Oh this looks pretty nea- >it's another "retro thing but evil!!!!!" series
A bit of a shame since despite the tired faux-retro style I like the designs
The white room thing is more an aspect of the series rather than the whole thing. I think it's really easy and probably preferable to overlook the """horror""" and just see this series as a cute little fake PS2 game.
>white room is involved in a mass recall >all the early cutscenes take place in white rooms >multiple promos involve blank white screens >the "official website" is a white room

WHAT DOES IT MEAN
my interest destroyed as fast as it was created. I genuinely feel bad that these clear passion projects are clearly being changed to be some gay analog horror thing because the creators didn't think anyone would care if it wasn't chasing the current 'popular' thing but I just have zero fricking interest in this concept anymore as its been done to death
>passion projects are clearly being changed to be some gay analog horror thing
Lovely how you know the thoughts of the creators behind this thing, that they’re chasing a trend they aren’t even riding, and it would be weird that they changed their passion project considering they were already known for creating similar stuff like this in the past.
But it's not though? it's been so clear this is a passion project. The creators don't advertise, they don't interact with fans, they don't make homosexual jokes and use the characters outside the videos.
I have no clue what "analog horror" stuff you're on about because it's nowhere to be found in this project. Nothing has changed. If anything it's been leaning less and less away from horror than it has into it.
There's no SCARY FACE but there's some off-putting elements to the story:
>Zeno talks about 'taking back what belongs to his kind' while looking at the sun >Nebula's plan to save the sun involves taking fragments from planetary cores >it's explicitly stated this won't solve the problem forever and those fragments are what keeps those planets alive
>In all the OST covers, Quasar is always in the background while Nebula is the star >Nebula is shown to be clearly more heroic and clever than Quasar, >It's explicitly shown that you fight Quasar in-game (possibly possessed) >the SMG4-style parody video implies that Quasar makes a deal with Zeno at some point
>everyone is shit scared of something called Midnight >in-game news report shows a countdown >a clock in the story trailer shows the "five minutes to midnight" position >it's implied to be the moment the Replacement Sun runs out of batteries, but the video and the comments implies there's something more to it
>1999 ET video had an off-putting ambience to it
Y2K is just like that, claustrophobic and lifeless. It's interesting how 1999 "Nebula" shares 2002 Quasar's love of police brutality.
You also didn't mention that the 1999 ET video had an off-putting ambience to it and there are also some other creepy hints like [...]

That large ass mouth creature is also creepy in itself.
The game itself is just a device for the larger analog horror story but it's still impressive that they've put so much work into developing it, I just wonder what the payoff is going to be
I'm just wondering why they took almost a year to even drop anything remotely hinting at the wider story behind the game, they're really taking their time with this one

I guess. The sun shutting down is already a pretty scary concept by itself, albeit not that original. How ironic, the sun not working is a part of the idiom “nothing new under the sun”.
Do you remember Blue Omen Operation? They took a break last February and haven’t come back in over a year

It was this cool as shit 80’s manga inspired RPG that had gameplay inspired by the M&L series. It looked so good and was fully funded in 2017. Sadly, it was too ambitious so 11 months ago they decided to take a “hiatus”. There was an update of May last year but only for the eyes of backers.
I’m hoping NAQ doesn’t fall in the same trap

probably to build up an audience before they start dropping payloads. and to give new viewers a healthy backlog.
or maybe this was something they did for fun that they're just now wanting to make a story out of.
These characters are too cute to be wasted on a shitty analog horror series. At least make a cartoon series or a video game with them.
From what's been painfully obvious, It's just an old game with development troubles.
-2 channels document the game and content around it and that's that.
-No, it's not a horror series.
-No, it's not setting up "dead kids trapped in a game" or any other stupid shit like that.
It's just a "what if" series.
Fun animations, banger music, cool development lore.
You can be focused on one thing or another, you decide, NAQ gives you that option.
It's not an ARG. It's not a series I see ever ending with a big "final video"
It's just an project made by (from what's public) 2 people.
what's being presented is something unique and original.
We need to relax.
ARGs require player involvement to progress, NAQs videos could continue even if they had 0 subscribers. There's nothing we can say or do to alter the videos. Just because NAQ interacts with comments doesn't make it an ARG.
It's an ARG and is implied to be horror you dumbass, the Demo Copy video is what allude to it having horror elements prepared for it.
In fact, you can already find hints and subtle signs throughout the videos and official art that there are disturbing things if you pay attention but I don't think your lobotomized ass brain has the mental capacity to see it.
I'm just wondering why they took almost a year to even drop anything remotely hinting at the wider story behind the game, they're really taking their time with this one
This sort of retro stuff is super popular with zoomers right now. 99% of the time they don't quite get the aesthetic right, this one is no exception but it still looks pretty good. I'm not at all keen on the idea of it becoming a horror series like the recall video is implying though
You guys must be seriously blind if you think this isn't an ARG and even more blind if you don't think there is going to be horror in it.
Pay attention to the videos and details.
It is not an analog type one, but it is certainly horror and an ARG
The Demo Copy video is supposed to tell you that there will be a big reveal behind the cute facade or atleast very offputing videos soon
You already have hints like Quasar doing that creepy face and the 1999 ET video having an uncanny ambience
Oh this looks pretty nea-

i will say, they do have a nice bun
I'm making my way through the Wayback Machine, seems to be all bunnies. For some reason I thought going to Spring 2002 would reveal something but nah
Since they put the idea of a "white room" being bad fricking news in my head, that bunny had started giving me the creeps.
is it different bunnies or is it just the same bunny
this looks like one of Scott Cawthon's early games rather than a ps2 thing
The creator's last project was FNAF-related, so Desolate Hope was probably the inspiration for that thing.
what was their last project
This: https://youtu.be/G0cxvguS-GI?si=-KEixBl_9h8piHK3
The final video is 3D animated, 100% inspired by Scott's old Christian cartoons.
Desolate Hope was great.
It's a shame it'll never get a true sequel.

Where are people getting the idea that this is gonna be some le analog horror thing

I think those are like the goombas of the game.
>it's another "retro thing but evil!!!!!" series
God, I'm just so burnt out on all of that thanks to the Mario 64 "betas".
I’m still pissed off because of that AR puppet show from the 70’s that I forgot the name to looked decent enough to be a straightforward kids show
How is it evil?
I wonder if it’s going to be a commentary like
>police/heroes aren’t perfect and they’re psychopathic murderers actually
That’s the vibe I’m getting
The game itself is just a device for the larger analog horror story but it's still impressive that they've put so much work into developing it, I just wonder what the payoff is going to be
I hope it doesn’t take too long like Blue Omen Operation
I'm just wondering why they took almost a year to even drop anything remotely hinting at the wider story behind the game, they're really taking their time with this one

Zeno is likely the chaddest character since he knows what's up.
you sympathize with the bad alien! And he ain't even cute!
When are they going to get to the fricking mystery/ evil thing this is obviously a cover for?
Getting bored of this "play our arg!" Bullshit
There are already subtle hints that we may get to that part soon
what's it about anyways?
funny face
Celeste is too horny.
I want to pinch her headnipples
>tfw PS2-style is becoming the new retro
I would have sex with everyone in this image
Threesome?
Nova is a hag, she is too old for us.
Is she their elder sibling or their mom?
How about both?
b-but i like old women...
is it weird that i imagined these posts as a stan kelly comic
Nova looks like she fricks human men
Black men specifically, it looks like.
>Quasar shuddering in disgust
I'm sad this isn't a real show.
This looks fricking kino
I NEED to see more of Celeste and hear more of her voice since it's hard to make out there
i think that girl who simps over quesar is celeste?
I'd definitely watch a feature-length film of this
i want to plap-plap quesar's boypussy
>visit bouncehouse.com
>just actucal bounce houses for rent in Texas
Is there a higher quality image of this?
Nova looks like she's about to correct some brats.
what's even the plot of this shit
no seriously what is the story here
i really don't want to watch a bunch of videos without having any idea of what i'm getting into
From what's been painfully obvious, It's just an old game with development troubles.

For something so seemingly well-made it has such little attention, I can hardly even find any discussion about it aside from this thread
The creators don't advertise the series
Who are the creators? Have they worked on anything else? A lot of talent has gone into this series so far
BagelboySketch1 and Ak_Kaiju on twitter
They made Fazbear toddler fun
>It's not an ARG
It literally is though.
ARGs require player involvement to progress, NAQs videos could continue even if they had 0 subscribers. There's nothing we can say or do to alter the videos. Just because NAQ interacts with comments doesn't make it an ARG.

we're talking about nebula and quasar why are you so heated anon, calm down it's just a quirky series.
NAQ is not an ARG are you moronic.
ARG? This is just some obscure PS2 game from the early 2000s, are we talking about the same thing here?
the demo copy video is officially non-canon
What? Elaborate
This series is way too well-made to only be 2 people
.be
These characters are too cute to be wasted on a shitty analog horror series. At least make a cartoon series or a video game with them.
came here from /3/, qrd?
Wait so this isn't space channel 5? Up down up down shoot shoot shoot
That's my wife's favorite game
Funny. My mistress also loves that game.
It's my boyfriend's wife's favorite game too
reminds me of vlif
Why is the fanbase comprised entirely of zoomers?
This sort of retro stuff is super popular with zoomers right now. 99% of the time they don't quite get the aesthetic right, this one is no exception but it still looks pretty good. I'm not at all keen on the idea of it becoming a horror series like the recall video is implying though
>zoomers are nostalgic for the 2000s now
damn im getting old
What fanbase? The videos barely break 5k views
they kind of ruined the whole unfiction thing by putting the voice actors right on the front page of the channel ffs
Who cares we all know the series is fake, that's such a nothing thing to complain about. Let them be credited, they've done great work.
I didn't until reading the comments, it's just that well made
immersion is a meme
Forget all the ARG nonsense I'm really enjoying the ost
I think the OST is it's weak spot
Same
How?
These are bangers and I can't tell you how much I've listened to the OST
?si=erXUsJ4HZEy9SntY
?si=UaiSufvvttQ_yP2K
Why does this ARG exist?
because its awesome
It reminds me of bomberman
>only 1 fanfic
>it's Quasar blowing Celeste's back out
based
Which one is Celeste?
Really? It’s not even finished
This one
Oh yeah. Ok, but he looks like he’s not having a good time.
>high quality
>orphaned
>didn't have much traffic in the first place since niche
For what fricking reason
This has, what, maybe a hundred fans if that and there's already rule 34 of it
What's your headcanon on why they're in jail?
being too cute in public
They're going around stealing bits of each planet's core, some people probably object to that
>spoiler
That sounds like it would be the main objective of the game. “Heroes go by the ends justify the means” kind of message
yeah but the demo had a slightly...different message let's just say
I’m sorry, I don’t understand. You mean where unauthorized copies were made?
should i make a TVtropes page for this?
Depends, how much do you like sucking wiener?
Nova with her pet trimming
How did you all even hear about this considering how obscure it is?
The algorithm? Porn?
/uh/
/3/
The /trash/ unfiction general
This
I saw a guy post the OP image on /x/ and looked it up to draw porn of the blue girl
Anons I'm going to sleep now, can you keep this thread up until I wake up? Thank you
You guys must be seriously blind if you think this isn't an ARG and even more blind if you don't think there is going to be horror in it.

They wouldn't go through all this effort if it was really just some analog horror ARG

seriously what the hell was up with that
What was his fricking problem?
Being kinda spacey
Cute space cadet, shame her brother is insane.
Are the antenna characters aliens, robots, something else?
They're aliens. But considering the subtle elements of horror behind the series they might aswell be demons in disguise.
Some people consider aliens to be demons.
They just look like bomberman ripoffs to me.
So what happened in the White Room?
