It can be good, it's just mostly slice of life stuff that fluffs out the other characters for the og naruto, if you enjoy it so far and want to see more of them then by all means just watch it all
it's very rare that filler is good. it's usually shit written by the studio for the sole purpose of padding out the story so that the anime doesn't catch up to the manga.
There are 80 episodes of shitty filler after the end of the Sasuke Retrieval Arc. Not a single canon episode between 142 and 220 (the last episode of part 1) and 220 isn't even all canon.
yeah it really goes downhill after the fight with gaara. Nothing really came close to it until the Pain fight and by that time, I was beyond tired of it. It's not just all the filler, it's the incredibly drawn out canon scenes. You could really tell they were desperate for that show to run for as long as they could squeeze it.
shippuden is philosophy kino and "villains" who literally did nothing wrong

They have flashback sequences of the same shit over and over because it was a series you had to tune in every week. Marathoning weekly series is utter cancer, 50% of the shit is filler.
