The Strange and Wanda we follow in Doctor Strange 2 are NOT from the main MCU Sacred Timeline. But rather a very similar universe that I dub the "Raimi-MCU-verse".
It explains why it's designated "Earth-616" and not "Earth-199999". It also explains why White Vision didn't appear in the movie. In this universe, SWORD never created him and the whole "Ship of Theseus" battle didn't happen. When the Westview Hex went down for good, Vision died with it.
It also explains why Wanda didn't learn anything from the events of WandaVision.
What are the raimifications of this theory on the lore then?
Nothing. It means that this movie isn’t my fricking canon and we can forever ignore it just like we did to the Loki show.
