Yes, I fricking wonder why anyone would even consider letting that guy be your king. We don't even know his tax policy

Why did Tolkien plagiarize Bible to create mythos for England (even though England was part of Germanic world and later Christendom and already had own mythos)
They did but no-one's claim was strong enough so the Stewards and the council of Gondor rejected them. Hell, Denethor, Boromir and Faramir were descendants of Elendil too but they didn't have a strong enough claim either. Not that they would've needed to, given that the Stewards of Gondor wielded pretty much equal or surpassing power anyway.
I recently discovered there was a deleted scene we never got to see where Arwen joins Aragorn at Helms Deep for the battle. She has this cool purple outfit and everything. Some rumors say her acting was so shit they cut it, or when it got leaked they saw how upset the chuds were in online forums calling her "warrior princess" disparagingly so they removed it. Sad. I would have loved to see it.
It would have been based. I also like how Liv got that random elf homosexual's part in rescuing Frodo from the Nazgul. I forget what his name was from the book, but he was irrelevant, and introducing her at that time actually made me give a damn about her and Aragorn's romance, unlike in the book. Would have been kino to see her chop off some orc heads at Helms Deep, and also make it so that not every single elf from Helms Deep died.
Just what shade of brown are you? The dream sequence with Aragorn and her was much more kino than any attempt to bring Arwen into Helms Deep could have been.
Yeah it was good too, but we just needed more of her. It would be nice for her to have some blood in the game, metaphorically. Instead she sits in Imladris the whole time. In the book she makes Aragorn his own banner and has it brought to him. That would have been a cool time to introduce her again before he goes into the ghost cave, and she could have came with him with her two brothers and fought at Minas Tirith. That would have been based. I actually like her as a fighter more than I like Eowyn as a fighter.
The banner was replaced with Andúril in the film, and it's at Arwen's urging that it is remade.
I agree that it would have been nice to see a bit more of a Grey Company thing rather than just Elrond show up. I'm not sure about naming Elladan and Elrohir (there are already around 40 named characters), but certainly you could have Arwen with a small company of Elves and call them "my kinsmen", with two clearly supposed to be Elladan and Elrohir, kind of like how Beregond was treated.
However, I do really like the reveal at the coronation that she's there, which we'd lose if she was on the adventure and without gaining too much. Additionally, Éowyn's specialness as being the only fighting woman at the Pelennor would be cheapened.

Yeah, true, I like her showing up suddenly at the coronation, and if she's with him before hand it loses a lot of impact. I don't know. I just liked Liv as Arwen and would have liked to see more of her somehow.
She was cut entirely because of fan backlash. It was the right move. The original plan was to kill Gimli in place of Haldir and have Arwen continue on the rest of the journey.
However, she's not fully cut and you can still see remnants of her performance in the finished film.
In the craning wide over the Hornburg when the gate is breached, they paint her out of the heroes running from the battlements, but when they're in the inner courtyard before the keep you can see her running up the stairs.
After the "Forth Éorlingas!" moment, in one of the low-angle shots of the horses charging through the castle you can see her, and during the ride down the causeway you'll note there's one Elf-looking character that isn't Legolas and it's really obvious in the higher resolution releases that their hair has been painted to be blonde in post. That's likely Arwen.
In the series of quick shots after Gandalf and Éomer make contact with the orcs, you can see her in the background of a shot of Éomer turning on his horse.
There might be others, but those are the ones that I've found.
Who is No One?
Isildur
Destroy it!!
I never watched that scene, I always turned off the TV after the eagles rescue frodo and sam
Did I missed anything important?
saruman comes back and enslaves the shire folk to be brood sows for orcs
Yeah I thought the gang rape scene with Sam’s crush was a little much
Yes, but the song sort of kills it
I kneeled(mentally) when I watched for the first time
>they just let this dude be the king
this storyline was cringe
The steward was just keeping the throne warm for him.
why didn't anyone else ask to be king in the 976 years since there was a king?
seems hard to believe, since apparently everyone knew aragorn was the heir
Look, Tolkien was a monarchist, okay? Don't think too hard about it, it's about as coherent as Theocracy or Nazism.
Because the steward is there and he said no.

And did those feet c**t
(You will never be anglo)
These are mythos that preceded your israeli mythos
The heirs all declined the duty, using a curse as the reason.

no but possibly the lamest
>my friends, hobbits eat with the servants in the back
jesus christ raimi
>Yup, aha, I'm Isildur's long lost heir. Totally!
Holy, who wrote this crap?
it kinda gets ruined by the shit CGI making the hobbits look small

That would have been terrible and is one of the times Jackson successfully wrangled his women.

Rare instance where Hackbert made the right call

it was suppose to be Russel Crowe
>US Presidents when they meet an Israeli
Fine joke, but US of A is not a monarchy. No one is supposed to bow before a president.
>My friends...you pay taxes to no one
Wow, thanks great king! Why don't you move your arse to Hobbitown if you love them so much
