This version of Darkwing is actually selling real good apparently last I heard, of course enough to get a spinoff here.

There's a bit of an arc in the latest couple of issues, but yeah, nothing huge. There isn't a lot of interest in the Dynamite comics here in general. Even the Gargoyles dumps don't get a lot of response.
To be fair, it's not a Darkwing show. Though I wouldn't have minded if they went with the original plan of Negaduck hijacking Taurus Bulba's plan to make it his own.

The Fearsome Five were the best villain group in the show IMO. F.O.W.L. just couldn’t compare; it was just so forgettable.
I love Steelbeak and F.O.W.L. conceptually, but the rest of the members don't compare

The only change from the old series is that Mayor Owlson is in the new one, otherwise the comic would suit perfectly for more episodes.
