Ultimate spider-man. People will shit on it but it's a good read for a teenager.

The Spider-Girl books that were manga size that came out a while ago were pretty fun. I didn't actually read that many of them, but I remember the first book or two not sucking.

Marvel Adventure Spider-man or Ulitmate Spider-man.

Marvel adventures is a solid read through, all the books in it are fun. Untold tales is pretty good, if she wants to try the silver age after it’s the best opening, if you can convince her to read through the old books I think the romita era would be a lot of fun for a younger girl to read, it’s got a decent balance of action and relationship drama. Though also have her read Spider-Man blue, see if it freaks her out a bit

Though also check out Spider-Man hookey, it’s a story about a magical young girl who goes to spidey for help with some decent art in between

What a surprisingly wholesome thread for Cinemaphile .

I was sure someone would say Tracy Scops or something terrible.

Check out webspinners tales, it’s a handful of stories set at different points in peters life that they never covered in the comics for one reason or another.

Have you suggest her reading old Spider comics?
    Their pretty good.

Spider-Girl and Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane should both be good for her age. She could also try starting Amazing Spider-Man from the beginning, to see if she is ok with the Silver Age stuff. If Silver Age writing is a road block, then Ultimate Spider-Man (ignoring all the rest of Ultimate lines and crossovers!)

    Trying to get an omnibus
Should I get spectacular or amazing?
I'm eyeing ultimate too but I don't know if its worth it

Spectacular is from the 70s and is pretty good but for the most part all of the omnis for spider are decent, though if you want to start her from the beginning try to get untold tales along side it. They were written in the 90s and work as companion pieces to the first omni.

Check out Spider-Man loves Mary Jane as well, it’s like a romance manga but with Spider-Man

said. I'll add that overall Spider-Man comics are good, and for the longest time the "bad" runs were just mediocre and bland by comic book standards. Though more recent runs have had a lot of stinkers so so long as you stick to stuff from 2000's and before you should be fine

The Hooky graphic novel was good.
I liked the Peter David run, and the David Michelinie run.
"When Cometh The Commuter" was a good little self contained story.

But yeah, Hooky is an unrecognised gem from the Metal Hurlant generation.

This seems like a good thread to ask.
I got the first Epic Collection of Lee/Ditko and was wondering what runs to stick with moving forward, and if the Epic Collections collect most of them.
