El Tigre was great, rehashing El Tigre as your personal niche is gay.
He is a really cool, upbeat guy that typically jokes around and is fairly positive when he is in a room. No one actually hates him.
As far as creative work goes, he only really has like one idea that he just repeats over and over again. He is basically like Kyle Carozza in that regard, constantly pitching the same concept slightly reshuffled and with different names a few hundred times. And his success really stems from corporate execs paying him to make content for potential Latin market in the US. Nick wanted a Mexican centric show, Netflix wanted a Mexican-centric show, PAramount wanted a Mexican-centric movie. Once that dried up he does not really have a whole lot left. It's the same characters, in the same art style, doing the same things.
People are getting tired of the close knit Mexican family, with supernatural underpinnings, drawn in his very specific style a 4th time.

He's not really hired for his vision. He is hired because studios want to diversify their output audiences. The actual problem is Jorge is a one trick pony and people are getting tired of his one trick.
If his time in animation is coming to an end he should reorient to graphic design/illustration. He’s been hired for some things here and there and it looked snazzy. Not like he hasn’t had a good career.
What is Netflix's problem, and why did they change their stance so quickly. It seemed like they wanted to be a hub for unique and original animation and it all ended very fast.

Myrkott's deal is about to expire next year, so that also means Masameer County's well on its way to cancellation.
The first couple shows from their new animation department just failed, as much as a Netflix show can fail. No one watched or cared about them. Most of the rest of their output was more of the exact same from the exact same group of people. Investors dropped them pretty hard in early 2022, and Netflix started purging nearly the whole thing by August 2022.
Also Netflix did see a pretty quick dropoff in subscriptions in early 2021 when Paramount and HBO Max appeared. They were anticipating a massive loss in subscriptions for the next couple years.
