Even better is that this caused the villain's motivation to be laid bare. Until now vampire Michael Jackson was evil because he was evil, but the few flashbacks we got demonstrated him being a fricking idiot and not getting what he wants because he makes decisions like a power tripping 12 year old.

Why can't mangakas learn from Full Metal Alchemist? It's not my favourite manga, but it's good and the narrative is top notch. I mean, it had a beginning, a development and an end. A 22 year old man that read berserk first chapter when it came out is almost 60 now. Just have a fricking keikaku when you start a manga (keikaku means plan)

And then because they had the sun come up they can have this ''tense'' moment where he looks for his sister who will be killed in the sun, nevermind that this makes the MC look like a complete butthole moron, this homosexual left his demon sister alone and waited for the sun to come up before he checks on her. Then an old fart quietly and quickly digs up graves for the dead families, it makes no sense but the tranime needed a visual of the empty graves.
Almost all tranime is like this. They need a certain visual, they need the story to hit this fake tear jerking beat and they will make it happen, they'll force it even if it goes against anything they're doing with the story.
Then episode two happens and the old moron has an entire forest rigged with convenient traps that will challenge the MC and injure him but not kill him. Millions of traps in the forest conveniently placed so that they hit the MC no matter what route he takes. The old fart just has millions of traps ready to go in case he runs into a kid with a demon sister that he will train to be a demon killer by putting him through his trap forest.
This is tranime.

They put all the budget in the first season and make it really pretty, if it pays off and the tranime goes viral they cut corners and stop putting in effort as they try to put out as many seasons and OVAs as soon as possible. The average tranime homosexual is already too invested to pull out. When someone complains about the quality dropping they get attacked by the entire tranime community. The most insane case I remember was when Attack on Titan went from a pretty anime to looking absolute dogshit and the entire tranime community started chanting ''THANKS MAPPA THANKS MAPPA THANKS MAPPA'' while rocking back and forth and crying in the corner.
