Most characters in the show is annoying and their motivations are either shallow or unclear. Ryan Condal is a hack and can't write for shit. Rhaenyra, Alicent, Rhaenys, Cole, and Aemond are barely coherent characters. It's interesting that the straight up evil and power hungry characters like Otto and Daemon are the most believable personalities. Sociopathic shit heads are much more in line with GRRM's world than the pussyfooting characters we got in this dumb show.
I thought they gave a lot more nuance to Aemond than what I was expecting, it would have been easy to paint him as pure evil from the get go. Especially when they clearly want you to route for the blacks over the greens, he’s fleshed out at least. Aegon had less nuance and screen time that what I was expecting though, but they will have a 3 episodes before rooks rest to do so atleast.
