I have noticed that Superman haters usually don't know a thing about the character outside of the movies and dislike him due to cultural memes or just don't like the idea of a non-gritty hero. You could reccomed some of his better comics to show her what the character is all about if you think she would actually read them.

He was created 84 years ago, it was a pretty cool superhero back then, but he has been copied so many times that his powers nowadays feel like the most boring and uninspired version of what superpowers could be, and it hasn't been any different with his theme either, alien, almost extinct but super strong race, like humans, good guy, protect humans, it feels boring because it has been copied thousands of times, and a few years from now it will be more than a century old, still running, every single trope has been made already in that time, and still going...
