Why is Stark/Iron Man portrayed as something special if he's not even cutting edge? Iron Man is considered top tier, so why doesn't Wakanda just send out 3 or 4 guys from their military and basically solve anything the Avengers do?

The average wakandan civilian couldn't give a shit about what the avengers are doing. They are strict isolationists, and dislike others getting ahold of their tech.
Most of BP’s problems are his people having a problem with him being a superhero. And that includes his white brother that wants him to go home and rule over them.
The isolationist argument doesn't work when half the threats the Avengers face are world ending. Earth blowing up would definitely be their problem.

This reminds me of something that happen in a flashback story by Bendis where the skrulls makes the same judgement of Iron Man's armour, which jjust raises the question, if you have better technology and infinitly better ressources as a galaxy spanning empire, why aren't you mass producing better iron man instead of just sending the same mook with lazer guns.
