...But come to think of it, Danny does have some degree of shape shifting powers IIRC, mostly shows up when he fricked up another one of his powers but I could see a Dani who's bullied due to being flat as a board subconsciously making herself curvier when she transforms, might also explain why her butt's so big in that first pic, her subconscious mind doesn't get it quite right so instead of getting busty she got a big butt at least when she transformed that time

Desiree does have the ability to grant wishes that were only thought about once she gets powerful enough IIRC, could work, at least with a less overtly antagonistic (and more pranksterish) Desiree

Well, you could go with Desiree's (implied) rules about the more wishes she grants the more powerful they can be, which might mean Genie!Danny would need to power up on wishes in a fight... though that just changes the issue a bit I suppose, perhaps granting wishes is somewhat addictive? Could give Danny a reason to NOT be doing so constantly, maybe if he's basically been turned into a half-clone of Desiree you can add in a mental compulsion to really want to twist wishes the stronger Danny gets?
Alternatively alternatively, go back to the mythological version of genies granting wishes where 90% of the wish granting is just the genie going invisible/intangible and going out and doing whatever is wished for (with only the most powerful genies able to use actual magic to do stuff)

Yeah, if it was for a hypothetical episode that's how I'd handle it
Danny would wish something that causes her to love him, and after a bit of warriness, he thinks sweet, 10/10 bombshell of a GF who can also grant wishes? What could go wrong?
And then she gets clingy, creepy, and/or possessive and he has to figure out how to get her to break up with him unless he wants a VERY pissed off ghost genie after him

Alternatively, make it so her fixing all the problems is dangerous, like she's so used to twisting wishes she can't NOT monkey's paw things, or granting wishes, particularly big ones are addictive and she may go a bit powermad if Danny's not careful

A good way to go about it is that her wishes don't work or don't work as effectively on ghosts that are stronger than her.
There's no way I believe she could grant a wish that would effect ghosts like Clockwork, Pariah Dark or Overgrowth, but could still effect Vlad or other powered up ghosts in some way. This way she can help, in her own way without making her too broken or stripping away her identity by making her get into a slugfest with other ghosts.
Additionally I assume she can't grant the wishes of ghosts, otherwise it would have been too easy for her to power up with ghosts making random wishes constantly offscreen, so she requires a mortal to make the wish, which Danny falls into a grey area with.

As a more common reoccurring character though...
But yeah, I can't think of a good way for Desiree to be part of the main cast unless the focus changes, I do think she could be a frequently used side character/ally though, just give her a reason why she isn't fixing everything, could be as simple as "I don't want you to use me JUST for wishes" or her deciding to only use wishes that amuse her or something
That takes all the fun out of a genie though
...I say that, but Danny trying to be clever and wishing she could only grant his wishes only for her to point out can doesn't mean have to afterwards as a way to depower her suddenly comes to mind

Having super powers but needing someone to wish them sounds like a fun idea, that being said there needs to be some kind of nerf to this, or is just too powerful.
Well, you could go with Desiree's (implied) rules about the more wishes she grants the more powerful they can be, which might mean Genie!Danny would need to power up on wishes in a fight... though that just changes the issue a bit I suppose, perhaps granting wishes is somewhat addictive? Could give Danny a reason to NOT be doing so constantly, maybe if he's basically been turned into a half-clone of Desiree you can add in a mental compulsion to really want to twist wishes the stronger Danny gets?
Alternatively alternatively, go back to the mythological version of genies granting wishes where 90% of the wish granting is just the genie going invisible/intangible and going out and doing whatever is wished for (with only the most powerful genies able to use actual magic to do stuff)

Danny would wish something that causes her to love him, and after a bit of warriness, he thinks sweet, 10/10 bombshell of a GF who can also grant wishes? What could go wrong?
And then she gets clingy, creepy, and/or possessive and he has to figure out how to get her to break up with him unless he wants a VERY pissed off ghost genie after him

Easiest way would be, yeah, morph the show so it's not always about fighting ghosts, throw in some shenanigans/problems that Danny can't just beat up to fix
Alternatively, make it so her fixing all the problems is dangerous, like she's so used to twisting wishes she can't NOT monkey's paw things, or granting wishes, particularly big ones are addictive and she may go a bit powermad if Danny's not careful
A good way to go about it is that her wishes don't work or don't work as effectively on ghosts that are stronger than her.
There's no way I believe she could grant a wish that would effect ghosts like Clockwork, Pariah Dark or Overgrowth, but could still effect Vlad or other powered up ghosts in some way. This way she can help, in her own way without making her too broken or stripping away her identity by making her get into a slugfest with other ghosts.
Additionally I assume she can't grant the wishes of ghosts, otherwise it would have been too easy for her to power up with ghosts making random wishes constantly offscreen, so she requires a mortal to make the wish, which Danny falls into a grey area with.
Good way to look at it, though indirect wishes could possibly allow her to affect them to some degree
As for her being unable to grant ghost wishes, that would make sense, though I think she's granted Danny's a time or two? Maybe just have her not be able to power up from him?
