Ben was dropping the ball anyway, his drinking was clearly getting in the way of his ability to do his job. Ed's not great but at least he can finish a joke.
Ben was always my third favorite anyway, and also his billed role was nearly always the most replaceable “third guy who has never interacted with the topic before and who is there to ask obvious questions.” While Henry was the “funny voices guy” and Marcus was the Nerd. So if any of them had to go and be replaced, I’d’ve picked Ben every time anyway. I’ve only listened to a few episodes with Ed, but he doesn’t seem functionally that much different.
i know this is just another teen-girl-Cinemaphile "haha unattractive guys" thread, but OP being a homosexual aside, what would these three even have in common? one is a very normie dad who likes sports, one is a toy collector and reseller, and one is a chef, and they probably have at least 5-10 years gap between one another
yknow what tho, that actually sounds like a fun podcats
toy guy talks about rare toys and cartoons, rattatootie talks about gourmet cooking, and the dad is the straightman who's like "look man i don't know what a super mario bros is or what 'par boiling' means but let me tell you a funny workplace story"
no? not really? the dad is from inside out and nothing supernatural happens in that movie, hell nothing happens at all except his teen girl gets depressed for a bit which is the moral normal and natural thing in the world
toy guy has living toys but iirc he never truly realized they're alive he just rationalized everything that happened like how everyone else did, at most it's one of those "supernatural" stories that podcasters tell about how something super weird and creepy happened i swear but everyone just reasons it as him losing the toys or seeing things and he himself doesn't fully believe it
the guy with the most supernatural thing going on is chef guy, but in the end of his movie is already revealed that a rat was cooking for him so its kinda not a big deal anymore

Harmless but also a little racist.
Most podcasters I’ve listened to spend a lot of time complaining about how they really don’t have the time to be doing the podcast in between all their other shit, so it seems kinda par for the course. Or, at least, that’s what they’re all like in the early episodes before they’re successful enough that doing the podcast becomes their full time job. And then they still complain about how they never have any time between editing or doing tours or whatever.

Would Riley's dad even have time for a podcast? He seemed like a massive Wageslave.
