That fact that it is a movie and not a show gives me hope. TV budgets can't do justice to anime.
Movie format is terrible for so something like Naruto. You can’t fit all of part 1 in a single film. Cutting stuff out will just piss fans off

That first arc where they fight Zabuza and the trap could work as a movie, it's before they add a shit-ton of characters and the plot is relatively simple while being compelling. I'm sure they're going to frick it up somehow though.

It’s like the dozen of times japan tried to adapt their shonen anime using Japanese actors. Didn’t work for Bleach didn’t work for Full Metal Alchemist and it won’t work for Naruto. The characters just look too white so it ends up looking like cheap cosplay

Ichigo doesn’t work as a white guy either for me. His name and the fact that almost everything about Bleach is distinctively Japanese. This is why the characters can’t be adapted to live action, they’re too stylized. Ichigo literally has orange hair and it’s a plot point. It would look so stupid la, white or jap

Bleach is weird because it's pretty clear each of the factions is supposed to represent a different ethnicity (soul reapers for Japan, hueco mundo for Mexico, sternritters for Germany, etc) but the characters in those factions are all a weird mix of various races. The soul reapers have a black guy named Kaname Tosen and a blonde white guy named Shinji Hirako for instance, it's all confused.
Bleach is weird because Kubo had plans only for the first arc and then he just made shit up with no rhyme and reason because it paid bills.
First arc was strong enough to carry the entire IP on its own until
the Heart
where it finally become an absolute meme.

Nah, even back then he just had an outline and was pulling shit out of his ass. Aizen was originally going to just be the innocent victim that he appeared to be after his "murder" until Kubo realized he needed a villain and decided to make it him, I doubt the dude planned anything in advance.
I brlieve it. Still struck gold with first season, and I'd argue that Bleach used to be pure spirit of shonen in that arc.
Kubo admitted he added Spanish names simply because it sounded mysterious and exotic. This is how most manga artists if we’re being honest, they just like add shit they think is cool

Won't work. There is so much story to cover and you have about 2hours in a movie. Not to me tuon filming 2 years apart. All the kid actors would age out of it before you got to anything substantial lol.
Say you have 3 movies... What do you cover? You can't skip the chunin exams lol ... So what, first introductory movie covering zabuza. 2nd movie what .. the exams? 3rd is retrieving Sasuke? Where do you fit Itachi and jiriyah?

Destin is actually a good director but the anime to live action pipeline is very difficult to pull off, even more so than a comic book movie. This is their 1 shot at making it work.
Will they keep jokes like sexy jutsu and 1000 years of death or will they go the coward route.
