How far does the show follow the comics, do they ever veer off and how far does that happen?
the show ends where book 5 ends more or less, but a number of lore elements are different, there are a bunch of minor events and places visited in the show that don't appear in the comic and there's a bunch of characters changed/added/removed in the show, for example they combine Zaid and Antony into Zaid Antonius.
people have complained about a number of episodes being filler, and while I understand this complaint considering the actual core story was never finished in the show , I would say I enjoyed all the episodes. if they'd made a couple more eps and finished the story that would've been best, but as it stands I think I prefer the show as it is to just an animated "filler free" version of the comic.

they called it 3 seasons but the episodes add up to the standard 26. which i guess is part of the reason they didn't make more to finish the story. the other reason i suspect being that the ending of the original story may not have been ready in time to be adapted, looking at when book 6 released
