This list would consist of nothing but Leto performances.

Idk but he's in deep. Let's not forget he had a moment where he larped as Jesus and was running a "spiritual organization" (cult)

fpbp, I can only come up with other Leto roles to top this. suicide squad Joker, the little things, fight club with his 2 fricking lines, the wigger he plays in panic room. He clearly resents being handsome, like it was an obstacle to being great, despite being in a shitty poprock band. He thinks he's Paul Newman but he's the blonde guy from Party Down.

Although I do enjoy his cringe at times. Him and Dunkaccino hamming it up made House of Gucci watchable.

fricking hell he was bad. I didn't even know it was him at the time, I just noticed that this guy was a dramatically worse actor than anyone else in the film, including the prostitutes with 2 lines each.

mads is a proficient dancer, he intentionally danced like that because the character was drunk and hadnt danced in like 20 years

omg this is spoopy to read, imagine hearing it, witnessing it. What an intense, interesting guy, he's wasted doing scene-stealer cameos on DC movies.

I forgot where I read it, but apparently that role was supposed to be for David Bowie.
Could you imagine, if that was real.

God that would have been kino. Leto really fricked up a nearly perfect film.

To be fair every single actor does, it's part and parcel to being one
It just really falls flat when they suck, you barely notice it when they don't

he was mainly chosen because he actually has megalomaniacal tendencies which DID work for the film

Not even the most cringe in the movie
That would be geriatric Harrison Ford hobbling around with a gun, presumably refusing to get into wardrobe insisting on just wearing what he showed up on set with. I'm surprised they managed to make him take out his gay earring. He should have been cut from the movie entirely.

The way he's dressed has Villeneuve's DNA all over it, don't think it was Ford's idea

I've never been so 4th wall buck broken as when Harrison Ford stepped out of his trailer from a nap right into this scene in a fricking fruit of the loom t-shirt. Having him in this movie was such a fricking blunder. Movie should've been about K doing cool shit in the city. Fricking love the fly-over scene and his walk to his appartment. Instead of getting bombarded with amazing city shots we got ORANGE and Harriso- I mean, Deckard.

        Anonymous

Yeah the movie drops off after they leave the city. I don't want to see daytime desert or care about Rachel's 20 seconds of screentime that has to try to somehow carry a big part of the emotional weight of the plot or see Ford try to turn the private investigator cliche that Deckard was in the first movie into a real character. I want to see more of that weird noirish, somewhat Soviet-looking futuristic LA.

I think one of the issues is that they tried to expand Deckard, a character who in the first movie mainly was there just to drive the plot forward while the actors who played the replicants did most of the heavy lifting, into a fully fleshed-out character. So it doesn't really feel like Deckard from the first movie. The Deckard from the first movie mostly just looked glum and was a man of few words, now suddenly he has to deliver exposition and do a lot of acting where he shows that he cares about other people. I get that the character grew as a person between 2019 and 2049, but it just feels off somehow, as if the 2049 is a brand new character. Ford probably had little way of connecting the 2049 version to the 2019 version because the 2019 version was largely a generic hardboiled detective cliche, not a complex character.

I imagine a SNL skit where Jeffrey Bezos is going around his Amazon warehouse acting exactly like Jered Lito. "An angel... is not allowed in heaven... without a gift." and then he stabs some woman packing an amazon box with condoms and shampoo.
