Yeah just to be clear, that only means they don't outright ban it. If you're a gay guy in Rwanda who gets fired for being gay or banned from a restaurant for being gay, there's frick all you can do legally about it. Rural Alabama has more protections for gay people than Rwanda.

He was two years old when his family moved to Scotland. He never knew what it was like to be gay in Rwanda and in his lifetime it has always been acceptable to be gay in Scotland. He was cast as Doctor Who precisely because the gay showrunner wanted a gay Doctor Who. He has experienced the most privilege a gay black man could possibly have in the history of civilisation and he still isn't satisfied.
If he still lived in Rwanda there's a solid chance he would have been killed just for being gay. There are no legal protections for LGBT people in Rwanda. I don't understand why you would move to a country that has strict laws protecting you, and then just b***h about the place.
