneel" dude is Zod.
The robot that's working for him is Brainiac.
I'm expecting the subversion.
I mean... don't? The one with the Brainiac symbol and a robot voice is Brainiac.
nah thats super mans mom lara, the fake made by brainiac
Why would Brainiac act subservient to his own creation?
how is alerting someone of something an act of subservience all of a sudden?
Are you an autist that can't pick up on subtext? He gave no sense that he had authority over the armored warrior. And there is literally no reason for him to have made a fake Lara yet when he has no idea Kal-El exists.
Personally I got more of a "intelligent supercomputer allied with a knuckle-dragging blowhard thug of a general that can be placated with an insincere show of respect" feel.
I could be wrong!
So not a Lara AI he created. Glad we agree.
I thought the romance was saccharine and rushed. Having the leads blush and go uwu every time they are around each other just isn't fun to watch unless you enjoy bad fanfiction. And no, having proper romantic build-up and payoff is not the same thing as "dragging it out."
I thought it was a fun show, and I liked this version of Superman more than most. I like the fact he's still learning on the job and still powering up as he goes. That said, I don't take cape shows super seriously, so they tend to get more free passes from me than a movie or a comic
The music clearly inspired by heavy guitar rock of American DBZ ost like gives me these vibes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4iiX4KByYk
It's fine also Parasite was the best villain.
They're all so fricking ugly but especially Lois. I hate this stupid ugly brown tomboy dyke archetype. She's so insanely ugly and generic, she's not even a tomboy, why do people like her?
homosexual.
Yeah listen bro I like women that act like women and have hairstyles like women, tomboys are ugly and boring with their shitty short haircuts. Theyre especially boring because they feel like theyre really speshal for being a female that doesnt like overly feminine things. Tomboy is literally codeword for pickme

Go to bed Lex.
Yeah Lois is the most astroturfed safe horny shite ever
>astroturfed safe horny
I swear to God you go through life just itching to b***h about anything you can.
Did this even have music?
All I remember was the opening song which was generic rock.
First third of the season was good.
Second third was meh
Final third was good.
What I couldn't stand is the multiverse shit. I'm kinda over that. Everything has to be a multiverse these days. I'm glad they didn't pursue it further than being a way to move the plot forward
it was good. Most of the designs are pretty bad compared to the comics but Im still patient since characters like Livewire and Silver Banshee might still get their "evolution" moment and get better costumes. Also, I hope we get more slice of life Lois and Clark stuff
I overall liked it a lot. There were a lot of subversions to what I was expecting. For example, based on the first episodes, I thought:
>Season 1 would end with Lois figuring out Clark is Supes
>Season 2 would end with her telling him she knows, or if she told him earlier, they reaching a compromise on the matter
Instead, they deciding to focus on the romance of Lois and Clark, which I always like cause I prefer "Clark is the real identity" stories to "Clark is the disguise" ones.
That being said, for me the season finale was kind of a letdown... I think that one should have been the two parter, everything happened too fast and felt very clunky. For example, they being promoted to full reporters was too fast, didn't feel earned after all the shit they did in season 1, or Jimmy selling his Not!YouTube channel and becoming a millionare felt like a bad last minute joke. If anything, I think Perry should have put them on a probation period.
That being said, I'm actually eager to watch Season 2. Here's hoping Clark is able to make peace with Jor-El.
Yeah I'm glad they went with Clark and Lois being an item quickly. A few more eps to set it up would've been nice but holy shit that's a short season.
